The New Moon on February 2nd is in fellow Air Sign, Aquarius, your 9th house of higher learning, legal matters, other cultures, religion, politics, beliefs & expectations, and travel to unfamiliar places, making this the part of your life to watch for something new. Other planets in Aquarius contributing to the energy of this lunation include Mars, which is in close conjunction with the Sun/Moon pair as well as Neptune and the asteroid, Chiron, a.k.a. "the wounded healer." Knowing how Gemini natives love learning, this provides a lot of energy for you to move forward with some new endeavor in that area. The Sun, Moon, Mars trio is trining retrograde Saturn in Libra. All this Air Sign activity indicates that those of you with birthdays between around June 4 - 8 will feel this in a very positive way since the New Moon and Saturn will form a Grand Air Trine with your Natal Sun. If you're a Gemini born at other times it will still bring a lot of good energy in your direction.

Saturn retrograde usually isn't something to write home about, but being in Libra, the sign of his exaltation, puts a bit of a different spin on it, particularly in your 5th house of ego expression, creativity, children, entertainment and speculation. There is something in this part of your life that needs to be restructured and Saturn will help you find it and take care of business. Until mid-June you may not even realize what it is, but by then you should and if you take action you should have it all taken care of and in place by the end of September. This could relate to reinventing yourself in some way or doing so through an educational pursuit or even a trip to somewhere you've never been before. All in all, this sounds rather pleasant!

A few opportunities are associated with this lunation as well which may give you additional clues on how this will manifest in your life. Venus and Neptune are forming a nice sextile which usually denotes a chance which will be handed to you. With Venus in Sagittarius, your polar sign and 7th house of relationships and Neptune in Aquarius, your 9th as defined above, this suggests that this one will come from either a woman you know well or perhaps a romantic partner or significant other. This could be as simple as someone who meets that description pointing out an opportunity related to your 9th house, such as a major sale in airline fares to your favorite dream destination. Another sextile comprises Mercury in Capricorn, your 8th house of transformations, and Uranus in Pisces, your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status. This has some nice implications as well that point toward a life-changing event or idea that brings about a sudden or unexpected change related to your career or status or perhaps to break away from something.

Of course there are a few challenges with this New Moon as well, but hopefully being aware of them will help you navigate them successfully. First of all, Venus is squaring both Jupiter and Uranus. Venus, as previously noted, is in your 7th house of close relationships and thus represents a person. Jupiter in Aries, your 11th house of friends, associates, groups, and goals indicates a time for expanding these activities, such as networking. This, however, may not be something this person close to you supports, as well as the major change in status represented by Uranus. Therefore, this individual may try to get in your way or talk you out of pursuing these opportunities, so brace yourself. Pluto is squaring Jupiter, an aspect which indicates expanding your networking or other activities involving your friends is going to first require that you resolve something which can have a profound effect on you. If there is some issue you've been burying and refusing to confront, doing so may be required before you can move forward with what you truly want. So there are opportunities, possibly big ones, but the price will be taking care of something that may not be easy but will prove to be liberating if you do.

The Full Moon on February 18 is in Leo, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings and neighbors, the house which Gemini rules zodiacally so one that is comfortable and familiar for you. A Full Moon typically denotes an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase. There are still a bunch of planets in Aquarius including Mercury, Mars, Neptune and of course the Sun. If your birthday is right around June 21st this will form a Triangle of Potential with the Sun and Moon, putting you in the driver's seat to control and mitigate any negotiations required to resolve whatever the Full Moon brings your way. The implications are that your own thoughts and ideas about what you want to do could present some obstacles between you and what you want. Of course siblings or neighbors could be involved, perhaps giving you more unwanted advice about what you should do. Breaking away or pursuing that unexpected event related to your status will require a change of direction of some sort.

The square between Jupiter and Pluto described earlier is still in effect and at this time Venus is squaring retrograde Saturn. By this time Venus is in Capricorn, your 8th House, indicating that Saturn's efforts to restructure something related to your ego, creativity or children is still meeting resistance as far as you making any necessary personal changes with how you see the situation. There are some major transformations at a personal level called for with these lunations in order for you to pursue what you really want. In other words, it's very possible that the only person really holding you back is you. Nonetheless, it looks as if opportunity is definitely knocking this month, provided you have what it takes to make it so.
