Lunations and Long Term Aspects The Full Moon on April 6th is in fellow Cardinal Sign, Libra. If your birthday is right around January 8th this lunation will form a T-square with your Natal Sun which is likely to get your attention. Libra is your 10th house of career, reputation, status and public image, essentially anything that is out there in the world whether in the public record, newspaper, or social media sites such as Facebook. The Full Moon typically brings an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase, so you may attain closure of something in this part of your life. With the Sun in Aries, your 4th house of home environment, memories, cultural roots and endings, which also point toward a new beginning, this part of your life is likely to be affected as well and require balance between these two parts of your life. Pluto is getting ready to go retrograde this month and if your birthday is right around January 1 this is going to occur on top of your Natal Sun. You have undoubtedly already been feeling the effects of this transit for which I can provide a fair amount of sympathy having been through this over the past few years. You can expect your life to change significantly during this time, some of which may not be easy, yet when all is said and done you will be better off in one way or another. If nothing else this is a good transit for discovering and claiming your personal power, particularly if you have not done so sufficiently in the past. Uranus is squaring Pluto which pulls his erratic energy into the mix, though he won't be squaring your Sun directly unless your birthday is right around December 28. Uranus is full of surprises, disruptions and disturbances though he is also the planet of rebellion and freedom. While this combination with Pluto may be a bit explosive in nature, literally and figuratively, this is sometimes exactly what you need to break free of anything holding you back, particularly as it relates to your 4th house. It may not be your home environment directly but could simply signal the end of one cycle and start of another. This may not get started as quickly as you'd like, however, due to the fact retrograde Mars is quincunx Uranus in fellow Earth Sign, Virgo, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, foreign travel, relocation, religion, politics and legal matters. This implies that along with the breaking free of old demons implied by Uranus and Pluto that a shift in this 9th house part of your life, such as your core beliefs and philosophy of life, will require a few adjustments which may take a while to entirely embrace until Mars has gone direct. This occurs this month on April 13, thank heavens, but the shadow period lasts until mid to late June so you won't have all your usual momentum back until them, but at that time you should be able to get it together and proceed full-steam ahead. Your Sign Ruler, Saturn, is also in Libra, your 10th house, and is squaring your Sun if your birthday is right around January 17. He is also retrograde which is a time to restructure something in this part of your life. You can see how all these aspects are working together, however, to nudge you in a slightly different place than you've been in the past. There is a T-square associated with this lunation which comprises Venus in Gemini, Mars in Virgo and Neptune in Pisces which will also be effecting change, though it will be less forceful than some of the other influences. Logical, dual-minded Gemini is your 6th house of work, health, service and pets where Venus is providing favorable energy which may start the process of pointing in a different direction than you've been in the recent past. Neptune in Pisces, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, siblings and local travel, is providing all sorts of inspiring thoughts and insights in this part of your life but you may be so busy with your work that you can't pursue them as you'd like. Mars retrograde in your 9th house of beliefs and expectations is working against this incoming inspiration and thoughts as well where old paradigms and a priori assumptions may be blocking what Neptune is trying to convey. This should improve as Mars gets back on track, but what you can do in the meantime is find some quiet time to meditate on what it might be and be as open-minded as possible to what is trying to get your attention. The New Moon on April 21 is is fellow Earth Sign, Taurus, your 5th house of ego definition, creativity, children, romance, entertainment and speculation. This is sometimes referred to as the "fun house" and represents how you express yourself. If your birthday is right around December 24 this lunation will trine your Natal Sun so watch for something new in this part of your life. By this time Mars is direct and the lunation is trining him in Virgo, your 9th house of beliefs and such, so this will help jump-start what has been trying to get your attention there. Just to make sure you sit up and take notice, Mercury and Uranus conjunct in Aries, your 4th house of home environment, memories and endings, may throw a few surprises your way to shove you in a different direction in their usual "ready or not, here it comes" style. Neptune is in there as well, fueling it all with inspiration, though you may find that balancing it all into an integrated whole may take some effort. Saturn is still pushing for restructuring so bear in mind some changes are required. If nothing else, remember "If you keep on doing what you've always done, you'll keep on getting what you've always got." |
