Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon on March 4 is in fellow Mutable Sign, Pisces, your 10th House of career, reputation, status and public image, making it an excellent time to start something new in this part of your life. If your birthday is right around June 4th this will square your Natal Sun which will present a challenge of some description but this is not to say it won't be a good thing or ultimately very rewarding. Pisces has numerous planets at this time providing a lot of energy besides the lunation. These include Mars, Mercury and Uranus, which will all serve to color it as well. Mars in Pisces is quite subdued, his impulsive energy dampened quite a bit by the emotional and intuitive environment. Be careful not to take action too quickly based solely on intuition. Fortunately, Gemini is a very logical sign so you would probably look at all sides first, but just in case be sure you do. Mercury in Pisces is in debility, its natural logic also swamped by Pisces' dreamy nature. Mercury is your Sign Ruler so it is at a bit of a disadvantage as well. However, there are times when logic doesn't work, so this could be a good thing. Uranus is unconventional, freedom loving, and full of surprises, so expect the unexpected which is going to be accompanied by a fair amount of confusion. The Sun/Moon combo which constitutes a New Moon, is also quincunx Saturn who is retrograde in fellow Air Sign, Libra. This is your 5th House of ego definition, creativity, children, romance and speculation. Saturn is working at rebuilding something in this part of your life and this lunation is contributing to that in some way. A quincunx is a somewhat awkward aspect which typically indicates the need for a change of course, adjustment, a different approach or to defend your position. Give some thought to those 5th House elements and what needs some work as it relates to your career, public image and so forth. If you're in business for yourself give considerable thought to what may be necessary to bring new life to your endeavors. Pluto is in Capricorn, 8th House of transformations, death and regeneration, shared resources, debt and intimate relationships, and squaring Jupiter in Aries, your 11th House of friends, goals, networking and organizations. This implies that any increased efforts you may be putting forth in this area are being held back by something you need to resolve and change, albeit transform, at a personal level. Pluto in your 8th House will have a powerful, regenerative effect over the coming years but you are going to have to eliminate various things from your life which have been a hindrance to your growth. This New Moon is telling you to look at what you want to achieve and what is holding you back, then take care of business accordingly. As Larry the Cable Guy would say, "Git 'r' dun!" With Mars sextile Pluto keep an eye out for some inspiration with regard to the action you need to take to make this happen. Then put all the Piscean energy to work to move closer to your dreams. The Full Moon on March 19 is in Virgo, another fellow Mutable Sign and your 4th House of home environment, cultural roots and memories. A Full Moon typically brings an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase. If your birthday is is around June 20th this will square your Natal Sun and have the most impact. In fact, the Full Moon actually creates a T-square with your Natal Sun and will create a tug-o-war between home and career in some way, or hopefully herald the ending of an existing conflict. Watch for a disturbance or unexpected event that involves either your friends, goals or an organization you're involved with which place increased demands on your time and energy. Saturn is still busy reworking something with regard to your self-expression, children or speculations which is also going to be challenged by that news or information which comes about. Expect distractions and increased involvement with a group or even your own goals that will interfere with your self-expression or vice versa, if you have children they may be competing with your other goals and group involvements for your time. The Moon is quincunx Neptune in your 9th House of higher learning, legal matters, foreign cultures, travel to unfamiliar places as well as your beliefs and expectations, including religious and political paradigms. This indicates the need for an adjustment or change of course with regard to this part of your life which may be a bit too idealistic. Or perhaps you've been neglecting this part of your life and your spiritual development and need to make more time for that as opposed to the pursuit of worldly wealth. What this lunation seems to be saying is to assess your life, how you spend your time, and seek balance in all areas such that none of the major components that make for a fulfilled life are neglected on an ongoing basis. Venus transiting Aquarius should bring some pleasant experiences to this part of your life whether you're taking a class, traveling somewhere you haven't been before, or discovering some new philosophical tidbit that gives you a new appreciation for life. |
