The first notable cosmic event for this month is Saturn stationing direct on 2 August.  Saturn is you traditional sign ruler so this is likely to have some bearing on you, even if it's somewhat subtle.  While Saturn is retrograde everything seems to move in slow motion.  Delays are the name of the game, boundaries are more than evident and limitations are everywhere.  Saturn stationed retrograde last March at 4:55 Sagittarius, your 11th house of friends and goals, so if you have any planets at 4-5 degrees of any sign (or of course key chart points like your ascendant or Midheaven) this retrograde had more impact.  The station at 28:17 Scorpio, 10th house of career, reputation, and status, will have increased meaning for those of you with planets at that degree of any sign.  For example, it's likely that your group activities and goals have been bogged down the past few months.  The station in your 10th house, however, should give things a bit more momentum, like being pulled out of the mud. 

The conjunction linking Venus and Jupiter in your polar sign, Leo, your 7th house of relationships, is squaring the station, however, suggesting there may be some relationship issues that will put a few conflicts in the way of moving forward with your career or status.  If you birthday is right around February 17 - 18 this will have a stronger influence.  Mars in Cancer, your 6th house, is trying to get things moving but he's in the house of his fall where he doesn't function quite so well.  When Mars gets frustrated in this sign it tends to result in something resembling a temper tantrum, so bear that in mind if your work or health is driving you in that direction.  It looks as if you could use a break and go in a slightly different direction long enough to unwind.  Talking things through with someone close to you can yield some important insights that could bring some innovative ideas on how to deal with it all.  Once Saturn gets back into Sagittarius on September 19 things should start to move again so hang in there.

The New Moon on 14 August is in Leo, your previously noted house of close relationships.  This includes your significant other, close friends and relatives, business partners, business professionals, competitors and open enemies.  If your birthday is right around February 11 this lunation opposes your natal Sun giving it additional importance.  This could bring a new person into your life or an existing relationship could shift to a new phase.  The lunation trines Uranus in Aries, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel.  Uranus is all about surprises, unexpected events, breaking free, technology, innovation, rebellion and so forth so this implies a new possibly brilliant flash that could come from or relate to someone close to you.  Note that Venus is retrograde in that same venue, having thrown it into reverse on 25 July.  This implies redefining a relationship, going after what you want in that regard, or perhaps backing away from one that isn't working.  Venus RX is the warrior goddess as opposed to the love goddess so keep that in mind as well.  Mercury in Virgo, your 8th house of transformations, intense experiences, death, rebirth and things you suppress, is trining Pluto in Capricorn, your 12th house of spirituality, institutions, confinement, enlightenment, your subconscious mind, seclusion and inspiration.  This combination suggests transformational insights could come your way, especially if your birthday is right around February 1 - 3.

The Full Moon is on 29 August in Pisces, your 2nd house of finances, income, possessions, needs, comforts and pleasures.  Typically this type of lunation brings an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase.  With Neptune conjunct the Moon and Jupiter conjunct the Sun in Virgo, your previously mentioned 8th house, whatever event this brings is likely to have a strong, spiritual influence.  Venus RX is conjunct Mars in your 7th house of relationships which suggests issues in this areas, perhaps involving a former lover.  This pair is quincunx Pluto in your 12th, suggesting a change of direction, perhaps letting go or resolving old issues with this person.  Generally speaking, this looks as if it could be a significant month.
