Lunations and Long-term Aspects

The New Moon on February 2nd is in Aquarius, your 12th house of spirituality, dreams, visions, institutions, seclusion, hidden enemies, transcendence and self-undoing.  As you're probably aware, Pisces is the natural ruler of this woo-woo house, residence of your angels and demons.  Therefore you need to be on the lookout for something new to come into this part of your life.  It may be as simple as a touch of inspiration, but considering that Mars is nestled in with the Sun/Moon taking action on it is definitely implied.  Aquarius is loaded with planets at this time imparting a lot of energy which you can put to work for you.  Your sign ruler, Neptune, is there as well, along with the asteroid, Chiron, the "wounded healer."  Neptune has been there for a long, long time but will be stepping into your sign next month where he'll stay until retrograde motion takes him back to Aquarius in August, where he'll stay for a year before going back into Pisces on February 4, 2012.  Either location boosts Pisces psychic and intuitive powers which you are wise to recognize and use.  Pisces often feel out of place in the "real" world until they realize they have talents and abilities beyond those of "normal" people which they just need to learn to wield in such as way as to assure their survival.

Thus, this lunation should kick-start some new vision or inspiration and give you a boost toward getting it off the ground.  The Sun, Moon, Mars trio is trining retrograde Saturn in Libra, your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and rebirth, debt and shared resources.  This has interesting implications since retrograde Saturn is all about restructuring something which is going to relate to this part of your life.  Most people usually aren't aware of what it is until Saturn goes direct, but given Pisces' incredible intuition you can probably figure it out, particularly since this lunation should be providing a few substantial hints.  At any rate, this trine indicates that if you transform something about how you see the world it will help you achieve this new vision or dream.  There are two specific opportunities out there to watch for because they may not come again.  Sometimes the Universe is patient, and sometimes it's not, and these little glimpses it provides from time to time don't always stay around if you ignore them, purposely or otherwise.

The first one involves a sextile between Venus in fellow Mutable Sign, Sagittarius, your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status and your buddy, Neptune.  This suggests that something or someone related to your public persona will provide some inspiration.  Since you so often encounter fantasies this is probably business as usual, but be particularly watchful.  Another opportunity relates to Mercury, natural ruler of ideas, who is sextile Uranus in your sign; in fact, if your birthday is on or within a day of March 19, it is sitting on your natal Sun.  Mercury is in your 11th house of friends, groups, organizations and goals so this idea, news or perhaps even a conversation, can deliver a surprise of some sort or possibly allow you to break free of something that has been holding you back.  Watch for that, also.

There are a few challenges out there as well, however.  In this case remember that if you don't use the energy out there it will use you and you have a better chance of overcoming obstacles if you acknowledge them and face them head-on, regardless of how tempted you may be to disappear into your own little world and let them be.  The first one to look for, which involves a square between Venus and Jupiter, can probably be turned to your favor more easily than the others.  Venus and Jupiter are both benefic planets who usually don't cause much trouble other than an occasional bout with over-confidence.  Venus, as you recall, is in your 10th house of public image, status, and reputation and implies favorable publicity or being looked upon in a positive way by the public.  Jupiter in Aries, your 2nd house of finances, income, possessions, needs and pleasures, could tend to make you a bit extravagant.  If what you're trying to accomplish involves publicity, you may encounter a problem or two funding it or it may cost more than expected.  Once you get past that, however, which your keen imagination should resolve easily, it should turn out okay.  Venus is also squaring Uranus.  The caution with this one is that breaking free, acting too eccentric or rebellious or unpredictable could harm your public image, reputation or status.  Status, much as it's used on Facebook, relates to a plethora of situations, largely those things that turn up in the public record, newspaper and so forth.  Licenses denote status as do degrees, certifications, titles, labels and such.  Be careful you don't do something foolish that bites you.

Another square to keep an eye on is one between Jupiter and Pluto.  Pluto is in your 11th house where he is rooting around for anything in this part of your life that should be eliminated.  This includes friends, organizations, groups and even goals, as noted earlier.  This will be ongoing, long-term transit so this will go on for years, but this square to Jupiter will last a while, too, and ties it to your 2nd house of income and such as a conflict.  Specifically, expanding your financial well-being could easily be dependent on eliminating something from your 11th whether its a worthless goal, organizational tie, or even a blood-sucking friend who takes either your time or resources which could be used better elsewhere.  You're smart, figure it out.

The Full Moon on February 18 is in Leo, your 6th house of work, service, health and pets.  This automatically seems to tie back to whatever needs to be eliminated noted above if you're involved in work or service with a group.  A Full Moon typically brings an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase, so look for where this ties in.  If your birthday is right around March 19 - 21 this is definitely giving you a shove in a different direction.  All those planets parked in Aquarius, which now also includes Mercury, are opposing the Moon along with the Sun, indicating a challenge between all that stuff in your woo-woo house and perhaps ending that work or service.  If your health is a problem, it may also be standing in your way.  There are two squares a.k.a. challenges involved to overcome.  One is the Jupiter - Pluto square noted above which is still in effect.  The other is a square between Venus, now in Capricorn, that 11th house of groups and goals, and retrograde Saturn.  Remember that Saturn is working on some sort of transformation or perhaps something debt or shared-resource related which needs to be restructured.  Whatever that is will conflict with what could be a money goal or some organizational tie that you need to resolve.

This looks like a busy month which will be packed with activity, most of which is in a part of your life which you are uniquely equipped by your Sun Sign to handle.  Feel free to rely on your strong intuition and don't ignore those little flashes of inspiration that come your way because sometimes the littlest action can move a mountain.  Next month the New Moon will be in your sign so this is probably preparatory to something significant coming your way.  Be ready.
