Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon this month on November 13 is also a solar eclipse which is visible in parts of northeastern Australia and the South Pacific. It occurs in fellow Water sign, Scorpio, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, legal matters, higher education, politics, religion, foreign cultures, long-distance travel and relocation. If your birthday is right around March 13 it will trine your natal Sun and thus make it more personal. Remember that eclipses are lunations on steroids, having significantly more ooomph as well as duration given that the degree is activated such that subsequent transits can likewise set it off. This eclipse has three unaspected planets which can be wildcards in their own right. Without being tied into other planets they are free to operate as they see fit which can cover the entire range of their archetypal energies, for good and for ill. They also often operate on a subconscious level where you may not even be aware of it. This is less likely to cause many problems and could actually come across as beneficial. This could be favorable for a new direction in this part of your life. Last but not least is Mars in Sagittarius, which will square your natal Sun if your birthday is right around March 18. Mars is much less friendly than Venus and in your 10th house of career, public image and reputation. While this could give you a burst of energy in this part of your life it could also make other perceive you as aggressive or a bit high and mighty. Having those in authority, such as your boss, on your case for no known reason is another possibility. Mercury is retrograde and squaring Neptune which is an aspect very conducive to deception, illusions or complete detachment from reality. Neptune is in you sign where he is dignified and operates very effectively, an energy that you've been feeling for several months now along with everyone else. This has many potential benefits but conversely it can bring dreaminess to the point of having no motivation, confusion and various other traits that are not favorable for life in the real world. Mercury is in Sagittarius, your aforementioned 10th house of career, which suggests you may be prone to confusion or illusions or even deception with regard to your career or status. Mercury RX is a time to rethink and redo and if your birthday is right around February 23 the station degree squares your natal Sun so will have a special message for you. During the retrograde period he will back up into Scorpio, your 9th house of beliefs and expectations, so this may be related to how you feel about your career or status in some way. Thus, it's highly likely you can expect the same this time, which is really no surprise given the campaign. The same advice as always stands for Mercury RX, to avoid buying anything electronic or mechanical during that time. He stations direct on November 25 so at least give it a few days after that and better still to wait until December 15 when the shadow period ends. This, of course, places quite a damper on holiday shopping so if you can't refrain keep the receipts and if it's a big ticket item consider that extended warranty. Whatever you do, don't buy a car but rent one if necessary. The Full Moon on November 28 is a lunar eclipse in fellow Mutable Sign, Gemini, your 4th house of home environment, endings and new beginnings as noted earlier. Jupiter is still there and close enough to the Moon to throw in some expansive effects. There are two unaspected planets for this one as well, in this case Mercury and Neptune, and whether or not this will be an improvement upon the square is open to discussion. Mercury is in fellow Water sign, Scorpio, your 9th house of beliefs and such so this should be good for gathering a variety of information with regard to this part of your life. This could be similar to free association and a bunch of disconnected thoughts or ideas but nonetheless could bring something good. Neptune in Pisces is self-explanatory in that he will be doing his thing without regard to anything else and off in Lalaland. You may thus really be in a dream world, lack concentration and motivation and even rationality, at least as far as others perception of you is concerned. Thus if they look at you as if you're flipped your cookies, that is probably why. This eclipse has two yods associated with it as well which could also be troublesome. A yod combines the energies of planets and signs in what is often a incompatible manner. The first one has a conjunction between Venus and Saturn at the eye, a combination that often points toward responsibility in relationships and in your 9th hints at your expectations and beliefs in that regard. Part of the base involves the Moon with Jupiter close enough to lend some expansive effects in your 4th house of home environment and new beginnings which will give that part an emotional thrust which may or may not be comfortable. The other half of the base involves Uranus in Aries, your 2nd house, described above. This looks as if an erratic financial situation could cause you to re-evaluate your responsibilities to relationships and/or money and necessitate a new beginning of some sort. The other yod further emphasizes this theme since it involves many of the same planets except for this one the Moon is the focus or eye. Saturn and Venus are part of its base with the addition of two new players, a partile (same degree) conjunction between Mars and Pluto in Capricorn, your 11th house of groups, friends, organizations, networking and goals. These two planets together usually express something like directed action toward achieving power and control. By the way, this will influence those of you born between February 25 - 28 more strongly than other Pisces. This could be a mixed blessing with regard to any networking, goals, or interactions with your friends. You could be perceived as pushy and a control freak OR you could attract such people. Pisces usually are inherently aggressive by nature so don't allow someone like that to victimize you in some way. Since either home or a new start seems to be emphasized along with your beliefs or some other 9th house issue, put most your focus there. Your best bet is to use that Mars - Pluto combo as impetus toward a new goal, directing your energy toward taking control of your situation in a deliberate and focused way which can help avoid that energy being sent your way by someone else. |
