Lunations and Long Term Aspects The New Moon this month is on October 15 in nextdoor neighboring sign, Libra, your 2nd house of finance, income, possessions, needs, comforts and pleasures so be on the lookout for something new in this part of your life. That ongoing square between Uranus and Pluto is still in effect with its implications covered in previous horoscopes available on the website so I won't reiterate. Your sign ruler, Mercury, is in Scorpio where he is trying to mitigate a square between Jupiter and Venus. Those two are typically known as benefic planets but they're in signs where they tend to be dysfunctional. Jupiter is in debility in Gemini where he may tend to be a bit too grandiose, ignore details or display over-confidence while Venus is in your sign where her peace-loving nature is a bit ruffled by criticism, details, and meticulous scrutiny of her motives. If your birthday is right around September 7 she is conjunct your natal Sun, which is good for your natural charm and presenting yourself in a pleasing way. Gemini, where Jupiter is hanging out, however, is your 10th house of career, public image, reputation and status. Jupiter went retrograde on October 4 and was squaring your natal Sun if your birthday is right around September 9th. When a planet stations retrograde it packs a pretty good wallop to any planets he's aspecting in your chart so if that's your birthday expect a lesson to come your way which is likely to involve ethics in some way. Given the house placements it's possible that this aspect is about over-confidence but ignoring the details is not something you're prone to do. Nonetheless, there is some sort of conflict here which Mercury is trying to resolve from your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, siblings, and local travel. Mercury is accidentally dignified here as the natural ruler of thoughts, ideas and communication so listen to what he has to say and then mitigate any over-confidence Jupiter may be promoting. Saturn is trining Neptune, a harmonious aspect connecting two very diverse planets. Saturn rules structure, boundaries, responsibility and even karma while Neptune, particularly in his home sign of Pisces, promotes imagination, dreams, transcendence, and dissolving boundaries. However, when combined properly they can work together to manifest your dreams or stuff that originated in your imagination. This is an excellent helper for visualizing what you want and making it real. Saturn is in your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings and neighbors and Neptune is in your 7th house of relationships. Neptune is not always realistic and can be idealistic to a fault, which isn't always good where relationships are concerned but your practical, Earth sign nature is likely to help keep that in line. Mars is trining Uranus but this one is a bit more volatile. Mars is in your 4th house of home environment, cultural roots, memories, endings and new beginnings which is favorable for taking action in one of these areas. Uranus is in Aries, your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and rebirth, debt, and shared resources which is a somewhat unstable environment for the planet that rules sudden change, rebellion, and unexpected events. This is something to keep an eye on because a favorable aspect between two planets with questionable reputations can simply mean they're in cahoots with one another kind of like that kid you were friends with in junior high who always seemed to get you in trouble. The key is to maintain some measure of control and use it or it may use you. On the positive side, this could be favorable for moving or buying a house with Uranus providing some innovative or unique financing. Beginning a new endeavor which will have eventual life-changing effects is another possibility. The Full Moon on October 29 is in fellow Earth Sign, Taurus, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, legal matters, religion, politics, other cultures, foreign travel and relocation. If your birthday is right around August 29 this lunation will have a stronger effect with it likely it will operate primarily on the mental plane. Venus has moved into Libra, which she rules and can thus function nicely, hopefully bringing some money luck your way or at least news of it. Mercury and Neptune are squared off, however, which could bring some confusion or even deception into the picture. One possibility is that any money coming in is quickly spent by someone close to you. Jupiter and Mars are opposing each other and may indicate a conflict between home and work, which of course is not uncommon. You may have a lot of things going on at home or start a new project which has to be balanced out with expanding responsibilities at work or some other consideration. It could be a time of frustration when you want to get moving on something but the funding, approval or whatever is slow in coming. The Saturn - Neptune trine is still in effect, so continue visualizing what you want to manifest. Pluto is in a favorable position with this lunation. If there is the need for compromise or negotiations in the transition of an idea to part of your belief system then Pluto may help you dig into your past which includes your ego development and decide how you really feel about the situation. The 5th house includes that as well as creativity, children, romance, entertainment and speculation. Pluto can help you get to the bottom of just about anything and is also the planet of transformation. Eliminating anything in this realm or transforming it to something new is also favored. Reinventing yourself is greatly assisted by this placement. |
