Lunations and Long-term Aspects

This month the Full Moon occurs in fellow Cardinal Sign, Capricorn, your 4th house of home environment, memories, cultural roots, endings and new beginnings.  This type of lunation typically denotes and ending, culmination or shift to a new phase which in this particular house can apply to most anything.  If your birthday is right around October 14 this lunation creates an aspect pattern known as T-square with your natal Sun at the apex which suggests you could be experiencing an important time.  The Sun is in Cancer, your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status which brings this part of your life into the forefront as well.  A conflict or need for balance between these two important parts of life is likely.

Pluto has been transiting your 4th house for quite a while now.  If your birthday is right around October 6 he is currently squaring your natal Sun which is often a somewhat difficult transit.  Since Pluto is retrograde, he has been in this degree before, back in the end of January and throughout February, so think back to what was going on at that time for anything that may have been left unfinished or unresolved at that time and swept under the proverbial rug.  Since this is your 4th house which includes memories, there's a target rich environment for something lurking there just waiting to be uncovered and dealt with.  Librans don't like confrontations as a rule and are more inclined to ignore things that might turn ugly.  You try to be fair and see both sides but you often cannot do yourself the same favor.  Standing up for yourself is not always easy so when you are hurt or taken advantage of you tend to let it go.  This is the kind of stuff that will fester, however, and ultimately cause problems of one kind or another, sometimes even illness.  Use this cosmic energy to help expose and eliminate anything that you know fits this description.

Mars is in your sign and conjunct your natal Sun if your birthday is right around October 17.  This can give you some extra motivation to take care of business, whatever that may be.  Your sign ruler, Venus, is trining Mars from logical Gemini, a fellow Air Sign and your 9th house of beliefs and expectations, philosophy of life, higher learning, long-distance travel, relocation, legal matters, religion and politics.  This suggests that your belief system will drive your actions.  Mercury is in Gemini as well, sign of his dignity as its ruler, which can further bring logic and information to bear as needed and in a big way, given he is semisextile Jupiter, indicating it may take some effort or start out as an annoyance but with some effort you can possibly hit the proverbial jackpot.

Saturn, the planet that is Libra's exalted ruler, is in nextdoor neighboring sign, Scorpio, your 2nd house of income, possessions, needs, comforts and pleasures.  He has been retrograde since March which is a time when he operates at the subconscious level with regard to something that needs to be restructured or rebuilt.  Now that he's about to go direct on July 21 whatever this happens to be will start to surface, if it hasn't already. If your birthday is right around October 10 this is semisextile your natal Sun with this aspect one that typically brings an annoyance or irritation but often does come with a silver lining if you put some thought and effort behind it.  The caveat with this, however, is that Saturn is locked into a quincunx with Uranus which will influence Saturn's response and will remain that way until roughly the end of August making this a long-term aspect that will infuse a whole bunch of energy into that particular degree.  A quincunx is an unstable aspect that usually indicates the need for a change of course, adjustment, the need to justify your position or sometimes a Catch-22. 

Uranus is in Aries, your polar sign and 7th house of relationships which include your significant other, business partners, business professionals, clients, close friends and relatives, competitors and open enemies.  Uranus is all about disturbances, disruptions, the unexpected, surprises, freedom, rebellion, anything unique or unconventional, and breaking free.  Uranus went into this sign to stay in March 2011 and has been thus stirring things up in that department since then, especially as he opposes your natal Sun.  Right now that's you folks born around the 10th. One possible situation that comes to mind is that you're trying to rebuild your financial stability in some way but unexpected situations keep coming up from those in the 7th house that create problems.  You may have a spendthrift spouse or a business partner who won't cooperate or a competitor who's generally kicking your butt.  Perhaps you need to break away from this person (Uranus) or lay down new rules and boundaries (Saturn's domain).  In either case, a change is required.

The New Moon on July 26 is in Leo, your 11th house of friends, goals, groups, organizations, networking, hopes and wishes suggesting something new coming your way in this part of your life.  Of course this could well be the goal to fix that situation insinuated by Saturn and Uranus.  Jupiter only a degree and a half away from the lunation will inflate its effect but there is a bit of a complication.  By this time Mars has happily gone into Scorpio and as its traditional ruler is now good to go after being stuck in your sign, sign of his debility, for way too long to suit him due to that retrograde gig earlier this year.  Mars in your 2nd house can help you take action but it can also bring difficulties such as household appliances or cars breaking down.  The square between Mars and the lunation trio indicates various complications and conflicts with going after those goals.  For example, you finally decide you're going to start a savings plan and your air conditioner or car transmission goes out necessitating expensive repairs or a replacement.  This brings us back to Saturn and Uranus and the implications that this is going to be a long, drawn-out process.

Mercury and Venus in your 10th house of career imply good luck and communications in that part of your life.  Now is a time to ask for that raise or promotion and an excellent time to speak your mind, make presentations, and so forth.  Exploit that to the max since both planets move rather quickly so won't be there forever.
