Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon this month is on October 15 in, you guessed it, your sign. If your solar return falls at this time, which could be the case if your birthday is between October 14 - 16, then it will be with you all year. Of course that Uranus - Pluto square is still out there in fellow Cardinal Signs which messes things up a bit for those of you born around September 28 - 30. Libra, Capricorn, Aries and Cancer are all Cardinal Sign which have a strong propensity to take action. These also constitute your natural angular houses which are important cornerstones of your life including your personality (1st), home environment (4th), close relationships (7th) and career, status or public image (10th). Pluto is in Capricorn, your 4th house which includes your home environment, memories, cultural roots, endings and new beginnings. This is where a new cycle begins as well as including everything about your homelife, including past lives. Pluto particularly relates to exposing corruption and dealing with unresolved matters from the past as well as simply eliminating anything you no longer need in your life. Pluto is also about power trips and control. This could be a signal for you to do just about anything from cleaning out your garage to dealing with something from your past. With him in your 7th house of close relationships which includes your significant other, close friends and relatives, business partners, business professionals, open enemies and competitors you can expect volatility related to these individuals. This is likely to be a time when you find people going out of your life and new ones coming in. The square will perhaps force you to deal with unhealthy situations which need to be resolved. Libras don't like conflict and will typically avoid it, sometimes at any cost, but this is not always the best recourse. When you are pushed too far you may get into the "eye for an eye" mode and be extremely vindictive, which, regardless of how much you may believe that "revenge is sweet," it is not particularly good karma. This square is likely to force the issue, perhaps via events you cannot ignore. This aspect will be in force for a long time, on the order of years, so the Universe does not expect you to solve this overnight but will nudge you along the way. Another square to consider is between your Sign Ruler, Venus, and Jupiter. These two are usually benefic planets but both are in a sign where they cannot function to their best capacity and tend to be somewhat dysfunctional. Venus is in Virgo where her usual peace-loving nature can be too critical, picky or detail-oriented. Jupiter is in Gemini where he may have grandiose ideas or simply too many of them. Virgo is your 12th house of spirituality, enlightenment, dreams, inspiration, confinement, seclusion, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing or what I tend to call the "angels and demons" house. Venus in this locale should be a generally favorable influence, however, even in Virgo. This is a great time to meditate, take up yoga, or nurture this part of your life if you've been neglecting it. Gemini is your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, other cultures, foreign travel, relocation, politics and religion. As noted earlier Jupiter may inflate your expectations to an impossible level but this could still be generally favorable for gathering information. As an Air Sign yourself you are by nature a logical person and this could bring objectivity. Thus, for you this square shouldn't be a problem but may work nicely. If you birthday is right around October 9th Jupiter stationed retrograde trining your Sun so watch for a specific and important message to come your way from this part of your life. Be open to new ideas and opinions and particularly examine your own. Mercury is also aspecting Venus and Jupiter from Scorpio, your 2nd house of income, finances, possessions, needs and pleasures. There are thus both spiritual, mental and emotional dimensions to this closed loop which may result in a change of direction. Saturn is trining Neptune which is a harmonious aspect between very diverse planets. Saturn, which has recently left your sign, is about structure, responsibility, boundaries, and solidity while Neptune, who's in Pisces, the sign he rules and thus in dignity, represents dreams, imagination, idealism and dissolving boundaries. Saturn in your 2nd house will work at structuring your finances. You may find that during this transit that you have some challenges in this area. You may find that things are breaking down and it's difficult to accumulate any extra money. Pisces is your 6th house of work, health, service and pets. Neptune in this house can have far more implications that I can cover in this horoscope. On the positive side this could bring you to the job of your dreams. It could also involve a job with Neptune-ruled matters such as the oil business, water, photography, or delusions such as the film industry. Healthwise it could bring elusive maladies which are difficult if not impossible to diagnose. It could bring involvement with service activities related to charities. It's going to last a long time so you are likely to encounter many of these things over the coming years. For now, keep an eye on your finances and the work you do. If you find the job of your dreams it may initially require tightening your budget. In the long term this may nonetheless be beneficial. Since both Saturn and Neptune are slow movers this aspect will be in effect for a long time so give these areas your conscious attention with regard to what they mean to you. Pursuing the work of your dreams is favored as well as building a solid financial base.
