Lunations and Long-term Aspects

The Full Moon this month on September 8 is in fellow Water Sign, Pisces, your 5th house of creativity, romance, children, entertainment, ego definition and speculation.  This lunation will hit you in an especially fortunate way if your birthday is right around November 9 since your natal Sun is in positive aspect with both the Sun and Moon.  The Sun is in Virgo, your 11th house of goals, friends, organizations, networking, groups, hopes and wishes which highlights that part of your life and reflects on you as well as those fun matters in the 5th as described above.  With Venus upstream from the Sun and Neptune upstream from the Moon those two further enhance this lunation with their influence the strongest for those of you born right around October 29.  Venus in your 11th house of friends should work nicely for pleasant associations and enjoyable times while Neptune in your 5th can bring dreams and fantasies your way.  The opposition between these last two suggests the need for balance; don't allow your expectations to get too far out of hand but enjoy yourself and relax.

Saturn is still in your sign and parked on your natal Sun if your birthday is right around November 11.  This can be a rather grueling transit which forces you to take responsibility and reminds you of the various boundaries and obligations you must meet.  Saturn is in harmonious aspect with the lunation, too, however, which puts these generally serious vibes at your beckon-call.  Getting your life organized is sometimes boring yet essential and leads to less stress in the long haul.  Saturn rules your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel and is the traditional ruler of your 4th which includes your home environment, cultural roots, memories, endings and new beginnings so these matters are likely to be in the forefront and benefit the most from your taking the bull by the horns and putting things in order.  Mars, your traditional sign ruler, is in your sign and on your natal Sun if your birthday is right around November 19.  Put that energy and drive to good use.

Jupiter is in Leo, another fixed sign like yourself and in your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status.  Jupiter tends to inflate and expand what he touches and while this is often seen as luck he can also expand things that aren't so nice; I see him as somewhat neutral like Mercury, simply magnifying what he touches, one way or the other.  If he's squaring your natal Sun which is the case if your birthday is right around November 4 you may confront some challenges in this area.  This is not always a bad thing but could simply indicate some effort and hard work is required to achieve what you want in this part of your life.

Jupiter is quincunx Pluto, your modern sign ruler who's hanging out for the long-haul in Capricorn, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas and such as previously noted.  BTW, he is in a condition called "mutual reception" with Saturn which occurs when two planets are in the house the other rules, allowing them to work together in a useful way.  Pluto relates to power, control, obsession, elimination, intense experiences, things you suppress and transformations.  The simplest interpretation of this Jupiter - Pluto aspect is a major transformation regarding your status or career based on how you think.  This is one of those "thoughts become things" situations where you would do well to visualize what you really want the most out of life and set out on a path to go there. Pluto stations direct on September 22/23 which will bring an additional jolt.  Pay particular attention to your thoughts at that time.

The New Moon on September 23/24 is in nextdoor neighboring sign, Libra, your 12th house of visions, dreams, inspiration, spirituality, enlightenment, seclusion, confinement, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing as well as your subconscious mind.  This is an excellent time for meditation and getting in touch with your higher self, especially with Mercury in that sign as well.  A New Moon typically brings something new so watch for it so you can take full advantage of it.  This could be a new insight of experience that touches you at the spiritual level.  Most of the planets are going solo at this time and thus there are not too many aspects.  The trine between Jupiter and Uranus suggest the potential for an important and unexpected situation related to your job and career.  Venus is still cruising through your house of friends and networking so perhaps something can hail from there.  Getting your head around it may not be easy or it may present a daunting challenge.

Your traditional sign ruler, Mars, is in your 2nd house of income, possessions, finances, needs, comforts, pleasures and what you value which suggests serious energy pursuing these types of matters.  There is a caution flag attached, however, since Mars is squaring Neptune in your 5th house of ego which suggests the need to be realistic or you may set yourself up for disappointment.  Thus, if anyone makes any offers or promises that relate to money or one of those other 2nd house goodies be aware that it may only be an illusion or perhaps you don't understand as well as you thought.  It could be a situation where, like they say, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.  Proceed with caution.
