Long-term Aspects and Lunations The New Moon on November 13 is also a solar eclipse which will be visible in parts of northeast Australia and the South Pacific. Eclipses are lunations on steroids that have a much more powerful astrological effect and can last much longer, having activated the degree in which they occur to be more sensitive to subsequent transits. A good book on eclipses is "The Predictive Power of Eclipse Paths" by Bill Meridian and of course "Predictive Astrology" by Bernadette Brady, who says that this particular family of eclipses has a friendly, relationship energy. Speaking of books, which I suspect you love as much as I do given I have a Sag Mercury, "The Yod Book" by Karen Hamaker-Zondag is also excellent and I recommend it highly if you have a yod or unaspected planet in your birth chart. Unaspected planets tend to be wildcards since they're free to do their own thing in their respective sign environment without the influence of other planets. This eclipse has three of them worth considering, especially since one of them is your sign ruler, Jupiter. Jupiter is in debility in your polar sign, Gemini, where the best way to describe it is TMI, or too much information, where his expansive nature in a data-loving sign can get rather excessive. This is your 7th house of relationships which includes your significant other, close friends and relatives, business partners and professionals, and competitors so this suggests perhaps too much activity with these folks or you may find them to be a bit hyper, over-confident or enthusiastic, any of which taken to extremes can be annoying. Venus dignified in Libra is also unaspected in your 11th house of friends, groups, organizations, networking and goals. This could have a very favorable effect, helping you find the people you need to assist you in going after something you want, i.e. a goal. Venus is seldom a bad influence except possibly when she's retrograde or in cahoots with one of the malefics, though a square with Jupiter can definitely bring extremes of confidence that can get you in trouble. At any rate, this should be a favorable time for socializing, but make sure that unaspected Jupiter misbehaving doesn't apply to you such that you annoy others and they refuse to have anything to do with you much less help. If you find people walking away you might give that some thought. Last but far from least is Mars in your sign. If your birthday is right around December 19 he is sitting on your natal Sun so be warned. Talk about hyper, this energy could have you going in so many directions at once you hardly know which way is up. Conversely, given that unaspected planets can demonstrate the entire spectrum of their archetypal energies from one extreme to the other, you may be unmotivated and not even know which way to turn. If you should fall under the influence of both Mars and Jupiter people will either love or hate you so simply be aware what is out there and observe how others react to you for clues because these influences can be subtle and be outside your conscious awareness. In fact, you may not even do anything other than smile and the person could react to you in a, shall we say, interesting manner. Saturn has entered your 12th house of dreams, visions, enlightenment, the collective consciousness, institutions, confinement, seclusion, hidden enemies and self-undoing which is also where this eclipse occurs. Mercury is also retrograde in your sign, which I'll get to shortly. Saturn has been trining Neptune for a while which is an excellent aspect for manifesting your dreams, especially now that Saturn is in that house. Neptune is in dignity in Pisces making him very powerful with Pisces your 4th house of home environment, cultural roots, memories and new beginnings/endings. This makes it an excellent time to go after your dreams! However, Neptune and Mercury RX are squared off so be careful of delusions, idealism or simply being unrealistic. Uranus is involved as well in fellow Fire Sign, Aries, your 5th house of ego definition, children, romance, entertainment and speculation. Uranus can be explosive and bring about rapid change which can go either way, so just make sure you don't do something entirely self-defeating, another possibility with 12th house activity. Mercury stations retrograde on November 6, which is election day in the USA. This is nearly guaranteed to cause a real fiasco like the same influence did back in 2000 when Daddy Bush and Owl Gore ran. So brace yourself for quite an exciting time which is bound to bring a few surprises. Mercury stations retrograde at 4:14 Sagittarius so if your birthday is right around November 26 this occurs on your natal Sun and probably has a personal message for you as far as rethinking, redoing, editing, or re-something. The usual advice applies to avoid purchasing anything electronic or mechanical at that time. He goes direct November 25 with the shadow period lasting until December 15, which definitely isn't good news for holiday shoppers. Try at least to wait until a few days after he stations direct and in any event keep your receipts and if it's a big ticket item consider that extended warranty. I would definitely not buy a car during this time; rent one, if necessary. The Full Moon on November 28 is a lunar eclipse; typically eclipses come in pairs and this is no exception. If your birthday is right around November 28 this one has your name on it so listen up. Again we have two unaspected planets, Mercury and Neptune, which were squared off for the Solar Eclipse. Now they are wildcards so be aware. Mercury is in Scorpio, your aforementioned 12th house of angels and demons which could bring some interest insights or inspiration, particularly if you're reworking something. Neptune can contribute inspiration as well but again it could be out in deep space somewhere as far as reality is concerned. Just sayin'. There are two yods with this eclipse as well which can also be destabilizing as they represent a lot of energies forced upon each other in a less than compatible way. One involves Saturn and Venus at the eye in Scorpio, bringing your 12th into play again. Usually these two planets in tandem represents something like responsibility with regard to love or money. The Moon is at the base with Jupiter, your sign ruler, close enough to have an expansive influence with both in your 7th house of relationships. The other side of the base is Uranus in your 5th of ego. Depending what your relationships look like these days you should be able to find this one at work. The second yod shares some of the same planets with the other but this one has the Moon at the eye. The base has the Saturn - Venus combo on one side and a partile conjunction between Mars and Pluto at the other in Capricorn, your 2nd house of income, possessions, needs and pleasures. Needless to say Pluto and Mars teamed up like that bear serious watching. Their basic energy is direction action toward power and control and if you're not using it then it could very easily use you, which you probably won't like, especially with it tied into relationships and the 12th house. Jupiter is retrograde which suggests ethics issues as well. Be very conscious of your actions and their consequences, for both good and ill. Again, be aware if you don't use this energy yourself then you may attract it so definitely watch your back to make sure no one takes advantage of you in what could turn out to be an expensive lesson. |
