Lunations and Long-Term Aspects This is your month, Cancer, when the Sun transits your sign and brings you to the forefront as you begin a new cycle via your solar return. The Full Moon this month on July 3 is in your polar sign, Capricorn, which is your 7th house of close relationships. If your birthday is within a day or so of July 4 this lunation will have an even stronger effect as it will be part of your solar return and thus last for the coming year. Pluto is only four zodiacal degrees upstream from the Moon, your sign ruler, so his influence will be quite strong. A Full Moon typically brings a culmination, ending or shift to a new phase which is going to show up in your relationships and Pluto's influence will tend to help resolve any old issues and thus facilitate a new beginning. Pluto is also the eye of a yod or Finger of God which tends to point toward something of a fated nature. Thus, it is likely that taking care of such things is karmic in some way. Mercury in Leo and Venus in Gemini comprise the base of the yod and thus provide some hints about what to expect. Mercury is the planet of communications, news, and information and Leo is your 2nd house of income, finances, possessions, needs, comforts and pleasures. Venus is the natural ruler of love and money and Gemini is your 12th house of spirituality, imagination, enlightenment, inspiration, seclusion, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing or what I typically dub the "angels and demons" house. A very basic delineation is therefore visualizing something you want or need and then transforming a relationship in order to make it so. Uranus in fellow Cardinal Sign, Aries, your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status, can bring a surprise element to this and present some opportunities for you to act upon. For example, an opportunity for a sudden promotion or job change may come along which facilitates the rest. Maybe you've been wanting to marry your sweetheart but needed a promotion to be able to do so properly and this could bring it your way. Uranus is full of surprises so it's likely to come out of the blue. At any rate, these are some favorable influences to watch for. Uranus, however, is not entirely behaving this month. He is also forming a T-square with the lunation itself, i.e. squaring both the Sun and Moon. There is thus some tension involved in all this which of course is to be expected with any significant or rapid change or unexpected event. Therefore the very thing which can deliver your dreams will also have an element of stress as you attempt to pursue those relationship issues. Jupiter is also in your 12th house which will further expand your intuition and spirituality. He is squaring Neptune in fellow Water Sign, Pisces which is your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, legal matters, other cultures, long-distance travel, religion, politics and philosophy of life. Neptune rules Pisces and is thus in the sign of his dignity where he is very comfortable and strong. This will bring a strong intuitive and spiritual dimension to this part of your life which is going to last for years. Jupiter is typically a benefic planet but this square could tend to make you a bit unrealistic, dreamy or out of touch with reality. Dreaming big in and of itself is certainly not a bad thing but the key is to temper it with enough reality to avoid major disappointments. Mars went into fellow Cardinal Sign, Libra, just in time for this lunation. Libra is your 4th house of home environment, memories, new beginnings and cultural roots and the house that Cancer rules zodiacally. Mars is in debility in this sign but that is not necessarily a bad thing. Mars likes to take action independently but being in Libra will bring the needs and opinions of others to the table. He is trining Jupiter over there expanding your imagination so this can help you gather input which can serve to not only ground your visions but also help you attain them. However, that won't last too long so don't delay calling upon that energy as needed because by the time of the New Moon he is not quite as friendly. The New Moon on July 18 is in your sign and conjunct your Natal Sun for those of you born within a day or so of July 19. At this point Mars has positioned himself opposite Uranus who is squaring Pluto and thus forming a Cardinal T-square comprised of malefic planets. If your birthday is the last few days of June your Natal Sun makes this into a Cardinal Grand Cross which is likely to bring a rather tense situation your way. Fortunately at a Water Sign you have a whole lot of resilience and inborn strength which will make this a time of significant personal growth even though you may need to buy tissues by the case. As a Cardinal Sign you excel at taking action rather than waiting for someone else to do so. This is an excellent time to confront any of those relationship issues. Surprises careerwise may conflict with things you want to get done at home but that situation can facilitate dealing with those unresolved relationship issues. These relationships may involve your significant other but a variety of others fit into the 7th house as well, such as close friends and relatives, business partners, business professionals, and so forth. Thus, this could be a business situation as easily as a personal one. Mars in Libra in your 4th house can actually be very useful for getting things done at home with the help of others so this can be a very productive time even though it will contain a certain amount of tension, which is not always a bad thing. |
