Lunations and Long Term Aspects The Full Moon this month on March 8th falls in Virgo, your 6th house of work, service, health and pets. As always, a Full Moon typically brings an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase which implies you will finish up something in this part of your life. If your birthday is within a day or so of April 8 you can expect a change of direction as well. Your sign ruler, Mars, is also in Virgo and retrograde which suggests that progress in this part of your life has been like driving with the brakes on. More than likely you have been lacking your usual drive for a while now and may find it more difficult than usual to get moving. Depending on what field of work you are in you may have also encountered a variety of mechanical failures or a general feeling that things are not coming together as they should. Obviously this brings about all sorts of frustration which has probably been making your grumpier than usual. When planets are retrograde there is a lesson to be learned but often you're so busy pushing again the resistance than you miss it. This is a time to trouble shoot, not only your job description but your job itself and determine whether or not you're in the right field. Of course if you have a job at all these days you are fortunate but just because the economy worldwide is in pretty sorry shape these days doesn't mean there aren't opportunities. Unexpected news or information is possible which exposes something previously hidden. If your birthday is right around March 25 this may be of a personal nature, for you other Rams it will affect your but not as dramatically. This lunation, however, has two aspect patterns which are potentially fortuitous and can help you deal with whatever occurs. First of all there is a Grand Earth Trine which can help you work toward the security you seek. Retrograde Mars is in one corner, Pluto in Capricorn in another and Jupiter in Taurus completes the triad. This will be in effect for both lunations this month so give it close attention so you can watch for how it is operating in your life and exploit it as you see fit. Mars RX in Virgo was already described. Pluto in Capricorn is in your 10th house of career, reputation and public image. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see how that connects with your work. Pluto is the zodiacal roto-rooter but also represents power. There could be someone in authority making your life miserable with this placement, especially if your birthday is right around March 30. If so, you are experiencing the rigors of a Pluto square Sun which is often quite grueling. This is a time of deep and sometimes painful soul-searching which is going to be directed at career satisfaction. Pluto can also expose corruption and those things which need to be exhumed or eliminated. You can see this operating in the exposure of corruption with regard to governments and corporation as well as in the tightening grip of various authorities to maintain their power or seek for more. Jupiter in Taurus, your 2nd house of income, possessions, finances, comforts, needs and pleasures is quite fortunate. This can allow you to expand and further develop this side of things through leveraging those other two planets. Maybe you can take what you've learned and go off on your own and do it better, which is well suited for independent Aries or perhaps you can work with the powers that be to renovate the status quo to be more profitable and earn yourself a promotion or raise. The 2nd, 6th and 10th houses are known as the "Substance Houses" which relate to our financial well-being. A Grand Trine represents an easy flow of energy which may be easy to ignore. Human nature dictates that the favorable aspects are taken for granted while kicking and screaming against the difficult ones is pretty typical. With Mars RX it will take conscious drive to pursue this and moving forward in an obvious way is not likely. However, using that Mars RX energy to examine current practices and determine better methods of operation is favored. Another favorable aspect pattern is one known as a Triangle of Potential which involves an opposition between Venus in Taurus and Saturn in Libra. Venus is also in your 2nd house of income and she is also dignified in this sign, increasing her influence for good. This bodes well for your income this month but could also make you a bit comfort oriented. Combined with Mars RX you may even be a bit lazy, at least for you. Now is a good time to put aside work and relax. Saturn is exalted in Libra which tends to put a more positive spin on his influence but Saturn is also RX which suggests the need for something to be restructured. Libra is your polar sign and 7th house of relationships. This suggests the need to take a close look at this part of your life for improvements. This opposition therefore isn't necessarily a bad thing because if you take the time to chill out you can ponder what is working and what isn't with the people in your life. The 7th house includes your significant other, business partners, close friends and relatives and also competitors. Professionals with whom you deal one-on-one are also included. The third party in this Triangle of Potential is Neptune who is also dignified in Pisces, where he will be for a long time. Pisces is your 12th house of spirituality, enlightenment, inspiration, dreams, institutions, seclusion, confinement, hidden enemies and self-undoing. This can fit into the puzzle quite nicely, suggesting that you can resolve whatever relationship dilemma you're dealing with by indulging in some quiet time and drawing upon the powers of inspiration to solve it. Given that all three planets are in signs where they operate very nicely coming up with a favorable solution is greatly favored. The New Moon on March 22 is in your sign and will be particularly powerful for those of your born right around March 22. If this lunation falls on your natal Sun, which is likely for those born at that time, give or take a day, it will be with you all year through your solar return. There is a lot of energy in Aries at this time with not only the Sun and Moon but also Mercury and Uranus. However, this may be more challenging than it seems, though a good challenge is usually welcomes by most Rams. Mercury at this time is unfortunately retrograde along with Mars. Mars RX suggests redoing something and Mercury RX suggests rethinking something. That grand trine is still in effect so it looks as if those relationship issues are still in force. All four cosmic entities in Aries are also in conjunction and with Uranus in the mix you can expect some surprises, either from others or even in your own behavior. Uranus is also about freedom, rebellion and breaking free from restrictions. Neptune is throwing some continued inspiration toward reworking whatever is going on with your job, which you may not necessarily like, but also throwing some enlightenment toward those relationship issues. The asteroid, Chiron, the "wounded healer," is opposing Mars from Pisces, which could make you feel a bit like a martyr. This is self-defeating, to be sure, and certainly uncharacteristic of an Aries but with Mars RX this is more likely. No matter what you do, don't indulge in feeling sorry for yourself but take the time you need to search within yourself for the various answers you need which with Neptune's assistance will surely come. |
