Since there were three lunations in January, this month there is only one, a Full Moon, on, you guessed it, Valentines' Day. This is due to the fact February only has 28 days (except for Leap Years, of course) thanks to some of them being stolen by sundry Roman emperors and the like. Valentines' Day. Seriously. No telling what that will do! Pretty cool, actually, given that a Full Moon, besides bringing out vampires and werewolves, is typically an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase. Hopefully it will be a favorable one for you.

First let's take a look at Mercury stationing retrograde on February 6. This occurs in Pisces, your 2nd house of finances, possessions, income, needs, comforts and pleasures as well as what you value. Of course that last item has been something that Venus retrograde has been promoting for the past month or so. If your birthday is right around that day it will have a more powerful effect and any of you born between February 6 - 27 will have it in your solar return, meaning it will be with you for the entire year. This is not necessarily a bad thing. I had Mercury RX in mine a year or so ago and it was very useful for finishing up old unfinished projects. Starting new ones, however, wasn't even on the radar. The Sun, Moon and Saturn are configured into a T-square, bringing some tension. It's likely that you'll have activities going on at home that need to be balanced with career or status responsibilities. Help can be drawn from your subconscious by tuning into your intuition.

Venus spent her retrograde period in Capricorn, your 12th house of such things including spirituality, enlightenment, seclusion, confinement, inspiration, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing so look to that part of your life for a change of some description or lesson learned. If you've been neglecting this part of your life perhaps you came to realize or will soon that in order to maintain balance in your life as a whole some attention needs to be directed there on a regular basis. As they say, man does not live by bread alone. As we all know pizza, fajitas, Chinese take-out, and various other items including lots of fresh veggies are important as well. :-D

Looking at the Full Moon, taking action on your beliefs is likely to be an important element with regard to whatever Mercury is trying to tell you. By this time Mercury has backed up enough to return to your sign where he'll spend the remainder of this retrograde period. Those of you born between February 7 - 18 will have him conjunct your natal Sun at some point between now and the end of February which will make this energy person in some way. Responsibilities, particularly those of a public nature or involving your career should be scrutinized at this time. Give some thought to what's going on at work, which of course may also relate to your career. They are not always the same as you probably know, especially if you're pursuing what you really want to do while holding down a "day job."

It could also relate to other projects you're considering. A rash of brainstorms is possible and is likely to hail from within your subconscious, not only from Venus' trek through that venue but also Pluto long duration stay. His presence is conducive to getting rid of old baggage as well as providing the potential for transformational change in this part of your life. This does not necessarily mean you'll quit your job as a dealer in Vegas and become some sort of religious recluse but it's not impossible, either. There's useful energy here, albeit with a few challenges involved, that can help you generate a variety of innovative ways to go after something you really want and need.

This lunation opposes your natal Sun if it occurs on or within a day of your birthday implying closure or a phase shift in your 7th house of relationships, which certainly ties in with it being on Valentine's Day. Career responsibilities are making an appearance again, perhaps getting in the way of a relationship such that something has to change. Maybe it simply won't work out and you'll end it, once and for all, or perhaps commit to making the changes necessary to keep both of you happy. However it works out maintain your natural optimism and recognize it as something important to your personal growth and evolution. After all, that's what life is all about.
