Lunations and Long-term Aspects A long-term aspect to be aware of is that Uranus - Pluto square with both planets, which are potentially "bad boys," in Cardinal signs which are predisposed to action. A square, of course, is a hard aspect that usually results in conflict. Pluto in Capricorn is likely to result in various power grabs as well as exposure of corruption in government and corporate entities. Big surprise there. Uranus, planet of surprises, sudden change and rebellion is certainly likely to stir up a few things in impulsive, independent Aries. This could well turn out to be one of those classic "clash of the Titans" situations which may or may not be fun to watch. On the personal side how this square influences you will depend on how it hits your chart. Just because there's a real nasty aspect out there by transit doesn't necessarily mean it will be a problem for you at the personal level, though all hell may be breaking loose all around you. Pluto in fellow Earth sign, Capricorn, is in your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, legal matters, politics, religion, other cultures, long-distance travel and relocation. His function in that locale is likely to unearth various features inherent in your belief system that may need to be purged or purified. Pluto is about excavation, death and regeneration, transformation in all its forms. It's about eliminating things you no longer need. Pluto is currently trining your natal Sun if your birthday is right around April 29 so shades of this close examination of what you really believe is already in force. Uranus is in Aries, your 12th house of angels and demons which includes dreams, inspiration, enlightenment, institutions, seclusion, confinement, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing. Uranus brings surprises, flashes of brilliance (and yes, explosions), innovation, high tech, and unconventionality along with rebellion and breaking away from anything holding you back. This can have a very interesting effect with the Pluto square. As you discover anything in your belief system which is no longer valid, you may discover this in a sudden manner and shift gears much more quickly than you normally would. On the other hand a square does suggest a struggle so this won't necessarily be easy. Pluto is all about letting go which is not something Fixed signs like to do, so you may encounter some interesting situations. For example, your spiritual insights may be entirely contrary to the religion or belief system you grew up with. Give this some thought and see how it's operating for you. The Full Moon on August 1 is in fellow Fixed sign, Aquarius, your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status. This implies an ending, culmination or change in phase for something in this part of your life. Remember that status encompasses numerous things including anything that might appear in the public records, newspaper or involve a title, recognition or label. With the Sun in Leo, your 4th house of home environment, memory, cultural roots and endings/new beginnings, it is very likely you will see something fade out to make room for something new to come in. The yod in this lunation comprising the Sun, Jupiter and Pluto may provide a few other hints toward what to expect. Jupiter is in Gemini, your 2nd house of income, possessions, needs and comforts where he is likely to provide a sense of expansion. With your sign ruler, Venus, also in this house, it should be a favorable time financially or otherwise. This may be a time when you benefit from a raise and thus start a new cycle which also points toward renovating your belief system in some way. Or it may involve uprooting and relocating. There are numerous opportunities showing up again in your house of work, health, service and pets. By now Mercury is direct so you can decide what you want to do which is likely to be a change of direction. The money is likely to be very tempting but doesn't necessarily make it any easier. This is where a flash of inspiration can be very useful so take the time you need to relax and consider all sides with their respective pros and cons. The Full Moon on August 31 is in Pisces, your 11th house of friends, organizations, goals, groups and networking. If your birthday is right around April 29 this will have a strong influence on you as well. The Sun is in Virgo, your 5th house of ego definition, creativity, children, romance, entertainment and speculation. Given that a Full Moon involves both the Sun and Moon these two houses will be tied together in some manner as well. You may reach a creative goal or define a new one or take an existing one to the next level or it could simply be about having a good time with your friends. There is a yod with this lunation as well, again involving the Sun but also Mars and Uranus, which is at the eye this time and points toward that insightful flash of brilliance which will involve your creativity and perhaps action regarding someone close to you. This could conceivably be an ego clash of some sort as well which could have explosive results; remember that the 12th house where Uranus lies is also the house of self-undoing. Nonetheless, there are several favorable aspects along with the challenges so this is an excellent time to focus on your goals, past, present and future, and examine anything that may be holding you back. |
