Lunations and Long-term Aspects

This month the Full Moon is on July 12 in your polar sign, Capricorn, which comprises your 7th house of relationships, including your significant other, close friends and relatives, business partners, business professionals, clients, competitors and open enemies.  If your birthday is right around July 13 this lunation opposes your natal Sun and will thus have a stronger effect.  The lunation also forms a sloppy Grand Cross with Uranus and Mars which may stir things up around you but unless you have planets in those degrees you won't feel the full force.  However, if your birthday is right around July 16 Mars is squaring your Sun from your 4th house which could bring some challenging activity your way on the home front.  The 4th includes not only your home environment but also memories, cultural roots, endings and new beginnings so any of those items could be active as well.  The good news is that Venus is trining him from your 12th which could bring some inspiration to help deal with it.

If your birthday is right around July 9 then Uranus is squaring your Sun from your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status, which will cause various disruptions and surprises in that venue.  This is further exacerbated by a partile (same degree) quincunx with Saturn, who stations direct on July 21.  If that's your birthday the station will be part of your solar return which could bring some major restructuring efforts your way for the entire year.  But back to the quincunx with Uranus.  These two planets are about as antithetical as you can get.  Uranus is about freedom, rebellion, innovation, breakthroughs, technology and disturbances while Saturn is about structure, stability, wisdom, conventionality, discipline and responsibility.  A quincunx is an unstable aspect also known as an inconjunct that begs for a change of course, adjustment, requires that you justify your position or in some cases presents a Catch-22.  They tend to be difficult to predict which is also the case for Uranus, who is in your house of career. Saturn is in your 5th house which includes creativity, children, romance, ego definition, entertainment and speculation.  Saturn is just coming out of retrograde on July 21.  While retrograde, which has been the case since March, Saturn typically operates on the subconscious level, stirring things up with regard to something that needs to be restructured or rebuilt.  When he goes direct you usually discover what this is unless you happen to have figured it out prior to that.  Look to your 5th house for ideas what it may be and hold that thought.

It gets interesting in that Uranus stations retrograde the next day on July 22, like a cosmic relay race of sorts.  If your birthday is that day, then heads-up, the station will be with you all year along with this aspect.  Stations pack a big punch since the planet is in the same position for an extended amount of time, increasing its energy input.  If your birthday is July 9 this will be even stronger.  Upsets, a hectic pace, and disturbances galore are likely in your 10th house as described above.  Saturn will be at work, too.  Even if it's not your birthday, this aspect will be in effect for a long time, until approximately the end of August or longer since both are slow moving outer planets which are slowed down even further by stationing.  If you have another planet at 16 degrees you're going to feel it and probably will anyway.  The good news for you born on the 9th is that Saturn trines your natal Sun even though Uranus squares it.  This looks like some restructuring of your 5th house of creativity and such which will be favorable and could constitute reinventing yourself at some level and will ultimately result in a change of course as far as your career, status or reputation in concerned.  In other words, expect some personal growth that is going to result in people seeing you differently than they did before. 

The New Moon on July 26 is in nextdoor neighboring sign, Leo, your 2nd house of income, possessions, finances, needs, comforts and pleasures.  A New Moon typically brings, as your would expect, something new.  Jupiter is conjunct the lunation which will service to inflate its effects.  The lunation is also connected with Mars who has just entered fellow Water Sign, Scorpio, your 5th house where Saturn is.  Mars is much happier in Scorpio, which he used to rule, than Libra, where he's in debility.  He'll be ready to take action with a vengeance now after spending far longer than he cared for in Libra due to being retrograde in that sign as well earlier this year.  This suggests a force of will in action, that you will pursue what you want regardless of the challenge it presents.  If your birthday is around June 22 then this impetus will be even stronger. 

Mercury and Venus have moved into your sign by this time which are both favorable as well.  Venus in your 1st house can actually make you more attractive physically and others will be more receptive to you.  Mercury as ruler of communications will enhance that so this is a great time to go after what you want and collect the support you may need from others.  Venus is opposite Pluto this month so I need to point that out to those of you born right around July 3.  With Pluto opposing your natal Sun you can expect some transformational activity with regard to your close relationships.  You may find that some people who were previously close to you disappear and others come in.  Pluto is about power and control and you may encounter people who try to control you or you may become more aware of it.  This New Moon placed Venus in a position to at least help you with that for a few days.  Meanwhile, expect to see relationships change during this transit which lasts for quite a while.
