The New Moon on October 4 is in Libra, your 2nd house of income, possessions, your physical body, finances, needs, comforts, pleasures and what you value. Watch for something new to come your way from this part of your life though it is likely to come trailing a few caveats since the lunation is forming a T-square with that long-term Uranus - Pluto square. It's also possible it could be some sort of downturn so plan accordingly. The square between the New Moon and Pluto in your 5th house of ego definition, children, romance, creativity, entertainment and speculation suggests expenses may hail from this part of your life. Those of you with children or involved in a romantic relationship probably aren't surprised since that is probably business as usual. It could also indicate increased spending with regard to a pricey hobby. Pluto signifies such things as power, control, transformation, and eliminating things you no longer need such as old baggage from the past. Uranus is in Aries, your 8th house of transformations, which reinforces Pluto's work as the natural ruler of this house while Uranus is related to unexpected events, freedom, rebellion, innovation, explosions, breakthroughs, technology and surprises.

If your birthday is right around September 3 this aspect pattern interacts with your natal Sun so you are most likely to be influenced by it. It's not a sure thing that this could bring something unfortunate but it doesn't exactly look like winning the lotto, either, even though that is a very remote possibility, believe it or not. I advice caution this month with regard to your children, sporting events and entertainment in general just in case. In a nutshell this could spell a transformation of your finances through entertainment or an intense experience that brings personal injury. Virgos are inclined to worry as much or more than any other sign and I don't want to freak you out, but you also like to plan and be practical so I'm just passing that along for what it's worth. I'd be irresponsible as an astrologer if I didn't let you know that there's some stuff out there that isn't necessarily friendly. Another one to watch out for is a square between Mars and Venus. Mars is in your 12th house of hidden enemies and self-undoing which isn't exactly friendly, either, especially with Mars ruling your 3rd house which includes your neighborhood and the 8th of transformations and such. Venus is in the 3rd as well, so if there are any problems they're likely to occur locally.

There are some favorable things going on, however. There's an opportunity to develop a creative idea or teach your child an important lesson about responsibility. Taking responsibility for an idea may also bring about a sudden change of direction that has transformational potential. In a way that sounds like the old adage "If life gives you lemons make lemonade." Just be careful and don't take any unnecessary chances, okay?

The Full Moon on October 18 is also a lunar eclipse which increases its influence and staying power. In other words, its effects could be delayed and turn up several months from now. It occurs in Aries, your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and regeneration, shared resources, debt, things you suppress and intense experiences. If your birthday is right around September 18 - 19 the Moon forms a quincunx with your natal Sun and suggests a shift in direction or change of course as a result. On the positive side, this eclipse is a member of the 16 North family of the Saros series which generally has friendly implications for obtaining inspired advice that you'd do well to follow. Mars has moved into your sign and is conjunct your Sun if your birthday is right around August 26. With Mars opposing Neptune you should be particularly cautious about taking advice from anyone at this time because it's likely to be inaccurate. On the positive side, Jupiter is in Cancer, sign of his exaltation and your 11th house of goals, friends, organizations, groups, hopes, wishes, and networking which is good for expanding this part of your life. The trine to your sign ruler, Mercury, implies expansive ideas but there's another big caution flag involved since Mercury is in the process of going retrograde.

Mercury ruled signs Virgo and Gemini typically really notice it when their sign ruler goes into one of his backstroke stints about three times a year. In modern times we especially are aware of this due to our dependence on electronic communications and mechanical devices, a.k.a. computers, cell phones, and automobiles. I probably don't need to but will nonetheless remind you not to buy anything that fits in this category from October 21 or even a few days before that, until at least after November 9 and better still November 28. If you must, rent, but taking possession of something ruled by Mercury when he's retrograde does not bode well for the item's future performance. It's also not a good time to sign a contract. He favors such activities as rethinking, reconsidering, revising, editing, repairing, redoing and re-planning. The trine to Jupiter is still in effect driving those directives toward your friends and goals. Venus has moved into your 4th house of home environment, memories, cultural roots, endings and new beginnings and is trining Uranus, suggesting a transformational new beginning. Whether or not you should go for it is part of the rethinking and reconsidering. Remember, however, that you may not receive good advice from anyone close to you so be sure you do plenty of research and ultimately make the decision on your own. As Mars moves through your 1st house and conjoins your natal Sun you will be full of energy and anxious to move forward. Just make sure it's in the right direction.
