Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon on February 2nd in Aquarius occurs in your 10th House of career, reputation, public image and status. Thus, you should be on the lookout for something new to come your way in this part of your life. Bear in mind that "status" covers a lot of ground; just think of updating your "status" on Facebook and the wide variety of things that you report and you will get some idea. In particular, these are things visible to the public and also include anything that may appear in the public record such as licenses or the newspaper such as marriages, becoming a parent, graduating from school, and so forth, particularly if a title or label is involved. If you are promoted or fired, elected or defeated, recognized for an outstanding achievement or conversely arrested, these are all likely to show up in your 10th house. Other planets also in Aquarius for this lunation include Mars, Neptune and the asteroid, Chiron, a.k.a. the "wounded healer." Mars is closely conjunct the New Moon system which comprises a conjunction between the Sun and Moon, in case you've forgotten your elementary school astronomy. This imparts a lot of energy and drive, which can assist you (or work against you) with regard to something in this part of your life. If you're in any kind of trouble with a government agency, this may not be in your favor, particularly if your birthday is within a day or so of May 4 since this trio will square your natal Sun. Saturn is tied to this trio by trine, typically a favorable aspect but when malefics (such as Mars and Saturn) are involved the result is not always good since it only means that the planets' energies are in harmony. However, it does provide more of an opportunity for you to use the energy in a favorable way than if it were an opposition or square. With Saturn in your 6th house of work, health and pets, you may have a situation there that affects your status. With a trine, it could even mean a promotion, however, but with Saturn retrograde there may be delays. If your birthday is between May 19 - 21 you may lose something or encounter a disappointment, perhaps due to having unrealistic expectations. Watch for opportunities that could come out of the blue, probably as the result of a friend or networking, which relates to one of your goals. News or ideas with regard to a legal matter could be beneficial at this time as well. Your sign ruler, Venus, is in Sagittarius, your 8th House of death, sex, transformations and debt. A change of direction may be called for in this area. Venus is squaring Jupiter in your 12th House of dreams, visions, institutions, seclusion, hidden enemies and self-undoing. Jupiter usually relates to expansion, your core beliefs, and is often lucky as a benefic planet, but he can sometimes create a sense of over-confidence. One obvious implication here is that this is not the time to go into debt for something you've been dreaming of without being certain you can afford it and that the time is right otherwise. You are usually cautious by nature and this is not the time to throw that out the window. Pluto will be transiting your 9th house of higher learning, legal matters, other cultures, beliefs & expectations, religion and politics for several years. During this time you can expect a general overhaul of anything relating to this house which may be worn out or buried inappropriately and require exposure and mitigation. In other words, if your core beliefs are askew, expect to have your nose rubbed in them at some point to get your attention. The Full Moon on the 18th is in Leo, your 4th house of home environment, memories and endings. Since a Full Moon typically denotes a culmination or ending, expect something along those lines in that part of your life. If your birthday is right around May 21 this will be more noticeable. The Moon is opposing not only the Sun, as it always does for a Full Moon, but also Mercury, Mars, and Neptune, all clustered together in Aquarius, again your 10th house of status and reputation. A conflict of some sort between your public and private life is highly likely. Those of you with birthdays around May 7, expect a change of direction with regard to your job or health, which is likely to take place over the next several months as Saturn proceeds through his retrograde period. There will be a conflict or challenge of some sort that could relate to your beliefs and expectations or possibly some other 9th house matter. Saturn retrograde stirs up something in your subconscious that needs to be restructured and reworked though you will probably be unaware of exactly what it is until Saturn goes direct in mid-June. At that time it will become apparent, and by mid to late September, when he overtakes the position where he went retrograde you should have it taken care of. Remember that Pluto is also working on your beliefs and so forth, especially during this time as he's squaring Jupiter, natural ruler of such things. Jupiter is in Aries, your 12th House of dreams, visions, self-undoing, i.e. angels and demons, so if you have any self-defeating behaviors, the Universe is trying to help you rid yourself of them during these transits. We may not always like what comes our way but it's important to remember that whatever it is relates to your growth.
