Lunations and Long Term Aspects The Full Moon this month is July 3rd in fellow Cardinal Sign, Capricorn, your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status. This should bring a culmination, ending or shift to a new phase of something that falls in this part of your life. There are some interesting aspect patterns out there with this lunation which should make for an interesting month. One of particular interest is a yod, a.k.a. "Finger of God" (or perhaps better named the "Flying Fickle Finger of Fate" to borrow from the 60s comedy show, Laugh In). As implied, it typically points toward a fated event which should be particularly interesting given that the eye is occupied by Pluto with Mercury in Leo and Venus in Gemini providing the base. Pluto is only a few zodiacal degree upstream from the Moon, thus imbuing his energy to the lunation even without being party to a yod. This god of the Underworld is the planet of transformation, power, control, and likewise the zodiacal roto-rooter that uncovers anything hidden away, particularly things which are corrupt or buried unresolved. Thus, if you have anything to hide from public view, brace yourself. Of course this is but one of the ways in which it might manifest; it could just as easily spill some dirt on your boss, company you work for, or do so in a positive way. Further clues on what to watch for are provided by Mercury and Venus. Mercury, natural ruler of communications, is in Leo, your 5th house of ego expression, creativity, children, romance, entertainment and speculation, yielding some possibilities for what Pluto may reveal. Venus, natural ruler of love and money, is in Gemini, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel. So, one of the simplest and most obvious delineations would be if you're getting it on with your neighbor you may be seeing it in the newspaper; if you're running for political office look out! Hopefully I haven't given anyone a heart attack but I feel it's my job to warn you of such eventualities. There are, of course, various other ways in which this may play out. For example, your neighbor's daughter or sister's child may discover their employer is laundering money. Pluto is not always this ominous, however, and it could even be that something simply comes out in the open that is not necessarily unpleasant. It may not be dramatic and could simply be someone confessing to a past faux pas on Facebook. Whatever it is, it will come as a surprise, given that Uranus is trining Mercury and sextile Venus. Speaking of Uranus, he is in your sign for a long-haul and if your birthday happens to be right around March 28 - 30 he is conjunct your Natal Sun. All Rams are going to feel it to some degree, but those of you dealing with a conjunction won't be able to miss it even if you try because you life is probably quite hectic and unpredictable these days. Of course Aries thrives on excitement and rather be slaying dragons than being bored so chances are you're dealing with this better than those who require more stability to maintain their sanity. Uranus is also in a key position with this lunation since he is squaring both the Sun and Moon and thus forming a T-square which is rather tense aspect pattern. It does not always mean something unfortunate but it does bring stress. This is likely to show up as some sort of conflict between home and career, which is certainly nothing new. Both areas of your life are probably hopping right now so you're thinking "so tell me something I don't already know." At least now you know its source. Uranus and Pluto are in a long-term square which will be in effect on and off for the rest of the year, if not longer. Therefore you will continue to see unexpected events and situations which will relate to your career or something else that resides in the 10th house as defined above. You may have a boss on a power trip or exposed to others who try to control you in some way. Conversely you may be the one wanting control, especially if things are extraordinarily hectic. It's not going to change any time soon so you may want to take up meditation or yoga to cope. And speaking of such things, Neptune in Pisces is being squared by Jupiter in Gemini which may actually help. Neptune rules Pisces and is very strong now and will be for many years to come. There has been a definite shift in intuitive energy since his ingress to the sign of his dignity in February. You should be noticing this given that Pisces is your 12th house which rules such things including spirituality, inspiration, enlightenment, seclusion, confinement, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing. At any rate, this can really help if you do decide to start meditating. Jupiter is in debility, however, making his "big picture" nature a bit overwhelmed by too much information. Thus, you may find it difficult to clear you mind and de-stress when you're being bombarded by data, too many people calling or talking to you, etc. However, Aries are typically up to a good challenge and this is one you would do well to take since it will definitely help you manage your stress during what is likely to be a hectic time. The New Moon on July 18 is in Cancer, your 4th house of home environment, memories, new beginnings and cultural roots. This lunation is squaring Saturn in Libra, sign of his exaltation. This is a favorable combination where Saturn's discipline and order find balance and fairness. Libra is your polar sign and 7th house of relationships. This one looks as if it's time to confront someone in your household, or vice versa, about assuming their share of the responsibilities around the house. Saturn in Libra can help you do so in a manner that can work for both sides. Your sign ruler, Mars, just went into Libra as well. The bad news is that Mars is in debility in that sign where your natural inclination to take action, albeit impulsively, is slowed down as you're forced to consider others. Mars is opposing Uranus which suggests that anything you want to do or perhaps break free from is going to resist your efforts and demand that you consider the other people involved. And don't forget that Uranus is squaring Pluto thus making this a T-square which comprises a triad of malefic planets. Maybe someone related to your career is making your life miserable and you want to quit but your spouse is not supportive of that action. Uranus in Aries is going to exacerbate your natural need for freedom and autonomy so you can see how this will be a challenging time when running away is not an option. Jupiter in Gemini can mitigate this somewhat by providing the information, albeit too much, you need to make responsible decisions. Taking a philosophical view or however Pluto is affecting you is one way to shift your attitude. Nothing lasts forever, even when you want it to. Jupiter is no longer squaring Neptune, in fact Neptune is now peregrine, i.e. unaspected, so he can function to his fullest capacity and help you do the necessary escaping to maintain your sanity and blood pressure. Even if you're not the type for meditation, you can use this energy to escape through your imagination. Rather than worrying about the present, visualize where you want to go and scope out what you can do today to head in that direction. Getting where you want requires that you know where it is or you'll be running in circles as if you're trying to drive coast to coast without a map or GPS. Use this vision to stabilize you, even as you have to slay those dragons. |
