The New Moon on January 4th is also a Solar Eclipse which occurs in Capricorn, your polar sign and 7th House of close relationships. If your birthday is within a day or so of July 6 this will have a noticeable effect on your life. Solar eclipses tend to bring events and situations your way which can have a deep and profound affect on your life. Since you are ruled by the Moon, you will feel this even more than the other signs. This eclipse is a member of the 13 North family in the Saros series with its generic meaning relating to major group projects which will require a separation or break of some description prior to its completion. On a personal level this will usually involve a separation followed by a substantial group accomplishment.

As far as this specific eclipse is concerned with the Moon, Sun, Mars, Pluto and the North Lunar Node all in Capricorn, clearly something is going on with one of your close relationships. It is highly likely that relationships are consuming much of your time lately with lots of activity in that part of your life. Not all of it may be positive, however, with confrontations not making things very easy. Deep introspections into the past are favored which will give you increased understanding of past events and feelings. This is a very natural and necessary process; as we mature, we gain greater insight and understanding of the past which we may have missed previously as your experience level opened your eyes to additional angles to certain situations. With the North Lunar Node in your 7th House someone new will come into your life sometime in the coming weeks or even months, since the effects of an eclipse tend to last longer than the typical lunation.

Your creativity and self-expression will be favorable and influenced in a positive manner by unexpected changes to how you see the world and even your philosophy of life. Some challenges will be presented but the inspiration and enlightenment you derive from them will influence you at a deep and lasting level. Your compassion and understanding of others will increase in unexpected ways. Responsibilities at home are likely to increase and cause some tension within your relationships. This will be a time when you are reevaluating various aspects of your life and coming to new conclusions and approaches to what you want.

The Full Moon on January 19th is in your sign. If your birthday is within a day or so of July 22 this will have an even stronger effect. A Full Moon typically brings an ending or culmination, which of course implies a new beginning of some sort. This will be at the personal and emotional level and involve your relationships as well. New experiences and insights continue, some of which will impact you at a deep and lasting level and perhaps even nudge you toward a change of course or adjustment of some sort. Personal growth will results as you break away from something which affects your beliefs and expectations, giving you a greater sense of independence and freedom.

Saturn goes retrograde on January 26 which will last through mid-June. During this time you will experience various delays and obstacles with regard to your home environment. Don't expect to make too much progress during this time and simply factor that into your plans to avoid frustration. While Saturn is retrograde he will be stirring up something with regard to your home environment, past or present, in your subconscious which needs to be restructured. You probably won't even be aware of it until he goes direct next summer, at which time you'll recognize something in this part of your life which needs to be restructured. You may feel a sense of heaviness or even melancholy with regard to your home life which is vague and seemingly without cause or reason which will be Saturn ruminating on something which he'll reveal in June.
