Lunations and Long Term Aspects This month the Full Moon occurs in fellow Earth Sign, Capricorn, your 5th house of self-expression, creativity, children, romance, entertainment and speculation. Watch for a culmination, ending, or shift to a new phase of something in this part of your life. If your birthday is right around September 5th this lunation forms a favorable aspect pattern known as a triangle of potential with your natal Sun, implying you can use it to your advantage. The Sun is in Cancer most of the month, your 11th house of goals, friends, groups, networking and organizations, bringing attention to that part of your life as well. This energy could be put to good use with a creative goal or quality time with your children or romantic partner along with friends. This is very favorable for group activities and socializing. Pluto is only four zodiacal degrees upstream from the Moon so his energy will influence the lunation fairly heavily. Pluto occupying what is sometimes referred to as the "fun" house is not necessarily going to be a welcome guest. Nonetheless he can serve a useful purpose, particularly his transformational function and propensity for eliminating things you no longer need. For example, this could be a time to dispense with any old hobbies and all their associated paraphernalia. Pluto is also the eye of a yod, a.k.a. Finger of God or, to borrow a term from the 60s comedy show, Laugh In, the "flying fickle finger of fate" which is really quite apropos given that fate usually is involved with this aspect pattern. Mercury in Leo and Venus in Gemini form the base and can provide some additional information with regard to how or what this is all about for you. Leo constitutes your 12th house of angels and demons which includes inspiration, enlightenment, imagination, spirituality, seclusion, confinement, institutions (e.g. hospitals and prisons), hidden enemies and self-undoing. Mercury, your sign ruler, in that venue will facilitate deep introspection to your spiritual values, dreams, and inner motivations. Mercury also rules your 10th house of career, reputation, status and public image which is where Venus resides, bringing that into the mix as well. Venus rules your 2nd house of finances, income and possessions as well as your 9th house of beliefs and expectations, particularly as they relate to society in general. She is also the natural ruler of love and money, the latter of which you have covered in your 2nd house. One way this yod could thus play out would involve drawing something from your imagination or inspiration which can enhance your career as well as express your creativity. This would obviously be a positive manifestation. The worst possible scenario, or at least one of them, for these placements could be if you'd been embezzling funds at work, your actions are discovered and you subsequently go to prison. Hopefully that won't apply to any my readers out there because I can use all of them that I can get. Uranus is tied into the yod in a positive way bringing an element of surprise or perhaps an opportunity for breaking free from convention or your usual way of doing things. Uranus, however, is in a long-term square to Pluto which may complicate things by offering some resistance. Uranus is also at the apex of a T-square with the lunation itself. This, among other things, points toward taking a unique approach to anything you are trying to accomplish and not being afraid to try something different. Being in Aries, Uranus has a lot of energy which can be impulsive or even explosive. This is your 8th house of transformations, death and rebirth (both literal and figurative), sex, debt, shared resources and inheritances. Transformations comprise major shifts that come from life's experiences, particularly the intense ones that rock your world, either physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually. With Uranus in that venue these changes can come about quickly and out of the blue. Mars has just gone into Libra, your 2nd house of finances, income, possessions, comforts, needs and pleasure. He is debilitated in that sign where he cannot proceed in his usual direct manner but must touch base with others before taking action. Thus his energy will be a bit inhibited but this is not necessarily a bad thing in this part of life where prudence is advised. He is trining Jupiter in Gemini, ruler of your 4th house and transiting your 10th of career. This has potential to bode well for your finances. With both Jupiter and Venus in your 10th of career there's a better than average chance of something good happening there which in turn could affect your income. The New Moon on July 18 is in Cancer, your 11th house of goals and groups as noted earlier, so look for something new to develop in that part of your life. The lunation is squaring Saturn in Libra, your 2nd house of finances and such. Fortunately Saturn just went direct after completing his annual retrograde cycle which should help things proceed better than they have the last few months. Saturn is exalted in Libra so his effect is a bit less malefic; his usual function is to provide disciple and structure as well as define boundaries but while retrograde typically brings delays. Since he went retrograde in this house that indicates that some restructuring was done in this part of your life or is currently in work. The implications of this square are that you may have to get some infrastructure in place financially before you can pursue that new goal. Saturn and Mars are both considered malefics which isn't exactly good news for your house of income but hopefully that won't be too much of a problem. Mars in that house could also bring a variety of attacks on your checkbook such as broken items or repair bills. Your best bet is to use the energy to increase your income or conversely rein in expenses. Use the energy or it will use you. With Mercury going retrograde on the 15th, unexpected expenditures for repairs and replacements are even more likely. Definitely avoid purchasing anything mechanical or electronic during that time, at least until August 9 and preferably after August 23. Rent, if necessary, unless you want to risk buying a lemon. If you must, do get that extended warranty. The real caution flag this month lies in the Cardinal T-square involving Uranus, Mars and Pluto. These are all malefic planets residing in signs which have a propensity for action. One nasty way this combination could play out would be that a speculation goes bad and leaves a significant dent in your assets. There are lots of rumors these days with regard to a financial or currency crash so keep track of the news and your investments carefully. |
