Lunations and Long-term Aspects

The Full Moon this month is on August 10 in your nextdoor neighbor, Aquarius, which constitutes your 12th house of spirituality, dreams, visions, imagination, enlightenment, seclusion, confinement, institutions, your subconscious mind, hidden enemies and self-defeating behaviors.  If your birthday is right around March 9th this lunation is semisextile your natal Sun which could bring about an annoyance, some form of friction or frustration.  The good news about this, however, is that it is often an opportunity in disguise, meaning that you're going to have to deal with it but if you put enough effort behind it you can turn it to your advantage.  Remember that a Full Moon typically indicates an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase.  Given that this is the house that Pisces rules in the zodiac this is an important venue for you.  Take a look at what it covers and see which of those is most relevant, then take this energy and run with it.

As you probably already know (at least I hope you do) by definition a Full Moon is when the Moon and Sun are in opposition.  Thus, the Sun is important as well and he will be in the polar sign from the Moon, in this case, Leo, which is your 6th house of work, health, service, daily activities and pets.  Typically the house the Sun is transiting will have extra importance.  Mercury is conjunct the Sun which suggests communications which will perhaps require some negotiations with your subconscious mind or some other 12th house matter.  Jupiter is in your house of work as well which can increase the volume.  Jupiter is quincunx Neptune in your 1st house and parked on your natal Sun if your birthday is right around February 25. 

Mars is involved, too, trining Neptune but squaring Jupiter.  The Red Planet is happy now that he's out of Libra, sign of his debility, and in Scorpio, a fellow Water Sign as well as the sign of his traditional rulership where he is now in dignity.  Mars is all about drive and energy and Scorpio is your 9th house of legal matters, philosophy of life, higher learning, other cultures, long-distance travel, publishing and relocation.  Scorpio is passionate and intense which will give Mars a lot of extra ooomph.  However, you may find that work, especially if there is more of it than usual, may hamper what you want to be doing.  Since Neptune is your modern ruler you probably can deal with him fairly well, but Neptune is often not very motivating.  On the other hand, with a trine between him and Mars you may have a lot of inspiration you want to act upon while that volume of work or perhaps a health issue holds you back.  Neptune can make you dreamy and lazy but chances are you want to pursue your own agenda as opposed to work.

Saturn is forming a T-square with the lunation which presents another obstacle.  Saturn is also in Scorpio just upstream from Mars and he relates to responsibility, wisdom, structure and conservatism.  This does not bode very well for pursuing your dreams at this time.  There is also the matter of Saturn's long-term quincunx with Uranus which you can read more about in this blog. Uranus is in Aries, your other neighbor, and 2nd house of income, possessions, finances, needs, comforts, and pleasures.  Aries is inclined to be impulsive and Uranus is often spontaneous so this is not a very good combination in your house of money.  Pisces tend to be a bit financially challenged as it is and impulsive spending certainly isn't in your favor.  On the positive side, however, Uranus also representing breakthroughs and freedom as well as brilliant ideas.  His position mitigates the Full Moon and suggests some innovative approach can help plus even bring about a slightly different course related to those looming responsibilities.

The New Moon on August 25 occurs in your polar sign, Virgo, your 7th house of relationships including your significant other, business partners and professionals, cliental, competitors and open enemies.  If your birthday is right around February 21 this lunation opposes your natal Sun which gives it more significance.  By this time Mars has caught up with Saturn and is in the same degree, making this a rather strong conjunction.  If your birthday is right around March 8 this could bring a lot of ambition your way to rebuild something.  It is further strengthened by a partile sextile with Mercury and a quincunx to Uranus, forming a yod, a.k.a. finger of god.  These aspects tend to have a fated flavor to them.  News or communications related to work is likely to provide an opportunity to take off more in the direction you want and perhaps bring the breakthrough for your financial situation you've been looking for.  Creativity is involved as well which is being helped along by Venus but this is definitely going to take some effort on your part.  Maintain a positive attitude, visualize what you want in detail and then put one foot in front of the other to move in that direction.
