Lunations and Long-term Aspects

The Full Moon on April 6 is in fellow Air Sign, Libra, your 5th house of ego definition, creativity, children, romance, entertainment and speculation.  If your birthday is right around June 8th the Moon trines and the Sun sextiles your natal Sun, providing an ever greater boost to this part of your life.  Remember that a Full Moon usually brings an ending, culmination, or shift to a new phase which you should watch for in this part of your life. One long-term aspect appearing in this Full Moon is a square between two outer planets, Uranus and Pluto.  Uranus is in Aries somewhat upstream from the Sun, where he is stirring things up amongst your friends, other groups and perhaps your personal goals.

Uranus is the planet of disruptions, disturbances, surprises, unexpected events, breaking free, rebellion and innovation and his erratic nature is exacerbated in impulsive, energetic Aries.  He is already unpredictable by nature so I won't even go there, but bear in mind you can expect a variety of surprises in this part of your life.  This is not to say they won't be good, only that they may come out of the blue from within your circle of friends and associates or perhaps with regard to your goals.  Uranus rules Aquarius, your 9th house of higher learning, beliefs, expectations, other cultures, relocation, foreign travel, legal matters, religion, politics and so forth so these are likely to come into play as well.  In other words, your friends and such are likely to tie into this part of your life in some way.

Pluto is camped out in Capricorn, another Cardinal Sign like Aries, which happens to be your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and rebirth, shared resources, debt, and intense experiences.  Pluto is the zodiacal roto-rooter who digs up anything buried before its time for proper disposal, i.e., clearing and, as required, healing, somewhat like lancing a figurative boil.  When you get Uranus and Pluto together in stressful aspect there's no telling what could come of it.  If your birthday is between in the end of May you are more likely to be feeling these effects than other Twins though this is going to last long enough everyone will get a taste of it sooner or later.  One way this could manifest would be for something to occur in your circle of friends which not only takes you by complete surprise but triggers deep introspection followed by personal transformation on some level.  On the "turning lemons into lemonade" side, however, with Venus in your 1st house forming a sextile with Uranus, this mitigates this energy in such a way that with proper handling it can turn into an opportunity, at least for growth but perhaps something more, depending on your goals.

While Venus is a benefic planet who's currently cruising through your 1st house and may help with an Uranus-type bursts of activity, she is also at the apex of a T-square for this lunation.  Again, this implies that whatever challenges come from the other two planets involved, i.e. retrograde Mars and Neptune, she is likely to sweeten the deal, whatever it may happen to be.  Mars retrograde has put quite a damper on most people's motivation the past few months.  I, for one, am virtually counting the days until it's over which will be to some degree April 14 though the "shadow" period goes on until the third week of June.  Mars has been doing the backstroke in fellow Mutable Sign, Virgo, your 4th house of home environment, memories, cultural roots and endings, which of course also implies new beginnings.  Mars gives us drive and momentum but when he's retrograde you may find things coming at you instead, the batter instead of the pitcher, so to speak.  This implies that home situations or something else that resides in the 4th house may be coming at you and keeping you from pursuing something you want.

Also tied into this aspect pattern is Neptune who's well situated in his home base of Pisces, another Mutable Sign and your 10th house of career, reputation, public image, and status.  There is little else as conducive to pursuing your dreams as having a dignified Neptune in the relevant house.  However, going after them in whatever manner may be required is not going to be easy.  For example, if your life-long dream is to visit the Egyptian pyramids, something is probably going to come up on the home front that makes it a problem.  Oddly enough, however, Uranus may mitigate this in a favorable way, not only via the sextile to Venus mentioned earlier, but via a quincunx to Mars which indicates an unexpected change of direction coming from your 11th house of groups and goals.  Watch for a situation which is multifaceted, contains a few challenges, yet also has at least one way for you to come up smelling like roses.

The New Moon on April 21 is in nextdoor neighboring sign, Taurus, your 12th house of angels and demons.  This is where inspiration, enlightenment, spirituality, the collective consciousness, seclusion, confinement, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing reside.  See what I mean?  If your birthday is right around May 22 this lunation will have the strongest effect.  By this time Mars is no longer retrograde, which IMHO is cause for celebration in and of itself.  As noted earlier, Mars is in Virgo, your 4th house of home environment, and this New Moon is pumping a steady flow of energy into something that needs to get done at home or perhaps starting a new cycle of some sort.  Mercury and Uranus are conjunct in Aries, suggesting that some surprise news or information from a friend or group is going to contribute to a shift of some kind.  Neptune is sextile the New Moon as well, pouring inspiration and insights in as well, though this will require a balancing act in order to handle the home environment issues or new beginning, whichever it happens to be.  Your solar return is phasing in during this time, set to begin officially when the Sun returns to the position it was in when you were born.  What you have coming your way from that time on is slowly being revealed to you at this time.
