Lunations and Long-Term Aspects This month's New Moon is on October 15th in fellow Cardinal Sign, Libra, your 4th house of home environment, cultural roots, memories, endings and new beginnings. The 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th are all angular houses which represent important areas of you life and since Cancer rules the 4th house zodiacally it is even more important for you. Be on the lookout for something new in this part of your life. If your birthday is right around July 15 this lunation will square your natal Sun and thus have a stronger effect. Nonetheless, this is a relatively friendly New Moon. The ongoing square between Uranus and Pluto is still in effect, as described in an earlier horoscope. If your birthday is right around June 29 Pluto is opposing your Sun and you are likely to be seeing some significant effects from that. If your birthday is right around June 27th then Uranus is squaring your Sun and that is probably stirring things up as far as your career, status and public image is concerned. Jupiter in Gemini and Venus in Virgo are squared off for this lunation which is somewhat difficult to read. Jupiter is in debility and Venus in fall so neither planet can operate to full efficiency in its current sign. Normally these two are benefic planets but they will be less so where they are though they are not going to be horrible, just less effective. Jupiter in Gemini can get carried away with grandiose plans which can be too much of a good thing. Gemini is your 12th house of spirituality, enlightenment, inspiration, dreams, confinement, seclusion, institutions, transcendence, hidden enemies and self-undoing, a.k.a. the house of angels and demons. Jupiter's expansive effects there may bring a barrage of dreams or perhaps draw you to esoteric subjects. Venus in your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors, and local travel bring a generally nice effect except in the critical, detail-oriented sign of Virgo this is dampened. Nonetheless, this isn't a particularly unfortunate square. Worst case may be problems with a neighbor or sibling, probably a woman, who may be up to something behind your back. Mercury, however, is in fellow Water Sign Scorpio helping things out a bit. This natural ruler of thoughts and communications in your 5th house of ego definition, children, romance, entertainment and speculation can provide the discernment and intuitive sense you need to sort through whatever comes about. Mars is trining Uranus which is likely to stir things up on the job. Mars implies a lot of action and Uranus is all about surprises, disruptions, disturbances and unexpected events which are most likely to relate to your 10th house of career, reputation and status. A trine is usually harmonious, but since these two planets can be troublesome it can sometimes simply mean that the two are in cahoots with one another with the result not particularly pleasant. This is not a given yet a possibility to bear in mind in case this turns out to be something that creates an unpleasant storm. Saturn is trining Neptune, also in Water Signs, and will form a Grand Water Trine for those of you born right around the Summer Solstice. These two planets are quite antithetical yet may be able to work together in this capacity to manifest something such as a creative endeavor that connects with something like an inspired belief or even the trip of your dreams. Neptune in your 9th of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, foreign travel, relocation, religion and politics can bring a lot of inspiration as long as you maintain some grip on reality since Neptune can also be idealistic or delusional. Saturn does a good job of adding structure, discipline and reality so this could be a very good combination of different energies. The Full Moon on October 29 is in Taurus, your 11th house of friends, groups, networking and goals. A Full Moon usually brings an ending, culmination, or shift to a new phase so watch for such a change related to that part of your life. It could be the completion of an important goal, a friend moving away or related to a group endeavor. This lunation isn't quite as friendly as the New Moon but it's not necessarily bad, either. If your birthday is right around June 28 your natal Sun forms an aspect pattern known as a Triangle of Potential with the Sun/Moon combo and may indicate an opportunity for you to shine within a group, amongst your friends or with respect to a goal. Venus and Mercury are sextile with Venus now in dignity in Libra, which she rules, and Mercury in Sagittarius, where he's debilitated and tends to bounce all around with too many ideas. A sextile usually denotes an opportunity, however, so this could indicate a new job or project. Neptune is tied in as well, which may add too much inspiration, but Venus is in a position to soften that in some way. It's also possible that Venus represents a woman in your household who can give you some good ideas how to deal with the situation. The Sun is somewhat mitigating that Uranus - Pluto square which, among other things, hints that you may be able to help calm things down in a relationship issue that may be set off. Jupiter and Mars are opposing each other which is a call for balance. Mars is in your 6th house of work implying lots of activity and Jupiter in the 12th is vying for peace and meditation, more or less. Thus, finding an appropriate balance between them is important and may be easier said than done. |
