Lunations and Long-term Aspects

The Full Moon this month on September 8/9 is in Pisces, your 4th house of home environment, cultural roots, memories, endings and new beginnings. The opposing Sun is in Virgo, your 10th house of career, status, public image and reputation which suggests the need to balance these two houses, perhaps involving work and home, which is certainly a common situation.  It could also be a matter of letting go of something on which you've built a reputation in order to pursue something new.  If your birthday is right around December 9 your natal Sun is right in the middle forming a T-square which will make this lunation more significant.

Venus is in your 10th as well bringing her blessings to your career and so forth, particularly as ruler of your 6th house of work and 11th of goals which implies this will have something to do with your work and status.  Venus is just upstream from the Sun in Virgo and opposing Neptune in Pisces, just upstream from the Moon.  Neptune can be idealistic and even delusional so it's important to do everything possible to see things clearly.  This would be a time when cautious or informed optimism is well-advised.  Saturn is in Scorpio, your 12th house which includes your subconscious, and in favorable aspect with both the Sun and Moon which will help resolve whatever dilemma on display.  Saturn rules such things as responsibility, structure, boundaries and tradition which can come in quite handy at this time.  Just make sure you know the difference between intuition and emotion.  For example, you may experience some trepidation if it's a somewhat intimidating step yet it will be what's best in the long haul.  So don't let a sense of fear keep you from what may be an excellent opportunity.

Your sign ruler, Jupiter, is in fellow Fire Sign, Leo, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, philosophy of life, long-distance travel, other cultures, legal matters and higher learning.  This is the house that Sagittarius occupies zodiacally which means that he is accidentally dignified since these are matters he naturally has an affinity for.  This will being an expansion and acceleration of activities in this part of your life.  If your birthday is right around December 4 he forms a trine with your natal Sun which increases his favorable influence even more.  Sometimes Jupiter can bring too much of a good thing, but in general this should be good.  He's in partile quincunx with Pluto in Capricorn, your 2nd house of income, finances, possessions, comforts, needs and pleasures which suggests some adjustments in this area as a result.

Pluto influences such things as power, control, elimination, corruption and transformations so this implies you may undergo a dramatic change in your attitude toward this part of your life.  For example, perhaps you'll decide that money isn't as important as you originally believed and decide to go for a job you love even though it won't pay as much.  This of course ties in nicely with the action going on in your house of career.  Being your authentic self is an important thing to consider as well, something which is required to be satisfied and happy with your livelihood.  Pluto stations direct on September 22/23 which will give his influence a further boost.

The New Moon on September 23/24 is in Libra, your 11th house of goals, hopes, wishes, networking, friends, groups and organizations.  This suggests a new opportunity in this area which likewise fits with the implications of the Full Moon described above.  If your birthday is right around November 24 this is more likely to affect you.  Mars has entered your sign at this time which will bring additional drive and energy in your direction.  Be aware, however, that he's squaring Neptune which throws a caution flag with regard to making sure you have all the facts and see things clearly before proceeding.  Make sure you read all the fineprint and gather as much information as possible to avoid stepping into something that isn't what you originally hoped.  This is not to say that the opportunity isn't a good one, only that you need to make sure you understand what you're getting into, i.e. what it is as well as what it is not.  I have accepted jobs before that were nothing like what was described in the interview so make sure you ask questions as well.  Your natural optimism will serve you well but even more so when you have a clear picture before you.
