Lunations and Long-term Aspects

The Full Moon this month on September 8 is in your polar sign, Pisces, which is your 7th house of close relationships including your significant other, close friends and relatives, business partners, business professionals, cliental, competitors and open enemies.  So you find that as amusing as I do that your spouse as well as open enemies reside in the same astrological domain?  As always, a Full Moon typically indicates an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase so see how that may fit your circumstances.  With the Sun in your sign there is an emphasis on you at this time and thus balance between you and the others in your life.  If your birthday falls on this date then this lunation will be with you for the entire year and thus have stronger emphasis now as well as in the months to come.  If you've never indulged in a solar return report there is no time like the present to get a glimpse of what's coming your way in the coming year.  Here are a few hints:

Venus is also in Virgo opposing Neptune in Pisces, each slightly upstream from the lunation which is of course an opposition between the Sun and Moon.  Venus rules your 2nd house of finances, income, possessions, comforts, needs and pleasures as well as you 9th house of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, philosophy of life, other cultures, long-distance travel, legal matters and relocation which bring these matters into the mix as well, perhaps best summarized as your attitude toward money and material things, which could be emphasized one way or the other at the time.  Neptune is the modern ruler of Pisces so he's at home right now in your 7th house of relationships.  Neptune is compassionate and loves to help others but can also be delusional, deceptive and confusing.  On the positive side he can be inspirational and deliver enlightenment.  What this opposition seems to be saying is to go ahead and dream but bear in mind that they may not necessarily become reality.  This also suggests that advice from someone may not be accurate and bears further investigation.  Those of you born right around August 28 should pay particularly attention to his aspect since Venus is conjunct your natal Sun.

Your sign ruler, Mercury, is in Libra, your 2nd house of money as described above which suggests conversations and information related to those matters.  He is sextile Jupiter in your 12th house which includes dreams, visions, inspiration, spirituality, your subconscious mind, institutions, seclusion, confinement, hidden enemies and self-defeating behaviors.  This aspect can bring some big dreams and ideas related to your financial situation or perhaps needs of various other varieties.  Uranus in your 8th house of transformations is throwing some innovation in that direction which could include brilliant flashes of inspiration.  You should examine these closely for viability since it's possible they will bring about a change of course you weren't expecting.

Saturn is in your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel and tied in with the lunation as well which can provide structure and discipline toward going after whatever you have in mind.  Pluto in Capricorn, another Earth Sign like Virgo and your 5th house of ego definition, children, romance, creativity, entertainment and speculation, is suggesting a transformation is possible as a result of that big idea.  There's a lot of continuity between these aspects with tie together in numerous ways.  Take some time to ponder what they're saying to you and what action may be required.  As you experience your solar return this time of year you start a new cycle which started to phase in about a month ago.  Think about what has caught your attention the last little while and what the implications might be in the context of these cosmic influences.

Pluto stations direct on September 22/23 depending on your time zone (a detail your sign probably appreciates more than most.)  This will put a bit more punch into that transformation energy coming from your 5th house which includes how you see yourself while the 1st house represents how others see you and the 10th what the general public thinks of you.  Virgos tend to be pretty hard on themselves due to their perfectionistic inclinations so maybe Pluto's mission is to help you see yourself in a different way and appreciate your talents and abilities more fully.

The New Moon on September 23/24 is in Libra, your 2nd house of money, needs and pleasures.  This suggests something new coming in this area which of course ties in with everything that was going on with the Full Moon which suggested a new direction.  Mercury is still in your 2nd house which facilitates information and conversations on those same subjects.  At this point Venus will be on your natal Sun if your birthday is right around September 16 which could yield some additional luck.  Jupiter is still expanding your imagination and bringing innovative ideas in that can also contribute to that transformation.  This is not to say that a major change will be easy; undoubtedly it will present a challenge, but most things that are worth pursuing aren't handed to you on the proverbial silver platter.

The main thing you need to watch for if you decide to take action is to make sure you put your natural common sense to good use.  Do the math and don't trust everything you may be told, especially if a business partner is involved.  Beware especially of someone your instincts tell you is a snake oil salesman.  You may have both feet on the ground but the other person might not, so make sure you deal with the facts first and foremost.  Having a vision of your ultimate goal is necessary and it's okay to dream big but make sure you don't bet the farm on something that could be no more than a pipe dream.
