Lunations and Long Term Aspects This month begins and ends with a Full Moon though the effects of the latter will probably show up more in September. The long-term aspect to maintain awareness of is that ongoing Pluto - Uranus square. It has a variety of somewhat nasty effects on the mundane side, especially with both planets in Cardinal Signs which are action-oriented. Uranus in Aries already smells a lot like various types of rebellion and Pluto in Capricorn is about power grabs and exposing corruption. Putting these together certain doesn't have friendly implications. As far as you are concerned it's going to depend on how they hit your chart. This month if your birthday is right around August 31 Pluto is trining and Uranus is quincunx your natal Sun. Neither of these are overly difficult aspects as a rule. Pluto is in your 5th house which comprises your ego definition, children, romance, entertainment and speculation which suggests the potential for a purification process in any of these areas, resolving past issues or ridding yourself of something you no longer need. Uranus is in Aries, your 8th house of transformations, which complements Pluto's energy, and hints at sudden or unexpected change at a deep and lasting level. Keep an eye out for anything in these areas which may be subtle but not necessarily. The Full Moon on August 1 is in Aquarius, your 6th house of work, health, service and pets. This is the house that Virgo rules zodiacally and thus holds increased importance. This is an area where you typically shine and set as a priority in your life. This suggests that an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase in this part of your life. The Sun is in Leo, your 12th house of spirituality, enlightenment, dreams, institutions, seclusion, confinement, hidden enemies and self-undoing, bringing emphasis to this area which in turn is likely to reflect in the lunation as well, perhaps bringing a revelation with regard to your work, confronting someone on the job trying to undermine you whom you thought was a friends, and such as that. The New Moon on August 17 is in Leo, your 12th house as defined earlier, i.e. your "angels and demons" house. This lunations connection with Mars and Saturn show various new opportunities coming your way of a financial or materialistic nature. As a realist by nature, you are less likely to fall prey to deception, but be aware that it's out there, perhaps from someone you know well. This is a favorable time to set goals and consider something new. Mercury is now direct, signaling that the time for rethinking or revising is complete and putting your plan into action is favored, the more original and innovative the better.
