Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon this month on November 13 is also a solar eclipse which will be visible in parts of northeastern Australia and the South Pacific, so most of us are out of luck as far as seeing it. Of course eclipses pack a much bigger punch than the usual lunation plus their effects linger much longer, so given this one is in your sign, you will want to be on the lookout for how it influences you. If your birthday is within a day or so of November 13 it occurs right, smack on your natal Sun and in addition, it will be part of your solar return and thus last the entire year. So if that's you, I highly recommend you get one of our solar return reports to see what's up. This eclipse has three unaspected planets which can be wildcards across their entire archetypal spectrum. When unaspected there is no influence from other planets keeping them in line so there's no telling what they may do. Jupiter in debility in Gemini is one. Gemini is your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and rebirth, debt, shared resources and intense experiences. His is the house Scorpio rules in the zodiac so should be fairly comfortable in that respect. Jupiter in Gemini, however, is the poster child for TMI, i.e. too much information. This suggests that this may be an extremely active house for you at this time. The next one is Venus in Libra, a sign of her dignity, where she is likely to be quite a blessing. Libra is your 12th house of spirituality, enlightenment, dreams, visions, institutions, confinement, seclusion, hidden enemies and self-undoing, which I commonly call the angels and demons house. The worst case on this one could be a female stalking you or undermining you in some way but usually Venus behaves in Libra. Hopefully this will bring pleasant dreams and perhaps a few bits of enlightenment. Last but not least is your ancient ruler, Mars, in Sagittarius, your 2nd house of income, possessions, needs and pleasures. This could do everything from bringing you a bunch of repairs to a spending spree. Mercury is retrograde (more on that below) and squaring Neptune, which could bring some delusions, such as that you really need something you really don't and can afford to pay for something which you really can't. Neptune in the 5th house of ego definition, romance, children, entertainment and speculation has various other negative possibilities as well that include delusion, deception, and illusions with the link with Mercury implying that someone goes back on their word. So if, for example, you're counting on someone paying back a debt so you can afford whatever it is you want, don't bet on it, sweetie, because it's highly possible it ain't gonna happen. Capesche? Neptune is not always a negative influence, but with Mercury RX doesn't look trustworthy to say the least. Saturn is in your sign and on your natal Sun if your birthday is right around October 28. A Saturn - Sun transit can be less than enchanting so if that's you and you've been feeling tired and depressed lately it's probably the transit. Saturn has been trining Neptune, which can help manifest one of your dreams, particularly with regard to romance, children or simply enjoying yourself, which is pleasant enough, but Uranus is in there as well and looks as if he could mess things up a bit, perhaps due to something coming up at work that causes you to change your plans and have to reschedule. Mercury stations retrograde on November 6th, election day in the USA, which promises to be a complete fiasco with this aspect as it was in 2000 in the race between Daddy Bush and Al Gore. Mark my words on that one, things will be a mess which lingers for some time, possibly until the retrograde period is over on December 15. Remember the usual advice to not buy anything electronic or mechanical during this time, preferably after December 15 but no sooner than a few days after November 25. This, of course, is not good news for holiday shopping, unless you want to stick to clothes and food as gifts, which shouldn't be affected, though you never know. Someone could have put 2 cups of salt instead of sugar in those cookies or used defective thread in that shirt. Be sure to save your receipts and consider that extended warranty for big ticket items. The Full Moon on November 28 is a lunar eclipse, giving it additional punch as well. It has two unaspected planets worth looking at, Mercury and Neptune. Mercury at this time is barely out of retrograde and lurking in your sign where he may be stirring up a lot of mental activity on a personal level. As ruler of your 11th house of goals and 8th of transformations, they may have those flavors as well. Neptune is afloat in Pisces, sign of his dignity and rulership and a fellow Water sign. This is your 5th house of ego definition, children and romance as noted above so a lot of dreaminess is possible there as well. If nothing else you may not have any ambition whatsoever with regard to that part of your life. Given the 5th is also the house of entertainment and partying and Neptune rules adult beverages, well you get the drift. Do so with caution, however, with a definite designated driver given Mercury's condition as ruler of movement. This eclipse contains two yods, an aspect pattern that tends to produce some degree of instability. The first one has Saturn and Venus at the eye, both in your sign, and on your natal Sun if your birthday is right around October 31, implying this eclipse will have even more impact for you. The most basic delineation of these two planets together is responsibility with regard to relationships or money, so, as they say, if the shoe fits, wear it. The base comprises the Moon, which is close enough to Jupiter to receive some inflation of the emotional effects, and Uranus, planet of the unexpected in Aries, your 6th house of work. In its best possible manifestation this could bring an unexpected windfall, but don't count on that and go off on that spending spree. It could have the opposite effect as well, given that, as noted earlier, these are unstable and therefore unpredictable. The second yod shares many of the same planets except for this one that inflated Moon is at the eye, suggesting a significant happening related to your 8th house, with half of the base Saturn and Venus as defined earlier and in your sign with the newcomers your modern and traditional sign rulers, Pluto and Mars, respectively, who are in Capricorn, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel. These two planets together definitely point toward directed power and control. The worst possible manifestation of this could be a wreck, so bear that in mind and drive carefully plus remember what I said earlier about Mercury and Neptune. In a happier sense it could be taking control and action of an idea that will be very beneficial and could also result in a windfall. However, don't forget that there's any number of possibilities with no promise how it will turn out for you, only that whatever happens of significance for you, not only this month but in the months to come, will involve the stated houses and all the various things they contains, mixed and matched specifically for you as they operate within your chart. |
