This month is a very active one but for different reasons that it was in March.  The big news for April is the Cardinal Grand Cross moving into place that has the potential to stir things up a bit, especially since it's being reinforced by Pluto stationing as well as being sandwiched between two eclipses as all four planets involved move into 13 degrees of their respective signs.  But first, note that on April 8 Mars retrograde opposes the Sun, an important part of the Mars retrograde cycle. If you've been feeling unmotivated and somewhat overcome by inertia lately that is probably the reason since it's Mars that gives us drive and energy.  While retrograde the usual message is to back up, go back and redo something.  It can also point out if you're heading down a blind alley, which can ultimately save you time and energy much like discovering you're on the wrong road.  Mars is currently in Libra, sign of his debility where he already doesn't function at top efficiency.  This is your 6th house of work, health, service, daily activities and pets so that is the first place to look for something that fits that description.  It could also involve one or more relationships at work or perhaps something lurking in your subconscious that's holding you back or trying to tell you something.  If this resonates be sure to take some time to consider what it might be around this time.

On April 14 Pluto stations retrograde in fellow Earth Sign, Capricorn.  This happens every year and is usually not that big of a deal unless the station occurs aspecting one of your planets in which case it can be a big deal for you.  If you know anyone born right around January 4 they can probably tell you more than you ever wanted to know about it, assuming they even want to talk about it, which they might not.  If your birthday is right around May 4 then this station trines your natal Sun from your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, philosophy of life, religion, politics, other cultures, long-distance travel and relocation.  This could prompt deep consideration regarding something in this part of your life.  Pluto in that venue is already working at transforming one or more things that reside in that house and this could bring it to you attention.  Beliefs and such evolve from the information that comes in through your 3rd house of thoughts and ideas. 

Of course there are times when the information isn't accurate or with maturity and experience you discover that it no longer applies to you.  Thus, Pluto may be trying to tell you that it's time to do some remodeling in this part of your life.  As a Fixed Sign you don't change your mind easily, if at all, and quite frankly you Bulls have the reputation of being stubborn to the point of cutting off your nose to spite your face, if you'll pardon the old cliche.  However, conducting a careful internal audit to determine if what you're toting around in your head is still valid or in your best interest never hurts and is more comfortable than having your nose rubbed in it at some future date.  So take advantage of these energies to do so in the quiet privacy of your own mind and get rid of anything that no longer fits.

When a planet stations it dumps a lot of energy into that degree, especially for slow moving planets like Pluto.  He has been at 13 degrees since February 26 and will be there until June 4 when he eventually backs into 12 degrees.  This is relevant on a broader level than usual because Pluto is part of the Cardinal Grand Cross starting to take form at that time that also includes Uranus, Jupiter and Mars.  I've already told you what Pluto is up to as far as Taureans are concerned so keep that in mind because it is likely to come into conflict with these others planets and their respective spheres of influence.  Uranus is in Aries, your 12th house of spirituality, enlightenment, inspiration, dreams, visions, confinement, seclusion, institutions, your subconscious mind, hidden enemies and self-undoing.  For the station he is also conjunct Mercury, both in 13 degrees Aries, which suggests information of an unexpected or surprising nature operating at the subconscious level.  Uranus is the planetary ruler of innovation, freedom, rebellion and uniqueness as well as numerous other things such as explosions and high technology.  This transit, which will last for several years, could result in some seriously weird dreams.  It can also be useful for releasing anything in your subconscious that needs to go, perhaps self-defeating behaviors that have been holding you back from attaining your dreams and aspirations.  It really isn't too much of a stretch to see how this could tie in with your beliefs and any that are inaccurate, yet they could be where the log jam lies.  The time is likely here to confront it.

Jupiter is in Cancer, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel.  He's exalted in that sign where he can function at full capacity.  Jupiter is often looked upon as lucky or a benefic planet but in my experience he is neutral and simply magnifies or increases what he touches so if he's aspecting a "nice" planet like Venus the results will be good but if it's one of the malefics like the ones involved in this Grand Cross, then the results are possibly blown out of proportion or inflated in a bad way.  For example, Jupiter is usually involved in massive storms or other unfortunate events on a larger scale than normal.  If your birthday is right around May 4 Jupiter is sextile your natal Sun which is quite favorable for expanding your thoughts and ideas and thus priming you to make some changes in your beliefs.  As you can probably tell, so far this Grand Cross doesn't necessarily have a negative effect on you as compared to Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn).  Whatever events it triggers externally could very likely benefit you since opportunity always accompanies chaos.  Or you can at least always hope.  So if Jupiter is making you more open minded, that can be a good thing.

So now consider all those things together, i.e., Mars retrograde in your house of work, Pluto messing with your belief system, Uranus setting off firecrackers in your subconscious and Jupiter expanding your mind and how they may clash with one another to a certain degree, yet still be of benefit to you.  Your sign ruler, Venus, is in Pisces, sign of her exaltation, and she's trining Jupiter which will expand her benefit.  She's in your 11th house of friends, groups, organizations, networking, goals, hopes and wishes so that definitely has implications that whatever else is going on can be a good thing, perhaps opening up new avenues for you in that area.

On April 15, seven hours and fifty-five minutes after Pluto stations, there is a Lunar Eclipse in Libra, your 6th house of work and such.  Eclipses come with a lot more staying power than the usual lunation which means that Grand Cross will also be at Extended Stay America as opposed to the Holiday Inn.  So if you don't see anything that resembles anything noted here during April that doesn't mean that it won't show up later.  Note also that Saturn is in Scorpio, your 7th house of close relationships which includes your significant other, close friends and relatives, business partners, business professionals, competitors and open enemies and she is opposing your Sun if your birthday is right around May 11 - 13.  Saturn is retrograde which is a time when she nudges you to do some restructuring and rebuilding, so give that some thought as well.

All four planets involved in the Grand Cross reach 13 degrees of their respective signs on April 22.  This could be when you see some fireworks in the news but given Pluto's station and the eclipse it wouldn't be too surprising if it showed up later.  Just a note what astrologers are pondering through all this on the mundane scene and that's the fact that the natal Sun of the USA is 13 degrees Cancer and thus conjunct Jupiter while the natal Sun of Vladimir Putin is 13 degrees Libra and conjunct Mars retrograde.  Thus it's very possible that this astrological energy will stir things up with that situation. 

On April 29 there's a solar eclipse that will be visible in parts of central Australia, down through Melbourne, out into the ocean and across the tip of Antarctica and then back into the ocean.  This occurs in your sign and is on your natal Sun if your birthday is within a day of that date, which also means that it will follow you throughout the year as part of your solar return, making it a very important year.  While the Grand Cross is still in effect, there are various favorable aspects as well, including a trine to Pluto from the eclipse as well as Mercury which will facilitate housecleaning with your beliefs or any other 9th house matter active at this time.  Inspiration from friends is likely which will further tie into your seeing things differently as you open up your mind to new ideas and concepts.  A change of direction at work is highly likely going to evolve from all this.  Venus is also helping with that relationship issue, perhaps through a friend or associate or possibly rebuilding a relationship will facilitate pursuing a new or existing goal.
