Lunations and Long-term Aspects

This month the Full Moon on July 12 is in fellow Earth Sign, Capricorn, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, legal matters, other cultures, long-distance travel, politics and religion.  If you birthday is right around May 11 you can expect something to develop in this area, perhaps as new thoughts or information comes your way and brings about an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase for something in that part of your life.  The lunation creates a somewhat loose but viable Grand Cross with the opposition between Uranus and Mars which is also somewhat sloppy but with the energy in Cardinal Signs its likely to stir up something.  Mercury goes direct on July 1 which will finally take us to the point where we can move forward more effectively than has been possible for quite a while thanks to Mars retrograde from March through May and then Mercury throwing it in reverse a few weeks later.  I don't know about you, but I've felt as if I've been stuck in the mud for quite a while and hope things pickup. 

Your sign ruler, Venus, is in Gemini with Mercury for roughly half of this month which will bring their energy to your 2nd house of income, possessions, finances, needs, comforts and pleasures.  Venus is trining Mars in Libra, your 6th house of work, health, service and pets which suggests taking action there in a way that will benefit your 2nd house.  The chance to pursue a fairly substantial money making idea is a possibility but it's going to take quite a bit of effort on your part to make a go of it.  It will be up to you to decide whether or not it's worth it. 

Uranus has been hanging out in your 12th house for a while now with quite a stretch remaining which implies a variety of things going on behind the scenes.  This is the house of spirituality, enlightenment, inspiration, dreams, visions, confinement, your subconscious mind, seclusion, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing with Uranus the planet that relates to rebellion, surprises, flashes of brilliance or innovation, freedom and so forth and the modern ruler of your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status.  These rumblings will be strongest for those of you born right around May 7.  Uranus stations retrograde later this month in the same degree and is currently locked into a quincunx with Saturn, almost like a relay of sorts since Saturn goes direct on July 21 and Uranus stations RX July 22.  Whether stationing direct or retrograde, an outer planet will remain in the same degree for quite a while, injecting a whole lot of energy into any planets you have at that degree.  Let's just say, they'll be at 16 degrees of their respective signs until the 2nd week of August when Saturn finally moves to 17 degrees so if that aspect is hitting your chart it's going to last for a while.  Saturn typically relates to responsibilities, obligations, structure, discipline, wisdom and conservatism, essentially the antithesis of Uranus' rebellious streak. 

Saturn is in Scorpio, your polar sign and 7th house of relationships including your significant other, close friends and relative, business partners, clients, business professionals, competitors and open enemies.  A quincunx typically indicates a change of direction, adjustment or need to justify your position.  Uranus is in your 12th which includes your subconscious mind and while Saturn is retrograde he tends to operate in that venue as well.  When he goes direct, whatever issue was at hand usually surfaces so it looks like you'll figure out something that involves a relationship about the time Uranus' energies gets internalized.  See what's going on with the people close to you at this time for clues on how this is playing out.  Your internal rebel may be pushing against someone to the point something has to change.

The New Moon on July 26 is in fellow Fixed Sign, Leo, your 4th house of home environment, memories, cultural roots, endings and new beginnings and of course a New Moon often indicates something new coming into your life.  Jupiter is in there, too, exaggerating the effects of the lunation with all three of them squaring Mars who has finally gotten out of Libra, sign of his debility, where he's been stuck for far too long to suit him.  Now that he's in Scorpio, of which he's the traditional ruler, he is raring to go but what this looks like is whatever is going on in your 4th house is going to conflict with something one of those 7th house people in your life wants.  Mars in the 7th can be a strong competitor, could bring arguments and all sorts of action. 

By this time Venus and Mercury have moved into Cancer, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel which could assist with finding answers or solutions to the various challenges coming your way.  Venus is opposite Pluto in Capricorn, your 9th house of beliefs and such, which suggests working through or letting go of some old beliefs based on new information which could be facilitated by inspiration from a friend or group.  As a Fixed Sign you don't like change and don't yield to it easily but be aware that sometimes you're cutting off your nose to spite your face and would do well to practice some objectivity and listen to what your inner voice is trying to tell you.
