Lunations and Other Cosmic Events

This month there aren't any dramatic cosmic events like eclipses, just two garden-variety lunations and Uranus stationing direct.  This is not to say that something won't sneak up on you, however, because there are a few things out there that can arouse some suspicion.  For one thing, when Uranus stations direct the day after the Full Moon, all the planets will be in direct motion for a little over a week covering the last few days of December and into January.  This doesn't happen very often so it will be interesting to see how it feels.  Retrograde planets internalize their energy and since Uranus is the planet that rules explosions, rebellions, breaking away, freedom, technology and sudden change there's no telling whether going direct will provide an improvement to what's been going on in the world lately.  Uranus is also part of a T-square with two other malefic planets that I'll get to in a moment.

The New Moon on December 11 is in Sagittarius, your 2nd house of income, possessions, finances, comforts, needs and pleasures.  This suggests something new coming your way in this part of your life and also offers some help toward mitigating any ill-effects from that infamous T-square.  Your modern sign ruler, Pluto, and Uranus have been squared off for quite a while now and that is going to continue for a while.  Pluto is in your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel which should work well for you in increasing your uncanny sense of discernment and xray vision.  If there's anyone who can get to the bottom of a mystery it's a Scorpio, though it can also contribute to your tendency toward obsession and control.  Since this is a T-square which implies extreme tension and a possible deadlock, it's likely these more negative manifestations may be what you're dealing with.  Uranus in Aries, your 6th house of work, service, health and pets, has probably brought a variety of upsets, disturbances and surprises to this part of your life.  This would undoubtedly trigger your need for control.  Now Mars, your traditional sign ruler, is in Libra, your 12th house of your subconscious mind, spirituality, hidden enemies, self-undoing, seclusion, confinement, institutions, inspiration and enlightenment, suggesting the possibility of becoming your own worst enemy.

If this rings true, then take a look at the New Moon in your 2nd house of money and comforts.  Perhaps you need to take a break to clear your head, downsize, rework your budget (usually a challenge, I know) or prioritize what you really need versus other motivations.  Saturn is hanging out in this house as well, which should help you sort things out except he's at a disadvantage currently due to squaring Neptune in your 5th house of creativity, children, romance, entertainment, ego definition and speculation.  While Saturn love to provide structure, responsibility and organization, Neptune is dreamy, idealistic, delusional and often lazy, the ultimate "ignore it and it will go away" influence.  Venus in your sign, and conjunct your natal Sun if your birthday is right around October 31, should be able to help you out, perhaps by simply increasing your natural charm and charisma such that you can have your cake and eat it, too.

The Full Moon on Christmas Day is in fellow Water Sign, Cancer, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, philosophy of life, legal matters, academia, long-distance travel, relocation, politics and religion suggesting an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase of something in this part of your life.  The T-square has dissipated though Uranus and Pluto are still squared off.  Mars is now squaring Mercury in Capricorn, your 3rd house of thoughts and such as noted earlier.  Something about this suggests sabotage, either by someone you think is your friend or perhaps your own self-defeating behavior.  Venus should come to the rescue once again, however, her connection with Jupiter offering an opportunity to work this through, possibly with the help of a friend, group, organization, networking or recommitting to your goals, hopes and wishes.  If your tendency toward obsession is directed in positive paths it can be your greatest asset.  Jupiter's involvement suggests calling in outside help of some sort, so use it to advantage rather than trying to solve everything on your own.  Your secretive nature makes this difficult, but in this case it can bring considerable help.
