Lunations and Other Cosmic Events

This month the first cosmic event to report is Saturn stationing direct on 2 August at 28:17 Scorpio, another Fixed Sign like yourself.  If your birthday is right around August 21 the station will square your natal Sun, giving it addition meaning and impact, especially considering that Jupiter is conjunct your Sun as well as Venus retrograde.  Your sign is loaded with planets currently including the Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and Venus.  Those latter two are of course also squaring Saturn.  While Saturn is retrograde, which started last March at 4:55 Sagittarius, he operates at the subconscious level stirring up something that needs to be restructured.  Sagittarius is another Fire Sign and represents your 5th house of creativity, ego definition, self-expression, children, romance, entertainment and speculation. 

If your birthday is right around 27 July the retrograde station trined your Sun, giving it some extra influence.  As the retrograde period progressed he went back into Scorpio, your 4th house of home environment, cultural roots, memories, endings and new beginnings.  Since his trek touches on two different signs and houses you'll need to look at both to determine his message.  This looks as if it could be something like restructuring your obligations to your home and children or romantic interests with your own needs for self-expression.  About the time he stations direct you should become consciously aware of what needs to be restructured and thus able to start doing so.  Saturn RX typically slows things down but now they should start to move again, especially with a little extra boost from Mars in your 12th house which could motivate a move toward your dreams.

Those squares from Jupiter and Venus present a few obstacles, however.  One may be your ego and the other your career and/or issues related to thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors or perhaps local travel.  These may keep you so busy that you don't have time or sufficient peace and quiet to sort through such things but simply put one foot in front of the other day after day, trying to keep up.  Uranus in your 9th house of beliefs and expectations is lending a hand, however, which may help you ditch any old paradigms or expectations holding you back and open your mind to innovation, originality and your own unique situation.  Inspiration at a level that could prove transformational is possible to bring about a slight change of direction as your sort all this out.

The New Moon on 14 August is in your Sign as well and conjunct your natal Sun if your birthday is that day.  If that's you, the effects of this lunation will be with you for the coming year as part of your solar return.  Being open-minded and ready to take on the world in a new way is favored though Venus retrograde is still in your sign encouraging some introspection into what you value the most and where you want to go with your career.  Venus retrograde eventually becomes the morning star at which point she is considered the warrior goddess as opposed to love goddess.  This is when she dons her armor, mutters "No more Ms. Nice Guy," and goes after what she wants, perhaps with a vengeance.  Jupiter and Mercury have slipped into Virgo, your 2nd house of income, possessions, finances, comforts, needs and pleasures which should have a favorable influence.  Jupiter will be there for about a year and providing a nice, expansive effect.  Mercury brings information and understanding though if you should enjoy a nice influx of cash in some form, be aware that it's not a bottomless coffer and some restraint and practicality is advised.  Taking control at work is favored as you become more knowledgeable, but make sure you're on solid ground there as well before making too much noise.

The Full Moon on August 29 is in Pisces, your 8th house of transformations, death and rebirth, debt, shared resources, intense experiences and things you suppress suggesting an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase of something related to this house.  The Moon is conjunct Neptune and the Sun conjunct Jupiter, bringing those influences to bear in this lunation as well.  This reinforces the earlier influence of balancing an increase in income with over-spending.  Leos love nice things and it's easy to go wild but keeping some extra set aside for the proverbial rainy day is definitely advised.  Mars and Venus retrograde are  conjunct and still hanging out in your sign.  If your birthday is right around August 7 they are also conjunct your natal Sun. This combination suggests thoughts about your career combined with your beliefs and expectations regarding your home life.  Of course when Mars and Venus get together it also points toward relationships.  Any of these might undergo some sort of purging, transformation or change of direction due to work or health issues.
