Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon this month on the 13th is also a solar eclipse which will be visible in parts of northeast Australia and the South Pacific and thus a lunation on steroids given their energy will be stronger and longer-lasting. It occurs in your polar sign, Scorpio, your 7th house of close relationships including your significant other, business partners, business professionals, close friends and relatives as well as competitors. If your birthday is right around May 12 it will oppose your natal Sun and thus have even more influence on something in this part of your life. This eclipse has three unaspected planets which means they can function as wildcards in representing their unrestricted energy in their respective environments. The first one is Jupiter in debility in Gemini where he can generate TMI or too much information. Gemini is your 2nd house of income, possessions, needs and pleasures. Jupiter is also retrograde which often digs up ethics issues of some sort, so see if this fits anything going on currently in your life. The next is your sign ruler, Venus, in dignity in Libra, the other sign she rules besides yours. Libra is your 6th house of work, service, health and pets which could bring some pleasant matters your way in this part of your life. However, unaspected planets are sometimes unpredictable in that they can operate at the subconscious level. Using them to take action is not always easily accomplished. Sometimes all they succeed in doing is generating restlessness with no viable plan. Last but far from least is Mars in Sagittarius, your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and rebirth, debt and shared resources. Mars in the 8th is a placement that always bears a bit of caution because it can sometimes predispose you to accidents. If your birthday is right around May 18th be particularly careful about not taking any unnecessary chances. You may also be inclined to go off in an entirely different, life-changing direction, perhaps leaving something behind without having a clue where you're going from here. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but does deserve some careful consideration. If you've been working at developing a relationship to meet something you've wanted for a long time, this is still favored but it may require a change at a deep level that could require enlightenment or inspiration to identify. Uranus, planet of the unexpected, is in Aries, your 12th house of spirituality, dreams, confinement, seclusion, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing and tied into this matter in some way suggesting a change of direction so give this serious thought and meditation. Mercury stations retrograde on November 6th, election day in the USA, which is likely to have an interesting effect. The last time that happened was in the 2000 election between George Bush Sr. and Al Gore. No telling how things will turn out this time but I'm going to predict that it will be a major fiasco. Remember the usual rules for Mercury RX and refrain from buying anything electronic or mechanical until at least a few days after November 25 and preferably after the shadow period ends December 15. If this is unavoidable, be sure to keep your receipt and give that extended warranty serious consideration. The Lunar Eclipse/Full Moon on November 28 is in Gemini, your 2nd house of income and possessions as defined above. The Moon is in wide but viable conjunction with the Moon which is likely to inflate the emotional effects which are already stronger for an eclipse than a garden-variety lunation. This one has two unaspected planets, Mercury and Neptune. Mercury at this time has just come out of retrograde but being unaspected may lend some confusion with regard to relationships, especially if your birthday is right around May 9th. Neptune is in dignity in Pisces, the sign he rules and where he is in planetary hog heaven as far as expressing his true energy is concerned. Pisces is your 11th house of friends, organizations, groups, networking, and goals so this is likely to add a whole lot of dreamy energy to that part of your life. Of course dreamy can also mean confusion, delusions or illusions, so bear that in mind. In addition to the unaspected planets this eclipse also has two yods. A yod, a.k.a. Finger of God or perhaps Flying Fickle Finger of Fate, typically brings a certain amount of instability that denotes a change needs to be made that will probably not be easy. The two yods share several of the same planets but point in different directions. The first one has Saturn and Venus, your sign ruler, at the eye, in your polar sign, Scorpio, again hinting at relationship issues which the solar eclipse already kicked off. Those with birthdays around April 28 will probably feel these the most, by the way. The base of this yod is the Moon, under some influence from Jupiter, in your 2nd house of income and possessions, and Uranus in Aries, your 12th house of angels and demons. The second yod has the Moon at the eye, Saturn and Venus comprise part of the base with the new players in the base a partile (same degree) conjunction between Mars and Pluto in fellow Earth Sign, Capricorn, your 9th house of higher learning, long distance travel, foreign cultures, politics, religion, beliefs, expectations, legal matters and relocation. This pair has implications of power, control and directed energy which is likely to be directed toward one of those 9th house matters, relate to a relationship and have financial implications. Relationship issues clearly look like something to watch for this month in one form or another. |
