Lunations and Long-term Aspects This month the Full Moon is on July 3rd in Capricorn, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors, and local travel. As always a Full Moon will typically bring a culmination, ending or shift to a new phase and will probably relate to one of these 3rd house areas. If your birthday is right around November 5th the Sun/Moon will form an aspect pattern known as a Triangle of Potential with your Natal Sun, putting you in a favorable position to turn whatever this might be to your advantage. The Sun is in your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, philosophy of life, higher learning, religion, politics, other cultures and long distance travel, so these things are also involved. For example, if you have an idea about going back to school or a trip abroad, you may just be able to pull it off. This Full Moon is only a few zodiacal degrees downstream from your modern sign ruler, Pluto, meaning some of his energy will reflect in this lunation. While Pluto is in Capricorn, which is going to be several years, Scorpio's discernment will be on the proverbial steroids. You already have strong intuition and the ability to sniff out secrets of all descriptions and your sign ruler, the inventor of such things, will provide additional energy in that regard. Pluto is not only involved in the lunation but he is also at the eye of a yod, also known as a Finger of God, an aspect with fated implications. If you look at a yod on a horoscope it looks like an arrow, perhaps even the "flying finger of fate" of mention years ago on the old 60s comedy show, "Laugh In." At the base of this one is Mercury in Leo and Venus in Gemini. Leo is your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status so Mercury in that house implies news or information regarding one or more of those matters. Gemini is in the 8th house of transformations and the house Scorpio rules in the zodiac, making this familiar ground as well. Also included in this venue are sex, death and regeneration (literal and figurative), debt, shared resources and inheritances. This could thus bring about career or status news that transforms your finances in some way due to the discovery of some hidden information, something that comes all too easily for a Scorpio. You could also make a discovery of some sort that makes the news and thus brings you fame and fortune. One can always hope! Uranus is also aspecting Venus and Mercury in a sextile pattern which generally denotes opportunities which will come out of the blue. In this particular configuration Uranus can bring a favorable surprise, even though he is up to no good with various other alliances he's involved with, which I'll get to in a moment. The main point is that so far there are some rather pleasant aspect patterns out there. That's the good news. On the less favorable side Uranus, planet of disruptions, disturbances, rebellion, innovation and explosions (again literal and figurative) is forming a T-square with the Full Moon. Uranus is in Aries, your 6th house of work, health, pets and employees whom you hire or work for you. Thus, if your work has been hectic and full of such Uranian energy lately, this is why. Thus, a surprise at work may set this whole thing off, as described in the first paragraph above. On the positive side, however, remember that those of you affected the most also have your Natal Sun in a position to mitigate it to your advantage. Scorpios are quite fortunate this month in that several aspects which could be quite nasty are positioned such that they won't have quite as detrimental of an effect on you as other signs. At least you have a few favorable vibes out there to work with. The New Moon on July 18 is in fellow Water Sign, Cancer, your 9th house of beliefs and such as described above. This is likely to bring something new to this part of your life. The lunation is squaring Saturn in Libra, your 12th house of angels and demons, i.e. dreams, inspiration, enlightenment, spirituality, institutions, confinement, seclusion, hidden enemies and self-undoing. Saturn is exalted in Libra which makes his energy more favorable as his discipline blends nicely with the fair nature of Libra. This suggests a conflict to be resolved between your beliefs and spiritual self though of course there are various other possibilities as well. Given that the 9th includes legal matters it could also involve some new issue in that regard. Saturn just came out of retrograde which indicates it's time to rebuild something. If you don't know what that might be it's a good bet that this lunation will enlighten you. There's a somewhat ominous T-square out there at this time which involves Uranus, Mars and Pluto. It starts to phase in a few days before the New Moon, peaks at that time, and then gradually fades by around July 25th. These three planets can be quite malefic, especially in hard aspect, but much of how they influence you depends on how they interact with your natal chart. Mars is in Libra, your 12th house of angels and demons, which suggests a hidden enemy or self-defeating behavior. Pluto can signify power trips and in your 3rd this will either mean one of your own, at least on the mental plane, or perhaps a sibling or neighbor. Uranus in your 6th, as previous noted, is likely to be stirring things up at work or perhaps with your health. Basically, watch your back at work seems to be the message here. Anything unexpected that comes along has the potential to bite you so keep an eye out and be on your best behavior. Whatever you do don't give anyone a stick to beat you with, if you know what I mean. Jupiter in Gemini mitigates this slightly with a Triangle of Potential from your 8th house of sex and transformations. Hahaha, I am certainly not saying that sleeping with someone is the key to resolving that T-square. That is obviously beyond my purview and not something I encourage by any means. Jupiter is in debility in Gemini where his "big picture" nature is overwhelmed with information. Nonetheless, he tends to be benefic, wise and philosophical, so if you take that approach to whatever is going on with the T-square you are likely to come out of it better than if you dig in your heels and fight tooth and nail. Mars may be debilitated in Libra but he is also your ancient sign ruler so you certainly know how to use that energy as well. |
