Lunations and Other Cosmic Events

This month has relatively few cosmic events, just the usual garden-variety lunations and Uranus stationing direct, which could help bring fewer surprises and shift more to breaking free and perhaps sudden changes but with more purpose behind them.  The New Moon on December 11 is in Sagittarius, your polar sign which represents your 7th house of close relationships including your significant other, business partners, business professionals, cliental, close friends and relatives.  This suggests someone new coming into your life, especially for those with a birthday right around June 11.  This lunation may also provide a mitigating effect for that T-square out there between three malefics, i.e. Uranus, Pluto and Mars, which are probably up to no good, especially with them all in Cardinal signs which tend to initiate action, for good or ill.

Uranus and Pluto have been squaring each other for quite a while and it's not going to end anytime soon.  This aspects is known for disruptions and trouble of all varieties given that Uranus rules such things as rebellion, explosions and breakups and Pluto rules power, control, corruption and covert operations.  Haven't seen any of that lately, eh?  Yeah, right.  So those bad boys are joined for this lunation by Mars, planet that rules action and aggression.  Mars is in Libra, sign of his debility, however, which helps a little by making him slightly less inclined toward unilateral action.  Nonetheless, this isn't a very friendly pattern.  Mars is in your 5th house of ego definition, children, romance, entertainment and speculation, suggesting action in this part of your life.  Uranus is in Aries, your 11th house of groups, friends and goals, and Pluto is in Capricorn, your 8th house of transformations, intense experiences, debt and shared resources.  This combination suggests ongoing conflicts and tension in these parts of your life.  Perhaps you want to pursue something but it will involve going into debt and thus jeopardize a long-term goal.  The New Moon could mitigate this via a third party who could possibly provide some good advice or the means to accomplish what you want through some other means.

That square between Saturn and Neptune persists due to the fact both are slow-moving planets.  They are antithetical by nature with a square exacerbating it even more.  While a trine could perhaps bring out the positive sides of both in a comfortable compromise, a square will be a resounding crash.  Saturn is in your 7th house of relationships and suggests an authority figure.  Neptune is in fellow Mutable Sign, Pisces, your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status.  While Neptune can be inspirational in this configuration he's more likely to be delusional and unrealistic.  Thus, if you're striving to attain your dreams, someone you know who resides in the 7th house could be resisting it and demanding material evidence of its success where all you can provide at this point is pie in the sky.  Venus, however, in Scorpio, your 6th house of work, service, health and pets, may be able to lend a helping hand, even though this is likely to take some effort on your part.  In this situation, however, any help should be welcomed with open arms.

The Full Moon on Christmas Day is in Cancer, your 2nd house of income, possessions, finances, needs, comforts and pleasures which suggests an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase of something in this part of your life.  This lunation could also lend some assistance with those career or status aspirations, especially with the Sun, Pluto and Mercury in Capricorn, your 8th house of shared resources.  Just make sure that you aren't selling your soul to the devil.  Taking action on that creative project or whatever else is going on in your 5th house as defined above, may encounter some unfavorable news but there's a nice sextile pattern out there between Jupiter, Venus and Mercury, the first two benefics and Mercury reflecting their influence.  Venus has been transiting your 6th house of work, health and pets which should bring her blessings to that part of your life. Jupiter expands what he touches and he's in Virgo, your 4th house of home environment, memories, cultural roots, endings and new beginnings.  Mercury in the 8th is the third component so this implies a new beginning that could be related to work and provide some financial relief, perhaps in the form of a raise or other benefit. Thus, this month has its challenges but there are some escape routes and help out there as well as this year draws to a close.
