Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon on March 4th occurs in your Sign and will have the most significance for those of you with a birthday within a day or so of that date since it will also be part of your solar return, putting it into effect for the coming year. There are various other planets in Pisces for this lunation, further adding to its energy. These include Mars, Mercury and Uranus with Uranus but a sneeze away from entering Aries after spending approximately eight years in your sign. As he leaves later this month you should notice a calming effect at the personal level, a reduction in any nervousness you may have gotten used to experiencing since his ingress in 2003, and a more stable vision of yourself and the world. Meanwhile, for the sake of this lunation, here are the contribution those other planets will provide. Mars is somewhat lost in Pisces, its fluid intuition placing a significant damper on his fiery energy. If your birthday is between February 25 - 27 the God of War is sitting on your Natal Sun, increasing his effects which may make you more impulsive than usual, prone to a temper you may usually lack, or on the positive side, be imbued with some extra drive and energy to pursue you personal interests. Mars is sextile Pluto in your 11th House of friends, associations, networking and goals so you may be inclined to socialize more than usual, though Pluto really isn't about such things. Rather, Pluto in this house will bring about what may be a brutal assessment of this part of your life and motivate you to eliminate anything there that is not serving a useful purpose. For example, you may find that certain individuals or organizations simply drain your time and energy without providing anything back, leaving you too tired to do those things that have meaning. As you rid yourself of such albatrosses you will find new friends and activities which will take you in a new direction. This aspect with Mars will be particularly useful in identifying those things that need to be booted out of your life. Jupiter is squaring Pluto as well from your 2nd House of finances, income, possessions, needs and pleasures. The implications for this aspect are similar, i.e. if you want to expand your financial or income picture or have the time for renewal or things you enjoy, you need to get rid of some things that are holding you back. Mercury in Pisces is in what is known as debility, meaning it cannot express its energy properly. Mercury is very logical as opposed to intuitive so is also a bit lost, but if there's anyone who can use this energy to advantage it's a Pisces. This will stimulate your thought processes which should be useful in concert with your strong intuitive sense. This will add a bit more logic to your way of thinking which can be very beneficial. Saturn is retrograde in Libra, your 8th House of transformations, intimate relationships, death and regeneration, shared resources, inheritances, debt and, of course, taxes. Its effects will be at work in your subconscious, however, until mid-June when they will surface in your conscious mind for appropriate action. Saturn is quincunx the New Moon, lending further importance to this transit. You can see how the planets are all working together in their cosmic dance to bring you to another phase of life where you can be more effective, focused and assertive. Pisceans are natural visionaries but manifesting it in the real world as opposed to their imagination is often another story. Saturn is all about structure so this will provide a helping hand of assistance that should be quite useful. Your Sign Ruler, Neptune, is in Aquarius still, where he's obviously been for a long, long time. This is your 12th House, which Pisces rules in the Zodiac, so Neptune is accidentally dignified in this location. If that doesn't make sense, don't worry about it, the main point is that Neptune has been giving you a deeper sense of spirituality along with all those other 12th House matters such as dreams, enlightenment, inspiration, seclusion, confinement, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing. Study each of those for a moment and consider how it applies to your life. Neptune can be inspiration or it can be delusional. Illusions are also part of this domain. While this placement can put your Piscean talents on steroids, that is a two-edged sword if not properly managed. Since it's very possible you live inside a virtual wall of water this may not be something you can even see yourself, much as a light cannot see itself but projects out into the world. In that case, ask someone you know and trust to help you identify your strengths and weaknesses. Venus is in Aquarius as well, bringing her blessings to that part of your life. Her presence can also help you find those things that are assets and rid yourself of those which are liabilities. The Full Moon on March 19 occurs in your polar sign, Virgo, your 7th house of close relationships including your significant other, close friends and relatives, business partners, professionals with whom you interact one-on-one, and competitors. A Full Moon brings an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase, which reinforces the messages of the New Moon pointing toward transformations. At this time Uranus and Mercury have moved into Aries, your 2nd House of finances and such as noted earlier. Uranus in this house may stir things up a bit with unexpected expenditures and so forth. One positive way to harness this energy is to make up your mind to strive for financial independence. Mercury in this house will have more clarity and should bring news or information your way which will be useful, but considering that Mercury and Jupiter, both, are opposing Saturn, you may not like its message. The Moon is quincunx Neptune as well, so if you've been failing to see a relationship in its proper light, you probably will now. Expect to make some adjustments in that area. |
