Lunations and Long-Term Aspects This month begins with a Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse on June 4th which occurs in Sagittarius, your 6th house of work, health, service and pets. Since the Moon is your sign ruler you are already very susceptible to her antics so an eclipse is going to be even more significant for you than most others, especially a lunar eclipse which tends to operate on the emotional level. The solar eclipse on May 20 is more likely to stir up events. Thus, this one is likely to point toward something overshadowing your emotions with regard to your job, a health issue or perhaps service of some sort. This is a time to determine how you really feel about something, particularly if you don't get what you want. The aspects accompanying this eclipse are not very friendly in character, but the true impact can only be determined from how the transits interact with your individual chart, whether it's your natal, secondary progressed, solar return, planetary return or whatever. If you have moved a significant distance from where you were born, your relocated chart is also quite relevant since all the house cusps change. That said, you should still be able to determine some idea of what to expect from this generic overview. First of all, the Sun is in Gemini, your 12th house of angels and demons, so called because it includes inspiration, spirituality, esoteric knowledge, the collective consciousness, institutions, seclusion, confinement, hidden enemies and self-undoing. With the Sun in that part of your life most of this month you can expect these types of things to be emphasized, especially since there are other planets such as Venus and Mercury in that sign as well, but I'll get to them in a moment. Given the lunation's polarity which ties in your job or perhaps your health as well as these 12th house items, there will be something going on involving them. In particular, take a look at any self-defeating behaviors you may have. This would also be the time to consider whether you're in a job that is right for you. Now add Mars in Virgo in a T-square with the Sun and Moon for additional input. Virgo is your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel. Mars will come out of the shadow period from his recent retrograde on June 20. Mars is all about energy which can be expressed in an aggressive way, thus if you've had any altercations with your siblings or neighbors or perhaps even a fender-bender during your daily commute, you've already seen Mars at work in this house. If something along those lines has already occurred then there's a good chance all the issues associated with it are not yet resolved; the good news is that by the time he exits his RX shadow it should be. In fact, this eclipse is likely to push you toward resolution in one way or another. Venus is currently retrograde and conjunct the Sun for this lunation. Later this month, around the 15th as I recall, she will actually transit the Sun, meaning she will be visible as a small dot crossing its surface which can be observed with the right equipment. Once she has moved to the other side of the Sun she becomes the Warrior Goddess as opposed to the Love Goddess. Bear in mind she is operating in your 12th house of hidden enemies and self-undoing. However, once she dons her armor she is also positioned to defend something, which in this case could be your spiritual views. Venus is also participating in that T-square with Mars, so bear that in mind as well. Mercury is trining Saturn, the only overtly favorable aspect at this time. Mercury is also in your 12th which will stimulate thoughts in this area which is likely to take the form of enlightenment or inspiration. Saturn is in Libra, your 4th house of home environment, memories, new beginnings and cultural roots. Some sort of restructuring is in progress in this part of your life, and it appears that you can obtain some inspiration with regard to how to proceed, or possibly IF to proceed. A long-term aspect to watch out for is the square between Uranus and Pluto. This will be in effect until the end of the year. Pluto, the zodiacal roto-rooter, is in Capricorn, your polar sign and 7th house of close relationships which include your significant other, close friends and relatives, business partners, competitors and business professionals. He is going to be stirring things up in this part of your life for several years to come though it will be most noticeable when he is directly aspecting one of your natal planets. If your birthday is within a day or so of June 30 he is currently opposing your Sun. Pluto in this house will help you identify and eliminate anyone who is no longer providing a positive influence to your life. Uranus is the planet of sudden change, disruptions, surprises, rebellion, breakthroughs, freedom and unexpected events to name a few. He is lurking in your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status where you can expect a variety of situations that fit that description. The square with Pluto ties them together in what could be a challenging manner. Those of you with that June 30 birthday in particular will have something get your attention since your natal Sun is in a T-square with these two bad boys. For example, an upset with your career or status could cause some sort of issue with someone close to you which makes you realize they're as useless as teats on a boar hog, if you'll excuse the Texas colloquialism. The New Moon on June 19 is in Gemini which may provide a sense of deja-vu given that's where the New Moon was last month as well. However, last month it was at 00:21 Gemini and this month at 28:43 Gemini, illustrating the 28 day lunar cycle since the Sun moves approximately one zodiacal degree per day. This lunation is a bit friendlier, though there are still a few things to watch out for. Warrior Venus is in full battle regalia and she's conspiring with Pluto and Uranus. Whatever is going on with one or more of your relationships, a change of direction is likely to occur at this time as you refuse to put up with something going on with someone in your life but this will also offer an opportunity of some sort related to your career or status. For example, perhaps refusing to put up with the antics of a competitor will earn you a sudden promotion or something. Who knows? Jupiter is in your 12th house now as well and squaring Neptune in fellow Water sign, Pisces, where the king of the deep is in his astrological dignity. Pisces is your 9th house of beliefs and expectations, higher learning, legal matters, religion, politics, other cultures, long-distance travel and relocation. Thus, Neptune in this venue can bring you significant inspiration and dreams related to these matters. Jupiter in your 12th house of spirituality is working at expanding this part of your life but there may be a bit of a clash between your current beliefs and any new revelations. This will necessitate some deep meditation and soul-searching to resolve. Mercury is squaring Saturn from your sign and will be on your natal Sun if your birthday is right around July 14. Saturn is in fellow Cardinal sign, Libra, your 4th house of home environment, new beginnings and such as noted earlier. This could represent an obstacle or something with regard to getting started on that new project or revamping something on the home front, perhaps some thoughts on your part about the situation. Mercury is also sextile Mars in Virgo, your house of thoughts, ideas, siblings and neighbors. This suggests some good ideas may come from a sibling or neighbor for taking the needed action on that new beginning or household matter. This will take some effort to implement but will be worth it.
