The Full Moon this month on September 8 is in Pisces, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel.  In a way it's odd to consider that stable, practical and ambitious Cappies have dreamy Pisces on their house of thought.  This gets an additional boost with Neptune, Pisces' modern ruler, hanging out there as well.  Perhaps this sign which includes visions, dreams and inspiration is the source of their ambitions because in order to achieve something you must first visualize it.  An idea without follow-up is why there aren't more millionaires in the world.  A Full Moon typically brings an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase which is likely to relate to this part of your life.  It could relate to finishing up the planning for a new idea, a new phase of relating to a neighbor or sibling or perhaps things settling down on the home scene now that school is back in session. 

With the Sun in fellow Earth Sign, Virgo, this can be a philosophical time as well as the Sun transits and emphasizes your 9th house.  Also included are legal matters, higher learning, other cultures, long-distance travel, beliefs, expectations, philosophy of life, religion, politics, and relocation.  Whew!  That's a bunch, isn't it?  Venus is in that house as well which could bring a bit of luck, love or money into the picture as well.  What are your expectations of a love relationship?  Not to insert a shameless piece of self-promotion, but if that happens to be something that's on your mind you'd probably enjoy my upcoming lecture described in the rather glaring notice above.  After all, these horos are free so you really can't complain too much, right?  Venus is opposing Neptune which suggests the need for balance between inspiration and common sense.  This is usually not a problem for Cappies.

Your sign ruler, Saturn, is connected with this lunation in a favorable manner which can help you pull things together.  Saturn is in Scorpio, your 11th house of friends, organizations, groups, networking, goals, hopes and wishes.  As you probably know your ruling planet is all about responsibility, structure, planning, getting organized, discipline, hard work, tradition and in some cases boundaries and limitations.  If this lunation is about taking an idea to the next phase this suggests some networking or help from your friends is in order.  If your birthday is right around January 8 this is likely to have a stronger effect.  Those of you born right around January 2nd currently have Pluto parked on your natal Sun.  This is a rather grueling transit which tends to have an extremely transformational effect.  Exactly how that manifests will depend on which house in your natal chart that your Sun resides in. 

For example, my Sun is in my 4th house of home environment, memories, cultural roots, endings and new beginnings and I had this Pluto transit a few years ago.  By the time it was over I had retired after spending more than 20 years as a NASA contractor, sold my townhome in Houston and moved to my lakehouse in the Texas Hill Country.  No changes there, eh?  If you know which house your Sun is in you can check out the section on houses for clues.  If you don't send me an email with your date, time and place of birth along with your request for a free copy of your natal chart.  if you don't know what time you were born then I really can't help you much and you'll have to just go with the natural house structure I use here which makes your Sun Sign your 1st house.  I have found that both your natal and natural houses do have a bearing, however.  Obviously whatever transformational change you undergo it is going to affect you at the personal level which is your ascendant and 1st house. 

Pluto is in partile (same degree) quincunx with Jupiter in Leo which is your 8th house of transformations, further emphasizing that energy, as if Pluto isn't bad enough.  (By the way, if you're struggling with a Pluto transit Bil Tierney's book "Alive and Well with Pluto" is quite good.)  Transformations aren't always easy but they are what help you along your evolutionary path.  We're here to progress and these transits facilitate that.  The simplest delineation of the Jupiter - Pluto quincunx is that of a big change of course as the result of a life-changing experience.  The 8th house also includes sex, death and rebirth (both literally and figuratively), debt, shared resources, intense experiences and things you suppress.  Thus, any of these things could be involved.  Uranus in your 4th house is tied into this lunation as well suggesting disruptions or sudden changes at home or perhaps which constitute an ending or new beginning.  This also indicates a change of direction which might be quite a challenge.  This will be strongest for those of you born right around January 7.  Pluto stations direct on September 22/23 depending which time zone you're in, which will give an additional blast to this aspect so be on the lookout for it.

The New Moon on September 23/24 is in fellow Cardinal Sign, Libra, your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status.  This includes anything that might be found in the public record including such places as Facebook or other social media.  This is an excellent time to start a new endeavor or project related to this part of your life.  If your birthday is right around December 23 this will have a stronger effect.  Use it to your advantage.  Mars is in your 12th house at this time which means it's a good idea to watch your back.  Be particularly wary of deception.  This includes keeping an eye on yourself as well. If you have any self-defeating behaviors make sure you keep them under control.  This could be a time when for whatever reason you have a difficult time taking action on a new idea.  This is likely to derive from your subconscious so if you feel stuck or unmotivated or maybe even confused this could be the problem, more specifically for those of you with some knowledge of astrology, this is the result of a square between Neptune in your 3rd house of thought and Mars and in your 12th house. 

Pluto and Uranus are in a somewhat sloppy square which could still be enough to bring changes or disruptions that present a challenge with regard to those necessary changes or transformational activities.  Jupiter is in there inflating this as well, so it's likely to be significant.  Other than that, numerous planets including the lunation itself are going solo so there isn't much to report as far as transits, though of course they could be messing with your natal planets.  Nonetheless, at least for now things are relatively quiet.
