Lunations and Other Cosmic Events

This month the cosmic events look somewhat benign since we only have garden-variety lunations, i.e. no eclipses, and there is one planet stationing direct, which means that they will all be in direct motion the last few days of December and into January.  This is somewhat unusual so worth noting and seeing how it feels.  However, this is not to say that something won't sneak in there because there are a few things going on that bear watching.  Uranus is the planet stationing direct and he rules such lovely things as explosions, rebellion, freedom, technology, disruptions, sudden change and innovation.  Retrograde motion internalizes a planet's energy but in this case there's no telling what we might see when it gets expressed, particularly given that he's tied into a somewhat ominous looking T-square associated with the New Moon. 

The New Moon occurs on December 11 in fellow Mutable Sign, Sagittarius, your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status; remember that "status" is inclusive of anything in the public record including such things as Facebook, so it's quite pervasive.  One thing worth noting is that this lunation, which should bring something new to this part of your life, can mitigate any ill-effects of that T-square involving Uranus, Mars and Pluto.

Uranus and Pluto have been squared off for quite a while now and unfortunately, that's going to continue for a few more years.  Given that Pluto represents such things as power, control, covert operations, corruption, obsession, unresolved issues and, if you know even a tiny bit about mythology, the Underworld itself, you don't have to look too far to see how this is playing out.  Consider that Uranus' energy is being fused further by his placement in Aries, an impulsive and potentially aggressive sign, and Pluto is in Capricorn, ruler of corporations and governments, where his presence is pushing for power grabs and control even while more and more corruption is being exposed.  Thus, this square covers just about everything from terrorist activity to exposing the dark agendas of corporations like Monsanto and their collusion with government agencies. 

So, as if this isn't bad enough, now Mars, another malefic, has gotten into the act in Libra, another Cardinal sign, implying action, since that is what this classification of signs is known for.  Mars is in debility in Libra which may help some, perhaps by demanding negotiations.  However, a T-square implies a lot of stable, unyielding tension that is more likely a deadlock.  Setting aside world events, let's see how the natural house placement works out for Pisces which will lend some clues how this troublesome energy may manifest in your life.

Uranus is in your 2nd house of income, possessions, finances, needs, comforts and pleasures.  This suggests numerous upsets and disturbances in this part of your life, whether it's income disruptions or a series of unexpected events that cost money or keep you from getting the rest you need.  Pluto is in your 11th house of friends, groups, organizations, networking, goals, hopes and wishes, which suggests major transformations going on here as you eliminate anything in this area that isn't working or dealing with control issues.  Mars is in your 8th house of transformations, debt, shared resources, intense experiences, sex, death and rebirth.  Mars doesn't leave Libra until January 4 so until that time you need to be extra careful since this placement can make you more inclined to have an accident. 

The question you need to consider at this point is how can that New Moon in your 10th house of career and status help this situation?  Perhaps your best bet at this time is to suck it up and show your best face to the public.  If you've had an experience with the "Law of Attraction" you should know that acting as if you already have what you want/need can be a powerful influence toward bringing it your way.  Depending on what your specific problem is, perhaps someone in the form of a public figure can lend assistance. 

Another troublesome aspect out there is a square between Saturn and Neptune, another one that will last for a while but only into the middle of January as opposed to years.  This one can explain some really bad, downright delusional decisions on the part of government leaders lately.  For you, this could indicate placing your trust in people who don't deserve it or hoping for help that simply won't materialize.  This one is mitigated slightly by Venus in your 9th house of beliefs and expectations, which could once again bring a positive outlook that will also influence the Law of Attraction in your favor.

The Full Moon on Christmas Day is in fellow Water Sign, Cancer, your 5th house of creativity, ego definition, romance, children, entertainment and speculation, suggesting an ending, culmination of shift to a new phase of something in this part of your life.  The T-square has broken up though Mars is now squaring Mercury in your house of friends and goals, suggesting unfortunately news or information coming your way that is intense.  Venus is there to help again and further supported by your traditional sign ruler, Jupiter, hanging out in Virgo, your polar sign and 7th house of close relationships which implies someone you know well or perhaps a business professional can provide assistance. 

This month is a bit of a mixed bag with numerous challenges yet escape routes are provided so think positive and look for those helping hands with a smile and positive outlook.
