Lunations and Long-term Aspects The Full Moon on April 6 is in nextdoor neighboring sign, Libra, your 12th house of angels and demons which includes such things as dreams, inspiration, enlightenment, transcendence, seclusion, confinement, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing. A Full Moon implies an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase which is also likely to include shades of Aries, your 6th house, which is where the Sun is, and includes your work, service, health and pets. Examine these two parts of your life to see how this lunation is affecting you. Your sign ruler, Pluto, is getting into a long-term relationship with Uranus which is likely to be fairly volatile, to say the least. Pluto is in Capricorn, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, siblings and local travel which for Scorpios is not a bad place to be. No one can handle Pluto's energy as well as you can and having this influence in your house of thoughts and ideas can be very powerful. However, guard against being too obsessive, which could darken the energy and ultimately cause a few problems. Pluto rules such things as power and control with his expertise especially adept at uncovering corruption of all sorts, whether it is governmental, corporate, or something hiding inside your body which needs to be removed. Secrets are his domain with his ability to unearth them only equaled by his ability to keep his own under cover of darkness. If you are a mystery writer, detective or auditor this placement will put your abilities on steroids. In the world around you the effects are obvious with all the corruption being exposed in governments and corporations, even as their leaders tighten their grip on their perceived territories. Now enter Uranus. Uranus rules fellow Fixed Sign, Aquarius, which constitutes your 4th house of home environment, memories, cultural roots, and endings, which of course imply a new beginning. Uranus rules disruptions, disturbances, surprises, unexpected events, innovation, technology, individuality, freedom, breaking away from convention, egalitarianism, and so forth. He is the ruler of what the Age of Aquarius is all about. Aries, where Uranus currently resides, is impulsive and potentially violent which implies Uranian energy in that sign is a rather volatile combination. Consider than in the 1930s when Uranus was in Aries and squaring Pluto, which at the time was in Cancer, Capricorn's polar sign, that we saw fascism, war, and the development of the hydrogen bomb. Need I say more? That is the mundane epitome of those two planets squaring each other, so you need to respect their potential for annihilation. Aries, as noted above, is your 6th house of work so the implications are that you are going to see a lot of interesting action on the job, whether or not you deal directly with such things as explosives. A hectic, unpredictable pace is likely at least. Squares are not always bad aspects any more than trines are always good as far as their results are concerned. All they really mean is that the energy exchange is stressful in the former and harmonious in the latter. Squares can bring a challenge which is simply too much of a good thing while trines can bring misfortune when two planets like Saturn and Mars combine. Thus, the square between Pluto and Uranus has a variety of possibilities. You may be clinging to an old way of doing things and refusing to evolve while technology is beating down your office door, as one possibility. On the other hand, office politics may be exposed and create all sorts of upsets. The main point is to be aware that this is going to be in effect until near the end of December and I'm sure you Scorpios will know it when you see it. Back to the Full Moon specifically, a short-term T-square is present to watch for as well. Venus is at the apex in Gemini, your 8th house of transformations, death and rebirth, inheritances, sex, intense, and life-changing experiences. If this stuff sounds familiar it's because Scorpio is the natural ruler of these things. Venus in this house is typically good plus you need to remember that not everything that falls in this house is unfortunate by any means; they just tend to be intense, but you can handle that. Venus is squaring Mars who is retrograde in Virgo, your 11th house of groups, organizations, friends, networking and goals. When Mars is retrograde you're the batter as opposed to the pitcher and you may find things coming at you in this part of your life versus you being the one initiating action. Mars RX is also a time to take a close look at something with the mind of un-doing or redoing it, particularly if things have not gone as hoped for in the past. Mars RX in the 11th could also bring a passive-aggressive person your way, which is always fun. Things tend to feel stuck during this time and making forward progress is impaired. Your energy level is often affected as well to say nothing of having minimal if any motivation. Mars is your ancient sign ruler so you probably feel this withdrawal and internalization. So, whatever is going on with Mars it's going to be effecting what could be a transformational change, perhaps reflecting one of your own behaviors which you decide it's time to modify. Also in the T-square is Neptune, dignified in his home sign of fellow Water Sign, Pisces, your 5th house of ego definition, creativity, romance, entertainment, children, and speculation. This is a rather nice placement for Neptune where his dreamy, inspirational quality can bring a lot of enjoyment, provided it doesn't become delusional or so far removed from reality. The opposition between the King of the Deep and Mars RX may be trying to teach you something which you are resisting, yet will ultimately change you in a significant way. Looking at the 11th as your house of goals, perhaps you have something you want to accomplish which has been stuck in the mud and that may be because you've been unrealistic or possibly even delusional. Neptune's energy in Pisces is extremely strong but one thing he can do in the house of ego is dissolve it a bit or, conversely, give you the illusion that you are omnipotent. It's okay to go for your dreams, but make sure you're going about it in the right way. This T-square implies that there is something you need to change, albeit dramatically, in order to be successful in whatever you're trying to pursue. The New Moon on April 21 is in your polar sign, Taurus, your 7th house of close relationships. This includes your significant other, close friends and relatives, business partners, business professionals, your cliental if you're in business for yourself, competitors and open enemies. If your birthday is within a day or so of October 26 this lunation will have the strongest effect. Watch for someone new to come your way in this part of your life. Mars has gone direct by this time and the implications are that this new person is going to be helpful as far as getting that project going. Mercury and Uranus are conjunct in Aries and quincunx Mars, indicating sudden or unexpected news with brings about a change of direction of your goals at work. Neptune is in favorable aspect to the lunation, however, which implies that his inspiration will be useful in either finding or identifying this particular individual. |
