Lunations and Long-term Aspects The Full Moon on April 6 is in Libra, your 3rd House of thought, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel. With the Sun in Aries, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, philosophy of life, religion, politics, higher learning, legal matters, other cultures, long-distance travel and relocation, these two parts of your life are likely to tie together in some way which results in a culmination, ending, or shift to a different phase in this part of your life. One long-term aspect out there to be aware of, given it will be out there for most of the year, is the square between Uranus and Pluto. Like the Sun, Uranus is in Aries where he will be for quite a while, given that he moves slowly, though not as slowly as Pluto. Nonetheless, both are outer planets which take their time moving around the Sun with Earth passing them numerous times and thus creating periods where they appear to be moving backwards, i.e. retrograde. As the planet of disruptions, disturbances, surprises, unexpected events, explosions, freedom, technology, rebellion and innovation, he will be emitting these vibes in your 9th house defined above for quite a while. This may be a time when you break away from previous beliefs, discover your talent for technology or find yourself trying to keep up with a hectic schedule at school or traveling abroad. Pluto is in Capricorn, your 6th house of work, health, service and pets. If you are the boss, then this house also includes your employees. Pluto is among other things the zodiacal roto-rooter. Some would call him a cosmic high colonic. Clearly both of these analogies, in spite of their unpleasant implications, serve a useful purpose. If there is anything that needs to be rooted out so that it can be eliminated as necessary, Pluto will take care of business. If there are old issues which have been buried prior to being properly resolved, Pluto will help there as well. You can also compare him to lancing a boil or any kind of surgery where something corrupt is removed which then allows healing to take place. Pluto is also about power, even despotism. You can see his influence in the world around you in the corruption being exposed in government and corporations as well as the iron grip that political leaders are imposing on their minions throughout the world. Indeed, Pluto's entry into the collective consciousness in the 1930s brought fascism on steroids to say nothing of the nuclear bomb. Nice guy, huh? I know that saying there is a positive side to Pluto is akin to the statement "What about all the good things Hitler did?" Power, obsession and control are his hallmarks, yet all of these can be directed in positive ways. With this placement you may encounter a Plutonian entity of some description in the workplace. You may be it, if you are in a position of authority. This is an excellent placement if you are a detective or involved with forensics. Researchers will also find this placement invaluable as will auditors. If you're trying to find something hidden, this is what you need. This placement could even draw you to this type of work. If you are trying to figure out what you want to be "when you grow up" this placement may influence you to go back to school and pursue something of a Plutonian nature. This aspect is powerful, potentially explosive (literally as well as figuratively) and deserves your respect. The Full Moon comes with a T-square which will be of much shorter duration, in fact long-gone by the time of the New Moon. Venus is in Gemini at the apex with Neptune and retrograde Mars in the other two corners. Venus is in your 11th house of groups, friends, organizations, networking and goals, which bodes very nicely for activities in this part of your life. Her sextile to Uranus even promises a few surprises which are likely to be pleasant. T-square-wise, she is squaring retrograde Mars in Virgo, your 2nd house of income, finances, values, comforts, pleasures and needs. If you have felt as if this part of your life has, indeed, been moving backwards the past several months, you probably have Mars to thank for that. Thanks heavens he goes direct this month, so this should improve. One obvious implication of this square is one of not being able to enjoy yourself or do much of anything else such as pursue your personal goals because of money problems. Neptune in Pisces would be exacerbating this over there in your 8th house of debt, shared resources, death and rebirth, sex, and intense experiences. Neptune is in dignity in Pisces as its ruler and he can operate beautifully in this friendly environment. This is great for developing dreams, incredible insights, inspiration, enlightenment, and escaping reality in any way you choose to do so. However, in your house of debt, he may also lead you to believe you will never get out, that those money woes will never end, if that is something on your plate at this time. The message here is to not be discouraged. Things will be looking up, perhaps because a friend helps you believe in a brighter path than the one you're currently on. Don't be surprised if a sudden change of direction comes at you from out of the blue. The New Moon on April 21 is in fellow Fixed Sign, Taurus, your 10th house of career, reputation, public image, and status, which includes anything that may appear in the public record, in the newspaper or even on Facebook, for that matter. If your birthday is right around July 24 this will have a stronger effect. Expect some challenges, but this will also bring some financial help. Uranus and Mercury are conjunct in Aries which is likely to bring an unexpected development from your 9th house which is going to necessitate a change of direction of some sort. Neptune is still opposing Mars and thus clouding the issue there, but inspiration is available as well if you tune into it and are willing to make any necessary changes, which of course is not all that easy for a Fixed Sign such as yourself. Jupiter is in Taurus and he's about as lucky as it gets, so hopefully he will bring something your way as well which will be beneficial. The good news is that you're not likely to be bored anytime soon. |
