Lunations and Other Cosmic Events

The Full Moon this month is a Lunar Eclipse which occurs on April 4.  It peaks astrologically in the early morning at 7:05:31 AM CDT with Mercury rising, the Sun not far behind and the Moon hovering above the western horizon which will provide an interesting sunrise to those of you who may be awake and moving about at that time.  The Moon is in fellow Air Sign, Libra, your 9th house of higher learning, legal matters, other cultures, your philosophy of life, long-distance travel and relocation.  If your birthday is right around February 4 the Sun/Moon will form a Triangle of Potential with your Natal Sun and thus give it a stronger influence.  Remember that lunar eclipses tend to operate on the emotional level and their effects last longer than the typical garden-variety lunation.  With the Sun transiting Aries, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings and neighbors, it's likely that you'll be come aware of something new which has an emotional effect on your view of life.  Jupiter is quite engaged with the eclipse as well as Mercury and Uranus and will station direct in a few days, which I'll get to shortly, but this will further increase the eclipse's impact.  Taking slow and deliberate action in a slightly different direct with regard to something that concerns you deeply is possible as well.

Jupiter stations direct on April 8 in your polar sign, Leo, which is your 7th house of close relationships.  Those of you born on February 2 are likely to notice this since it will oppose your Sun.  At this time Uranus and Mercury are conjunct in your 3rd house of ideas and such as defined above and in a somewhat wide but viable trine with Jupiter as he dumps considerable energy into the degree where he's stationing, i.e. 12:35 Leo.  This suggests an influx of unexpected news or information with regard to a relationship.  This conjunction is also squaring Pluto which suggests it may relate to the past and/or something you need to release at the subconscious level.  The impetus to change course toward a new beginning is still there even though this may not be easy or painless.  Jupiter rules your 11th house of goals, friends, networking, groups and organizations and is the traditional ruler of your 2nd house of needs, comforts, pleasures and finances so factor those areas in as well.

The New Moon on April 18 is in Aries, your 3rd house, which is getting a lot of emphasis this month.  Those of your born around February 17 are most likely to have something new come about in this part of your life.  You may find any responsibilities you have toward toward groups or organizations or perhaps even personal goals may require some compromising due to other activities of a more pleasant nature compete for your time, even though there may be an impact to your finances that bites a bit.  Moving in a new direction is still emphasized but may bring a few challenges.  This is a time when thinking outside the proverbial box could bring the solutions you need and breaking with convention or tradition, which is something Aquarians should be able to handle more easily than other signs since innovative thinking is something at which you already excel.
