Long-term Aspects and Lunations This month there are three lunations to address, the first of which is a New Moon/Solar Eclipse on July 1st. We had a solar and lunar eclipse last month as well but this one will be the last one until the November/December timeframe. Its path is a relatively small loop in the ocean directly south of Africa and north of Antarctica. The January and June solar eclipses traced across Europe and Asia, thus delivering their effects to areas below that geographically, which haven't been too difficult to identify if you pay any attention to the news. Thus, this one may be a bit more benign since it occurs in such an isolated area. However, it may affect you personally, particularly if it hits a sensitive area of your natal, progressed or solar return chart. This eclipse is in Cancer, your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and regeneration, debt, shared resources and intense experiences. It is likely to bring about a change of direction, particularly if your birthday is within a day or so of December 2nd. Your sign ruler, Jupiter, is in Taurus, your 6th house of work, service and health, indicating expansion and perhaps some extra luck in this part of your life. Pluto is in your 2nd house of income, finances and possessions where he's working at transforming and regenerating this part of your life is some way or another and trying to cooperate with Jupiter. However, Pluto is part of a Grand Square which includes the eclipse, throwing quite a few challenges into the mix. Uranus in your 5th house of ego definition, children, romance, entertainment and speculation is undoubtedly stirring things up in that venue. Later this month Uranus goes retrograde, which will stir things up even more and thus be working against Pluto. The eclipse is already in your 8th house of transformations, throwing a lot of energy in that direction, with Saturn in Libra, your 11th house of goals, completing the Grand Square and pulling in these effects and possible hindrances to achieving your goals. Thus, if you feel as if you're trying to make your way up an icy hill or even mountain wearing tennis shoes, this would explain a lot. However, all is not lost. In spite of that Grand Square, what really counts for you is how it lines up with your Natal Sun. If your birthday is between November 27 - December 3 you will be tied into all this more directly. Financial opportunities that require hard work are possible and opportunities to achieve your goals are out there, perhaps through your friends or networking, though you need to examine your goals and make sure they're not blinding you to new directions. The changes and disruptions Uranus is contributing to may be the very thing you need to shift directions and that eclipse may be the "Aha!" moment you need to see things differently. Someone you're close to or perhaps a business partner may represent some resistance or opposition but you need to pay attention to what they say because there is a grain of truth in there that will do you good if you internalize it properly. The Full Moon on July 15th will bring a culmination or shift in phase to something in your 2nd house of income and possessions, implying that by then you will have figured a few things out. There are still plenty of distractions and surprises out there affecting your finances, but those opportunities to expand something related to your work and income are still there. Responsibilities may get in the way with the desire for independence particularly strong, especially if some situation requires finance help you'd prefer not to accept. This is a favorable time to thoroughly examine your belief systems with someone you trust to explore all your options. The New Moon on July 30 should bring something new from fellow Fire Sign, Leo, you 9th House of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, other cultures, politics, religion, and foreign travel. This is the house that Sagittarius rules in the Zodiac and thus a part of life which should be rather comfortable for you. The aspects for this lunation are relatively friendly, especially compared to what's been out there so far. Uranus is bringing innovation and originality to your creative side which will be of benefit to whatever is brewing in your 9th house. A change of course is going to be required financially, or perhaps a Catch-22 situation, but the final result should be favorable and include news or information regarding your career or status. Continue to seek input and inspiration from someone close to you, even though their reaction to that news may be someone less that you expect. Sift through all information as objectively as possible and you're likely to find a useful nugget in there somewhere. |
