Lunations and Long Term Aspects This is your month, Virgo, when you will have your solar return unless you already had one the end of August. A long-term aspect to be aware of which will be in effect on and off for several years is that Uranus - Pluto square. These two planets are not typically known for their benevolence, yet any astrological aspect has a positive and negative manifestation. You can have some measure of control when you're aware it's out there and then use the energy according to its archetype; otherwise it is more likely to use you. Uranus is in Aries, your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and regeneration, debt and shared resources so this is the part of your life to keep an eye on for abrupt or unexpected experiences which have a significant effect on you. Uranus is all about sudden change, breakthroughs, freedom, rebellion and innovation as well as having a strong bearing on personal expression and authenticity. If you have been suppressing your true nature in a negative manner it's likely you will encounter events and situations which will help you break free and leave whatever behind that may be required in a surprisingly detached manner. Pluto is in fellow Earth Sign, Capricorn, where he will be digging up all sorts on information relative to your 5th house which includes your past, ego definition, creativity and speculative activities. This transit will help you discover parts of yourself you didn't know existed along with the possibility of hidden talents. Any unresolved issues will arise as well. Children and romance are also included in this house and therefore may be included. It isn't much of a stretch to see how these two can help you reinvent yourself in a positive way. If your birthday is right around August 31st - September 1st you are already under the influence of this transit due to the fact Uranus and Pluto are both aspecting your natal Sun. Uranus is forming a quincunx which is a somewhat uncomfortably aspect which requires an adjustment, change of course, or justification for your current position. Pluto is trining your natal Sun, a harmonious aspect which usually delivers an easy flow of energy. The square between the two planets does suggests some challenges or difficulties in the process. While this square will be in effect for a long time astrologically it will contact your natal Sun for a much shorter duration. The two planets are progressing in their respectively orbits in a somewhat synchronized manner which keeps the aspect intact even though it will progress through the zodiac degrees as well as regress during retrograde periods. The New Moon this month is on September 15 so if your birthday is within a day or so of this date it is possible it will be part of your solar return and thus with you for the entire year. A New Moon represents a beginning and thus also can indicate a new phase of life. Other than the Uranus - Pluto square described above this is a fairly friendly lunation. The Sun, Moon and Mercury are in your sign, providing a lot of familiar energy. Saturn is still in Libra, sign of its exaltation, and thus helping you to restructure matters pertaining to your 2nd house of finances, income, possessions, needs, pleasures and comforts. Early next month he moves into Scorpio which is probably good news given that Saturn in the 2nd house is often an indicator of numerous restrictions and restructuring which in your house of income may have been less than enchanting, except in exaltation he is definitely more favorable than in other locales. Mars and Jupiter are in partile quincunx which suggests that taking action on some of your ideas can have an expansive effect on your career, reputation or status. Virgos tend to be self-deprecating because you are such a perfectionist that unless it meets your very high standards you tend to be apologetic. However, compared to the rest of the world, your thought process and work ethic is phenomenal and I can tell you from my own experience as a manager that I LOVE Virgos because they do such an amazing job. Mars is in Scorpio, placing him in the sign of his traditional dignity before the discover of Pluto, and thus functions very well in that sign. Jupiter in Gemini can be a bit problematic. He's in the sign of his debility (opposite the sign he rules) and may be inclined to come up with too many ideas or perhaps be to high-level, but your Virgo nature can easily compensate for that. The Full Moon on September 29 is in Aries, your 8th house of transformations as described above and the Moon is in conjunction with Uranus, instilling his energy to the lunation and forming a T-square with Pluto. Thus this could be an interesting lunation as it will emphasize that Uranus - Pluto square. The Sun is in your 2nd house of income, possessions and such so that will be tied in as well. Be prepared for a situation or event that brings a challenge. The good news is that Saturn and Neptune are trining each other so there will be a useful mix of inspiration with the where-with-all to make it happen. Mars and Venus are squaring each other which can bring friction between the sexes. Venus rules both love and money, however, so it could also have financial overtones. With Venus in your 12th house of inspiration, enlightenment, spirituality, confinement, seclusion, hidden enemies and self-undoing and Mars in your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings and neighbors, these principles could be at cross-purposes as well. |
