Lunations and Long-term Aspects

The New Moon on March 4 is in Pisces, your 11th House of friends, networking, organizations, groups and goals which should bring something new your way in this part of your life.  If your birthday is right around May 4th be on the lookout for an opportunity that will hold some significance.  There are numerous other planets in Pisces for this lunation including Mars, Mercury and Uranus which further contribute to its energy and overall effect.  Mars isn't particularly well-placed in Pisces where the fluid, dreamy environment tends to diminish his fiery energy.  Nonetheless, you can use this influence to move forward in this area, perhaps to pursue a dream or aspiration you may not have recognized before.  Mercury doesn't function too well in Pisces, either, since he is all about logic and movement which is affected somewhat like a bullet fired through water.  Dreaminess, however, is enhanced, so this can actually combine nicely with Mars to redefine some goals and how to attain them.  If you've had numerous upsets in this part of your life for the past several years, say, since 2003, Uranus is probably the culprit.  Not all of these were bad, to be sure, but if you've had a constant sense of instability for quite a while, particularly with regard to your friends and goals, the good news is that this should end soon.

Jupiter is squaring Pluto who's settled into fellow Earth Sign, Capricorn, your 9th house of higher learning, legal matters, politics, religion, beliefs and expectations, other cultures and travel to faraway places.  Pluto in this neighborhood will tend to entirely upend your core beliefs and force you to examine them, discard those things that are no longer valid, and reinvent your philosophy of life.  Pluto is the zodiacal backhoe who methodically cleans out those areas which are buried, festering and require purging so that renewal can take place.  Ponder the various things included in this house and expect many of them to undergo serious upending in the coming years.  If there's anything you've been ignoring or neglecting that needs to be resolved, Pluto will eventually find it and rub your nose in it unless you're prudent enough to be proactive.   Knowing that Taurus types usually have procrastination perfected down to a artform, you might want to give that some thought.  Mars is sextile Pluto, denoting an opportunity to take inspired action on one of your goals based on resolving something from your past, so it will be worth your time and effort to do so.

Saturn, doing the backstroke in Libra, your 6th House of work, health and pets, is likewise working to resolve or restructure something in that part of your life.  If there are any responsibilities you've failed to assume or obligations you've neglected to meet, Saturn is another planet that can really rub your nose in it.  The New Moon is quincunx Saturn, the implications being that this restructuring with regard to your work or service activities can come about through a course change with your goals, making some different connections or networking in a different way than before or perhaps vice versa.  If all is not hunky-dory in this part of your life, it looks as if the cosmos is lending you a helping hand to put things in proper order.

The Full Moon on March 19 is in fellow Earth Sign, Virgo, your 5th House of ego definition, creativity, children, romance, entertainment and speculation.  This will bring a culmination, ending or shift to a new phase with regard to something in this part of your life.  For example, what has been a romance could shift to a different level, you may complete a creative endeavor or a child may reach a major milestone or leave home.  By this time, however, both Uranus and Mercury have moved into Aries, an energy shift which is bound to be noticeable.  Then again, maybe not, since Aries is your 12th House which comprises dreams, enlightenment, inspiration, imagination, seclusion, confinement institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing, i.e. your woo-woo house of angels and demons.  Uranus is the planet of freedom, independence, disruptions, disturbances, and unexpected events.  If you have any self-defeating habits, this would be a favorable transit for breaking free.  On the other hand, if you have a fair amount of baggage you're toting around, you may encounter a few jolts to take care of business, further reinforcing Pluto and Saturn as noted above.  Innovative inspiration is also possible which will greatly enhance your spirituality.  Just about anything is possible.  Mercury in this house will convey thoughts and ideas related to this part of your life which can be very useful and also assist with anything you need to resolve.

Jupiter and Mercury both are opposing Saturn for this lunation, further indicating there is something lurking there you need to utilize to restructure your work or service activities.  If you don't believe in yourself and constantly undermine yourself, this is the transit to quit doing that so that you can move forward.  Uranus is opposing the Moon which can provide some heart-felt creativity that comes in a sudden and unexpected way.  They say everyone has at least one million dollar idea in their lifetime so pay attention to any brainstorms that come along.  Of course the only reason we're not all millionaires is because typically we don't act on those ideas.  The Moon is also quincunx Neptune in your 10th House of status, reputation, career and public image.  You might give some honest consideration to where you stand in that part of your life, whether you are happy with it, and if not, what you might do to change it.  If you're happy with it already, this provides an opportunity to perhaps polish it some more.
