Lunations and Long-term Aspects

A couple notes for your Bulls this month before I get into the lunations.  First of all, Jupiter is currently transiting your Sign which is certainly good news.  He's been there for a while and this month he'll be transiting your natal Sun if your birthday lies between April 25 - 29.  He is currently retrograde so is moving backwards until Christmas.  Jupiter retrograde typically brings up ethics issues of one kind or another.  This is thus a favorable time to examine your own sense of personal ethics and obtaining a broader understanding of how it affects the quality of your life.  Also note that Jupiter rules Sagittarius which represents your 8th house of transformations, death and regeneration, shared resources, debt, sex, and intense experiences so you may encounter a situation or "Aha!" moment that contributes to considerations in this area.

Also note that as the month progresses there will be quite a cluster of planets in Scorpio, your polar sign.  This means they'll be opposing your Sun at some point as they parade through your 7th house of relationships.  Thus, when you tie this together with Jupiter retrograde, you can see that this is a very favorable time as far as cosmic energy is concerned to give some serious thought to how you relate to those close to you including such matters as respect, consideration, expressing your feelings and being your best self.  Your Sign Ruler, Venus, is in Scorpio until November 3rd, further emphasizing this part of your life.  The 7th house of relationships includes not only your significant other but also close friends and relatives, open enemies and competitors, and professionals with whom you interact on a one-on-one basis such as your financial advisor.

The Full Moon on October 11 is in next-door neighboring sign, Aries, your 12th house of enlightenment, transcendence, spirituality, institutions, seclusion, confinement, hidden enemies and self-undoing.  This is the house of your angels and demons with a Full Moon in this venue an indication that something which resides there will end, culminate, or shift to a new level.  Of course this could tie in nicely with either of the matters mentioned above since enlightenment or some other 12th house event could clearly point your thoughts toward either ethics or your relationships.  Uranus is in Aries and therefore the 12th as well, which can bring a variety of surprises your way or give them a little added punch.

For this lunation there are three planets in Libra, your 6th house of work, service, health and pets.  The Sun and Saturn are conjunct at this time which will highlight responsibility, your obligations and perhaps adding structure or boundaries to this part of your life.  This will form a quincunx with your Natal Sun if your birthday is right around May 8 - 11.  This aspect typically relates to a change of course, adjustment, Catch-22 situation or need to justify your position.  For example, if you were vying for a promotion at work, you would definitely have to provide information that showed your qualifications and demonstrated your ability to perform the additional tasks.  Conversely, if you've been a slacker, eyes may be upon you and given today's work environment could put your name on a list you do NOT want to be on.  So, this is clearly a time to be aware of your work, that even if you don't realize it your superiors are watching, and then show your stuff in the most positive manner possible.

Your Sign Ruler, Venus, is in debility in Scorpio, which as noted earlier is your 7th house of relationships.  Her energy is not as at home in that sign as others and, as you probably have encountered as some time or another during your life, she can become obsessive.  Thus during this transit you may find yourself more possessive than usual or obsessive, so be aware, since these traits often are not well received by the targets of your affection or otherwise.  Venus is aspecting both Pluto and Uranus for the Full Moon which introduces some other effects as well.  Pluto is in Capricorn, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, legal matters such as contracts, foreign travel, other cultures, politics, religion and so forth where he is working at transforming this part of your life.  This is a time when you will fully explore your beliefs in any or all these areas and when you tie it to your relationships what comes out most naturally is your expectations of those close to you.  If any surprises or unexpected events occur at this time they are likely to relate to that area as well.

The New Moon in October 26 is in Scorpio and this is when things can really start to heat up with your relationships.  If your birthday is within a day or so of April 24 this will have the most pronounced effect.  This will not necessarily be earth-shattering but nonetheless will have significance and be worthy of your attention.  The New Moon is aspecting Neptune, Uranus and Jupiter, providing energy to them as well to contribute to something new coming your way with regard to one or more close relationships.  Bear in mind what was mentioned above about Jupiter retrograde and ethics and Uranus' propensity for bringing something unexpected your way which in this case will require a change of course or adjustment. 

Neptune is in your 10th house of career, reputation, status and public image so this New Moon is likely to affect that part of your life in some way as well.  Neptune can create illusions or delusions and when you combine that with relationships it may not always result in something favorable.  Thus, this is not the time to be anything but honest about who and what you are.  Neptune can also dissolve things and could thus affect the status of a relationship by causing it to disappear, which in some cases is a good thing.  This points back to your beliefs and expectations in a subtle way as well.  Since everyone's situation is unique it's up to you to figure out how these energies apply.  With Pluto at the apex of a Triangle of Potential which involves the New Moon and Jupiter, it appears that renovating your beliefs or something else in your 9th house is one of the primary messages to consider. 

Another planet to keep an eye on is Mars which is in fellow Fixed Sign, Leo, your 4th house of home environment.  This is not necessary a very nice place for him to be.  It can be helpful for getting things done around the house but it can also bring contention with family members, especially considering the fact he's squaring both Venus and Mercury in Scorpio which will affect communications and emotions with regard to your relationships.  Mars is sextile Saturn in your 6th house of work and service, which can be beneficial as far as getting a work project started at home.  This energy could be used in a favorable way doing some serious organizing or even beginning some other significant project that needs to be done at home.
