Lunations and Long-term Aspects This month the Full Moon falls on July 3rd in fellow Earth Sign, Capricorn, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, philosophy of life, higher learning, legal matters, politics, religion, other cultures, and long distance travel. This should bring closure, culmination or shift to a new phase for something in this part of your life. If your birthday is within a day or so of May 3rd the lunation forms a triangle of potential with your Natal Sun, putting you in a position to benefit in some manner. The Sun is in Cancer, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel, highlighting this part of your life. The simplest way to see the effects of this lunation is that you will let go of an old belief based on new data. Other possibilities include going on a trip to visit siblings or changing your expectations of a neighbor. That all sounds pretty benign but be aware that Uranus is forming a T-square with the Sun/Moon system. Uranus is in Aries, your 12th house of angels and demons which includes dreams, inspiration, enlightenment, seclusion, confinement, institutions, the collective consciousness, spirituality, hidden enemies and self-undoing. Uranus is unpredictable so you never know what he may stir up but on the positive side he does a great job of achieving brilliance and innovation. He is also the planet of freedom, rebellion and breaking free, so this transit, which will last for several years, is likely to see numerous new insights which may influence you to break away from old conventions in this area. With your 3rd, 9th and 12th house involved, all of which are cadent, it is very possible that this will all take place on the mental plane. Therefore if you encounter any of the situations in the first paragraph it may bring a few surprises to your spiritual side as well. Pluto is a few zodiacal degrees upstream from the Moon but close enough that his energy will influence the lunation. Pluto excels at unearthing hidden information, whether it be treasures or a classic exhumation which would be less enchanting to say the least. He is going to be in Capricorn for several years and will thus probably do some serious remodeling of your beliefs during that time. He is currently in an ongoing square with Uranus which is going to be in effect on and off until the end of the year. This implies that closely examining your beliefs and expectations and anything else in your 9th house as described above have the potential to clash with your sense of spirituality, one way or the other. Perhaps you'll discover a spiritual realm that simply doesn't synch up with your current belief system or perhaps your religion. Such things are highly likely and may bring about a change of direction in other parts of your life as a result. It's interesting that this lunation includes a yod, a.k.a. Finger of God which is an aspect pattern often associated with fated events or destiny. Pluto is at its eye or apex with your sign ruler, Venus, and Mercury forming the base. Venus is in Gemini, your 2nd house of possessions, finances, income, needs, comforts and pleasures and accidentally dignified there as well since she rules the zodiacal 2nd house which is, you guessed it, Taurus. This is quite nice for this part of your life, needless to say. Mercury is in Leo, your 4th house of home environment, new beginnings, cultural roots and memories. A possible interpretation is that some idea that originates at home has financial benefits which will ultimately bring about a transformation of your beliefs and expectations. There will be an element of surprise to this which is likely to come at the spiritual level. This reminds me of all the visualization techniques and so forth out there as expressed a while back in the movie "The Secret" and taught by a variety of motivational speakers such as Mike Dooley and Robert Anthony. If you have been using one of these methods to visualize something you want, it just might come about. The New Moon on July 18 is in Cancer, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel which suggests something new coming into this part of your life. The lunation is squaring Saturn in Libra, your 6th house of work, health, service, pets and employees of yours. Saturn is exalted in that sign which is a favorable environment for his discipline to find fairness and balance. There is some possibility that this aspect could indicate an illness or health issue with a sibling or neighbor. It could also mean something like you coming up with a new idea that doesn't go any farther than your boss' office, though your boss is likely to be fair, perhaps pointing out reasons why your idea is impractical or whatever. What I recommend here is to mix and match and 3rd and 6th house elements to see what seems to make sense for your circumstances. Obviously it is entirely impossible for me to cover them all. There is a somewhat nasty looking T-square out there involving Uranus, Mars and Pluto. It will begin to form a few days before the New Moon, peak for the lunation, then fade out by around the 25th. Pluto was already covered above as Uranus also touched on as far as instituting various surprises in your 12th house. Mars has moved into Libra by this time, sign of his debility. Mars likes to move forward of his own accord but in Libra he has to be more considerate of others. This could very well represent you and that idea as noted above or some other matter related to the lunation's square with Saturn. One possibility is that your attempts to move forward with something at work do a real number on your beliefs and expectations, motivating you to examine them for revision. Uranus, of course, can be that "Aha!" moment where you get another view of life you'd previously missed. There is a triangle of potential, however, involving the opposition between Uranus and Mars and Jupiter in Gemini, your 2nd house of possessions, finances, income, needs, comforts and pleasures. Jupiter is in soft aspect to Uranus and Mars and thus mitigates the situation. Venus, your sign ruler, is also in that house which is fortunate, as noted earlier. In fact, Jupiter and Venus are both benefics and both of them are in your 2nd house which should do you some good. Thus it is possible that some good luck in the financial department helps you deal with any other issues or it's possible that the T-square is simply a major challenge that you'll work your way through successfully and obtain a bonus or financial reward for. At any rate, if all else fails, their message may be to relax, de-stress and take care of yourself and not worry about things over which you have no control. |
