Lunations and Long-Term Aspects This month's New Moon on November 13th is also a Solar Eclipse which will be visible in parts of northeast Australia and the South Pacific. As you may recall, an eclipse is a lunation on steroids, making it much more powerful and long-lasting. The effects of an eclipse can actually come before it happens or for a significant time after since it activates that particular degree which can be triggered by a subsequent transit. This one occurs in fellow Water sign, Scorpio, your 5th house of ego definition, children, romance, entertainment and speculation and if your birthday is right around July 14 is even more likely to be noticeable, probably in a favorable way. This eclipse has three unaspected planets which can operate like wildcards given they are completely on their own in their respective venues and free to act as they will, which can be anywhere along their archetypal spectrum. Jupiter is in Gemini, your 12th house of spirituality, enlightenment, inspiration, dreams, visions, hidden enemies, self-undoing, confinement, institutions, seclusion and the collective consciousness. Jupiter in debility can provide a plethora of TMI, i.e. too much information, which of course can be overwhelming and confusing at worst but invigorating through providing, in this case, an influx of inspiration that could sweep you off your feet. However, note this is the house of angels and demons so it could go either way. Venus is also unaspected but in Libra, which she rules, so she is well placed and likely to behave quite nicely. This is your 4th house of home environment, memories, cultural roots, endings and new beginnings so this could well bring something fortunate to this part of your life, which means a lot to you since Cancer is the ruler of the 4th zodiacal house. Last but far from least, Mars is unaspected in Sagittarius, your 6th house of work, service, health and pets. This could bring a variety of activities with respect to your work or perhaps career, since he rules your 10th house of career, reputation, status and public image. Mars does not always behave so there's no telling what this could bring. If you've been trying to bring something in your 5th house into manifestation you should be getting some inspiration in that regard, even if it's simply a stronger belief in its possibility. For this eclipse, however, a few adjustments may need to be made to your existing plan, perhaps due to an unexpected situation at work. Be aware that information in the workplace is likely to undergo various revisions and be inaccurate initially. Mercury goes retrograde on November 6, election day in the USA, which is likely to really make a mess of things, as it did in 2000 when this happened before, in that case in the election featuring George Bush Sr. and Al Gore. The usual Mercury RX advice hold to avoid buying anything electronic or mechanical at this time, at least until a few days after November 25 but better yet, December 15, though this obviously could impact your holiday shopping. If you absolutely can't avoid it then be sure to keep any receipts in a secure place and give seriously consideration to that extended warranty if it happens to be a major appliance. I have a refrigerator I bought a few days after Mercury went direct after living out of an ice chest for a couple weeks when the other one died. While it operates okay it sounds as if it is haunted and has minor issues like the freezer handle falling off a lot, so that's the kind of thing you could encounter. The Lunar Eclipse/Full Moon on November 28 is in your 12th house of angels and demons and close enough to Jupiter for him to inflate the effects even further. Mercury, which is just barely out of retrograde at that time, is afloat in Scorpio, i.e. unaspected, giving him free rein to do whatever he wants in your 5th house of ego, kids and such, so ideas, information and so forth may be profuse. Neptune is unaspected in Pisces, sign of his dignity, so he's likely to be partying over there in your 9th house of legal matters, higher learning, beliefs and expectations, politics, religion, long-distance travel and such. Don't be surprised if you get the sudden urge to go on a cruise, visit a foreign country or get an influx of inspiration in one of those other areas. One thing unique about this eclipse is the fact it has two yods. A yod is sometimes called a finger of God or I tend to call it a flying fickle finger of fate, reminiscent of the old "Laugh-In" show back in the 60s. Yods tend to bring a lot of unstable energy to bear because something requires attention and perhaps a change of direction. The first one has its eye on Saturn and Venus in Scorpio, your 5th house of romance, children and such as defined earlier, which in its simplest delineation looks like commitment or responsibility related to a relationship or perhaps money. The base comprises the eclipsed Moon and Uranus in Aries, your 10th house of career, public image, reputation and status. Uranus is the planet of surprises and the unexpected so there's no telling what he's up to over there. One possibility is that this could relate to how upsets in your career impact romantic interests or your children. The second yod has the Moon at the eye with its base sharing Saturn and Venus and adding new players, Pluto and Mars, in your polar sign, Capricorn, your 7th house of relationship. These two planets can pack a huge wallop that could be about directed power and control or perhaps taking action on resolving an issue from the past. Whatever it is, it's going to influence something in your 5th house of kids and romance and result in inspiration or some other matter contained in your 12th house. All in all this month's energy points toward significant events that could linger for some time. |
