Lunations and Long-term Aspects Take note that Venus goes retrograde on May 15, something she only does approximately every two years. The last time she did this was back between October - November 2010 so think back to that time and see if there is anything that reappears during this new cycle. She is in fellow Mutable sign, Gemini, your 4th house of home environment, cultural roots, memories and endings. The 4th house on a chart represents midnight and therefore metaphorical to beginning a new day. If your birthday is within a day or so of March 14 this station will square your natal Sun and therefore probably have a stronger influence. Venus rules your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel as well as your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and regeneration, debt, shared resources and intense, life-changing experiences. Pulling all these houses together could result in some major "Aha!" moments which essentially reset the clock and send you off in a new direction or at least with a new lease on life. Typically Venus RX relates to your values in some way, such as in love or money, which implies it wouldn't hurt to reexamine your priorities. Venus is also the Warrior Goddess during this time as opposed to the Love Goddess. This is when you will be more willing to fight than usual for what you want, need or believe. This is when you will don your armor and go to battle, particular with regard to your values and what you need. A long-term aspect to be aware of over the next few months is a square between Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn. Uranus is in your 2nd house of income, finances, needs, comforts, possessions and pleasures. As the planet of disruptions, disturbances, surprises, breakthroughs, freedom, rebellion and innovation this is likely to cause some potential upsets in this part of your life. This is also the house which includes your most important possessions, i.e. your body, so be particularly careful to avoid accidents and pay close attention to your health during this time. If you are not managing your stress level properly and taking care of yourself you need to do so. Pisces thrive on escaping from reality and if you're getting too much of it lately you need to figure out some sort of escape you can pursue on a regular basis to keep yourself in balance. Now obviously, I would hope, this does not involve too many adult beverages or illegal substances. Please find healthier ways whether it's fantasy novels, your favorite movies, meditation or yoga. Also be aware that you may encounter financial ups and downs during this period. Uranus by his very nature is erratic and unpredictable so be aware that this will probably be somewhat the norm for a while to come. This is not to say it will all be unfortunate, but there will be a variety of surprises. Pluto is in Capricorn, your 11th house of friends, groups, organizations and goals. Pluto's primary zodiacal function is to eliminate those things you no longer need. He is also about power trips and control, either yours or someone else's. In the long haul a Pluto transit tends to get rid of old baggage so you can move on unencumbered by the past. This may not be pleasant at the time but eventually has a healing and transformational effect. This is a time to examine this part of your life for anything or anyone who is no longer serving your needs. It is also a time to reconstruct your goals. Now since there is a square between Uranus and Pluto it's doubtful that these two planets and their areas of influence are going to be playing nicely together in the same sandbox. Obviously if there are disruptions or surprises related to your income they are going to have an effect on your goals or perhaps even your interactions with friends or other groups. It's not rocket science that if your income goes up, there will be more partying than if it goes down. Also, if perchance your energy level is compromised your group activities will also be effected. On the other hand, squares are great for getting you moving where the need in one area gives you a shove to do something about it. Thus, if your income isn't adequate and requires some major renovations, then some new goals to rectify the situation are certainly in order. So this may be a tremendous motivator which will ultimately have very positive results. The Full Moon on May 5 is in fellow Water Sign, Scorpio, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, legal matters, politics, religion, other cultures, long-distance travel, relocation, philosophy of life and so forth. Watch for a culmination, ending or shift to a new phase in this part of your life. With the Sun in Taurus, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, neighbors and siblings, there is likely to be a correspondence between these two areas. Of course it's your thoughts which ultimate coagulate into beliefs so you may be drawing some new conclusions or formulating new attitudes as one progresses to the other. Jupiter is in Taurus as well which is a fortunate and often lucky placement and will serve to expand your thoughts. Given that Jupiter rules your 10th house these are likely to relate to your career and public image in some way. There are some interesting aspect patterns associated with this lunation including a triangle of potential comprising Venus, Mercury and Saturn. Venus has not yet gone retrograde but will soon and is in the process of stationing at this time, in other words slowing down. In other words she is in her chamber contemplating her armor, so to speak. She is sextile Mercury in Aries, your 2nd house of income and such which should be quite useful for generating ideas relative to your financial situation. Saturn is in Libra, your aforementioned 8th house of transformations which is ruled by Venus and therefore under her influence with Saturn the planet you can look to for structure, discipline, responsibility and so forth. If, for example, you have been slightly less than stellar in this part of your life these planets will give you the strength you need to get it together, which is not always easy for Pisces for whom the daily hum-drum of life can be quite challenging. This can therefore be a very useful energy packet as far as motivation is concerned. Another aspect to consider involved Pluto and Uranus, the combination of which is described above, but this time connected with Mars in your polar sign, Virgo, which constitutes your 7th house of close relationships. This is where you folks born right around March 14 especially need to sit up and take notice. Mars just came out of retrograde and is still in the shadow period while he catches up to where he was in zodiacal degree before slamming it into reverse. This is the time when you formulate your plan of action which has started to surface at last with any problems Pluto and Uranus may be causing at the root of it. Given that this is your 7th house, you can look to people in this part of your life to lend a hand. Some adjustments are necessary, but if you're not happy with the status quo then this is good news. The 7th house includes your significant other, close friends and relatives, business partners, business professionals, competitors and open enemies. You should be able to link up with someone in one of those categories to start alleviating those financial woes, whatever form they may be taking. The New Moon on May 20 is also a solar eclipse, giving it additional energy as well as duration. The effects of an eclipse often don't entirely materialize for months which means you've typically forgotten all about it by the time it bears fruit. This one is also in Gemini so will definitely be in cahoots with Venus retrograde given that by this time she's doing the backstroke. This is all taking place in your 4th house which may mean your home or perhaps simply the beginning of a new cycle. Given these multiple influences the results should be quite dramatic. Jupiter and Mercury are in Taurus, your 3rd house of thoughts and ideas which will help you come up with some good ones and they are quincunx Saturn in your 8th of transformations as well as where shared resources and other people's money resides. Thus, if your grand idea requires investors, this could come in handy. One thing to keep an eye on is that your sign ruler, Pisces, which is in your sign and thus on steroids, is squaring the eclipse. Uh, oh. This definitely throws a yellow flag. This first thing I see with this is a lack of realism on your part. What, a Pisces who's not being realistic? What a shock! Now don't you go getting all upset and thinking that I don't like Pisces, because that totally isn't true. Some of my very favorite people in the known Universe are Pisces. As an often too practical and logical Cappy and truly embrace and love their view of the world. However, this square sends a definite alarm as far as keeping it within the realms of reality. Remember Pluto in your 11th house of goals who is doing some major roto-rooter work in your house of goals and friends. If you have been unrealistic with your goals in the past, then consider this to be one of the major lessons to be learned in this transit. There is also the chance that someone in your family may be the one who brings this to your attention, perhaps by showing some resistance to your grandiose plan. Thus, make a supreme effort to stay within the realms of logic while still allowing your dreams to take form. If they're too outside the realms of the known Universe they simply aren't going to manifest. Just saying. |
