Lunations and Other Cosmic Events

This month is loaded with astrological activity which includes two Full Moons, the usual New Moon as well as two planets stationing retrograde.  The Full Moon on July 1 is in Capricorn, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel.  If your birthday is right around November 2 this lunation could bring you the culmination or shift to a new phase of an idea.  The Sun is in fellow Water Sign, Cancer, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, philosophy of life, higher learning, legal matters, long-distance travel and relocation, highlighting this part of your life.  Mars is there as well, throwing some drive and energy in that direction as well.  But the main thing is that Neptune in the other Water Sign, Pisces, is tied into the lunation in a Triangle of Potential which could bring something good your way that pertains to your 5th house of creativity, children, ego definition, self-expression, romance, entertainment or speculation.  The Sun and Neptune both trine your natal Sun if you were born November 2, thus creating a Grand Water Trine which should bring something good your way.

This lunation also has a sextile pattern which tends to bring opportunities of some description.  Uranus in Aries, Mercury in Gemini, and the conjunction between Jupiter and Venus are involved so let's see what that could do for you.  Jupiter and Venus, two benefics, are in Loe, your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status, which should have a favorable effect on this part of your life.  I hope you've had the opportunity to see these two in the western sky after sunset because they've been putting on a beautiful lightshow that's hard to miss.  Mercury in Gemini, your 8th house of transformations, things you suppress, intense experiences, debt, shared resources, as well as death and regeneration could bring you news or information of an important nature that brings an opportunity careerwise.  Uranus in Aries, your 6th house of work, suggests surprises, so whatever you find out is likely to be unexpected, but it looks as if it will be good.

The New Moon on July 15 is in fellow Water Sign, Cancer, your 9th house of beliefs and such as defined earlier.  This could bring something new to this part of your life.  It's interesting the Mercury and Mars are conjunct in that same sign which suggests taking action on an idea or information but both are opposing Pluto in your 3rd house which implies you may need to exhume some negative thought or get rid of some other 3rd house matter to do so.  Thoughts are what ultimately feed your beliefs so there is always a connection between the two.  Pluto in the 3rd could indicate controlling thoughts which could be contrary to your beliefs in some way.  A hectic pace or upsets at work could change your attitude but if you can manage it and perhaps in this case maintain control in a positive way it could have a favorable impact on your career or status.

Venus stations retrograde on July 25 shortly after she sets foot in Virgo, sign of her fall.  This reminds me of what it's like to step into ice cold water which makes you change your mind about going swimming.  Virgo is your 11th house of goals, groups, organizations, friends, networking, hopes and wishes and ordinarily Venus in this house is beneficial.  However, it looks as if whatever she may bring is going to go through a period of reversals after which you'll need to review your beliefs and expectations or other 9th house matter for a while.  While Venus is the evening star she's considered the goddess of love but once she passes the Sun and becomes the morning star she's considered the goddess of war.  This is when she puts on her armor and goes after what she wants.  She rules your 7th house of relationships as well as your 12th house of spirituality and the subconscious so these are likely to be involved as well.  Perhaps it will appear that a friend is about to become closer, then fades for some reason, at least for a while.  The main thing is to be aware that anything that starts at this time may get stalled.

The next day on July 26 Uranus stations retrograde in Aries, your house of work, health, service and pets.  He does so squaring Mars, your traditional sign ruler, still hanging out in your 9th house of beliefs and expectations.  This could bring some tension or challenges at work which will stall any efforts to expand your career or status.  The Sun and Mercury are in Leo, your 10th house of career, which suggest it's being highlighted at this time with Mercury providing information which may not all be favorable.

The Full Moon on July 31 is in Aquarius, your 4th house of home environment, cultural roots, memories, endings and new beginnings which suggests an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase.  If your birthday is right around October 31 this lunation forms a T-square with your natal Sun which suggests some challenges between home and work.  Saturn in your first house usually brings some difficult times but while retrograde he is trying to tell you something that usually relates to responsibility or discipline.  Saturn is the ruler of your 3rd house of thoughts and such and the traditional ruler of your 4th, so restructuring or rebuilding something is implied.  Pushing the envelope at this time may prove to be a bad idea so listen to your intuition and tune into what the cosmos is trying to tell you.
